Great For Maintaining Weight
I lost a lot of weight after prolonged back issue's and tried several products to help maintain and keep my weight on,which never seemed to work. I am a small framed women and slender built and have always had trouble gaining weight and keeping it on. I really like this Six Star Pro Whey Protein. I make a protein shake after my morning walk and exercise routine using this added to soy milk, banana, pineapple and ice cream. It is absolutely delicious and helps to stabilize my weight and maintain it. I also love the chocolate flavor and recommend this Whey Protein mix highly. Great service from Walmart.com as usual. Thank You!

Changed Taste AND Formula 2021
Photo of the old formula on the left and new on the right. This product was great in the past. I've been using it every day for the past few years. Now that the formula has been changed, I switched to a different brand. I was buying this protein for the BCAA Blend and creatine monohydrate already mixed in. Those things have now been removed and a few vitamins and whatever "NordicCherry Tart Cherry Extract" is were substituted. Maybe the formula was changed due to low profits, I don't know, but I would gladly pay a few extra dollars for the BCAA Blend and creatine to be put back in. There is a positive though...the Triple Chocolate tastes better.

    Six Star Whey Protein
    Tastes good, mixes well, even with a hand shaker. I use these type of products to supplement my protein intake, as I don't eat a lot of foods that provide protein. As for the claims of being 70% better than other protein powders, I could not find those clinical studies on the internet. They are not provided with the product. The ingredients listed are of good quality and mix and should work well for a person who is body building already. The average person will not "grow" muscles by drinking this product alone. Only working out at the gym can do that. The product look and advertising seems to give the impression you will get muscle mass from drinking this. Most Protein powders do give this impression. However, when you read the full description on the back of the jug, it DOES say the product is for Athletes. The Amino Acids and Digestive enzymes, also, are a good plus for me, as my metabolism is not the best! I do like this product and will continue to use it as a protein supplement- 170 calories per serving.

    Six Star Whey protein Elite Series
    i wanted to give my opinion on they Whey Protein products. I have a son that has been wanted to beef up his body a little, he is about six foot tall but has always had a slender body. The product tested was Six Star Whey Protein Elite Series in the Triple Chocolate flavor. He uses this product twice per day before he goes out to do a little weightlifting. He mixes it up in a shaker cup with the little ball insert to mix the powder and milk, he claims this is the best way to mix it up. He loves the taste something like a chocolate shake. He has been using the product for over a year now and i was surprised of the definition that can be seen in his muscles. His arms and legs have increased in size and he now has a six pack , so this product must be working because i happen to know that he does not eat right , too much pasta and fast food. So i gave this product a five star rating and it deserves it.

    Happy Senior has found Six Star Whey Protein
    What a yummy way to get a great amount of protein. My internist recommended that I add whey protein to my diet for muscle and strength. She said it is very important for seniors also to receive the benefits of a whey supplement. I never would have thought of the idea myself. This the third brand of whey protein I have consumed, and without any debate, Six Star Whey Protein Plus Triple Chocolate is the superior supplement in taste and ingredients. Important to me -- it's not too sweet! I first mixed it plainly with milk. Delicious, but why stop there? Now, for a really healthful smoothie, I use my blender with three scoops of the triple chocolate, frozen mixed berries, plenty of kale, spinach and about a cup of milk. This recipe makes six thick 8-ounce cups. I drink a large glass when made, and freeze the rest in 4 cups. Sometimes, I scoop a frozen cup with a spoon and eat like it ice cream. Other times, I microwave to a soft sorbet, and with a meal -- defrost it as a shake. Learning about this MuscleTech product has informed me that it contains BCAAs, glutamine and digestive enzymes as well as creatine. As a senior I am excited to learn more, and combine my blender creations with an exercise program to gain strength and muscle. Using Six Star Whey Protein is a no brainer.

    Six Star Pro Nutrition Whey Protein Plus Triple Chocolate is really not bad in taste. I've tried many different kinds of whey protein powders and I can say for taste, Six Star Pro Nutition Whey Protein Plus is on top of my list for preference. I find it quite smooth and malty. Please keep in mind that this is a whey protein drink, to help build muscles, not an ice cream milk shake from a diner which will build fat, therefore, do not expect an extremely tasty dessert. But you can assume to have a sweet chocolaty shake that will help you build muscles. To make this drink, mix 1 to 2 scoops of the Six Star Pro Nutrition Whey Protein Plus Triple Chocolate with 6 to 12 ounces of water or milk. I personally enjoy this drink with milk better, but everyone has their own preference, so I suggest to try it with different kinds of liquids to see which you prefer most. I do like whole milk better for the taste, but to make a healthier drink, I use low fat milk to mix with the whey protein powder. I use an electric blender to mix these contents together because I find that an electric blender makes it easier to mix everything thoroughly than a shaker cup. With a shaker cup, the powder gets stuck on the bottom of the shaker and can't be mixed with the fluids evenly, but with an electric blender, everything gets mixed well and produces a very smooth chocolate shake. Before and after a workout, I would make a serving of this beverage. I prefer this drink cold, so mixing it with cold milk makes this the perfect workout beverage. I do a 5 day work out, cut back on carbs, and I consume fewer calories due to the fullness I get from having this drink. After following these steps, I feel healthier and more energetic. Also, Six Star Pro Nutrition Whey Protein Plus Triple Chocolate contains 2.5g of creatine per serving and added amino acids, which is a plus.

    Great Flavor and Texture
    Loved the flavor and the texture is smooth and not gritty like some products I have used in the past. I tried it in several ways, it makes a great smoothie with your favorite milk or dairy free product such as soy milk or coconut milk, a banana and a scoop of protein powder. Or if you are a flavored coffee drinker that like cold or iced coffee it makes a great mocha cocoa, I even stirred some into slightly warm coffee and it worked, but don't try it in Hot things as it will cook the proteins. I use a single serve blender to mix most of my smoothies, but when I was trying my coffee's I discovered that it stirs in with just a spoon as well and still is smooth and not gritty or grainy and dissolves quite well. If there is a con to this one I would have to say there is another brand I like better. Mainly because it is just as good tasting and smooth, but it has more vitamins, minerals and it has a lot off amino acids of which I lack some of due to a thyroid condition. The other one can also be used as more of a meal replacement when on the go. Other than that this is a great product.

    Six Star Pro Nutrition Whey Protein Plus Triple Chocolate has 30 grams of Protein, only 2 grams of sugar and 9 grams of carbs per 1 scoop serving. If you love chocolate you will enjoy this flavor. Six Star Pro Nutrition Whey Protein Plus Triple Chocolate mixed perfectly in cold water. It did not not have an chucks or pieces as other protein brands do. Used my shaker cup with the mixer ball and without. Same consistent results. The label reads to use 1 scoop to 6 oz water. I used 1 scoop to almost 12 oz of water and found that the mix was like a chocolate shake, rich and creamy. Still have loads of chocolate flavor! Six Star Pro Nutrition Whey Protein would be a good meal replacement or work out drink as it is slow burning so you stay full longer. They have added fast-absorbing BCAAs and glutamine to help you recover from your workouts. If your concern is weight gain and sensitive to creatine, do know that over time if you take creatine, you'll probably gain weight. If you are a body builder or do high intensity training, like me, this might be the Protein for you.

    EXCELLENT PRODUCT AT VERY REASONABLE PRICE!
    This review is not your normal one for whey protein as we don't use it for the "workout" rebuilding muscle, etc. reasons. We are elderly buyers who occasionally use a whey protein drink as a meal replacement. Sometimes we just don't feel like a big meal, but know we need to eat (or drink) healthy instead of just snacking. It's amazing as you get older how just a drink like this can fill you up, make you feel satisfied and also be very healthy for you! I usually go for the vanilla flavor, but my husband loves this triple chocolate and sometimes, now that the weather has turned cold, heats it up, tops it with just a few mini-marshmallows and enjoys a nice, hot HEALTHY beverage. I always mix it with skim milk and do the mixing in our blender to achieve a really smooth consistency. We tried several different brands (some of them much more expensive) and really feel like this product is our favorite. We're not into all of the body building facts that others are, but this is good-tasting, easy to prepare and give us a feeling we're doing something good for our bodies while keeping calories in check. Highly recommend Six Star Pro Nutrition Whey Protein for the regular user goals and also for us seniors!!

    Great Six Star Whey Protein Plus
    I have been using other brands of Whey Protein for awhile now and the Six Star Whey Protein Plus is by far the Best. The triple chocolate flavor is fantastic and easy to mix too. Only one scoop is needed. Weight of product is 2.00 lbs (907 g). Enhanced with 2.5 grams of Creatine per serving . It has 0 Aspertame, 170 Calories, 2 grams of Sugar, 0 grams Trans Fat, 100 mg Sodium, and 30 grams of Protein in a serving. If you are looking for a protein drink this one is excellent because of the low sugar and sodium content. I suggest using water to mix it with because you get less calories plus it mixes well in water. I also like to use my blender and add ice to mix. I use it for breakfast and sometimes for a lunch or dinner meal - great to drink when you don't have time for meal. Protein in your diet can help you to eat less because you tend to be fuller (not a weight loss Supplement). Whey Protein is used in helping you build muscle and strength. I would recommend this product. It is a great value for the price. I love it and would buy the product.
