A must for children
These golden books are wonderful and if you are older, you remember back then they were wonderful. All children should know about the fairy tales of old, cinderella, snow white, etc. I enjoy reading them to my grand daughter.

In the book Snow Whit...
In the book "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs", a beautiful princess is punished by her evil stepmother because of her beauty. Her evil stepmother refuses to have any other person living that is more beautiful than herself, so she arranges to have Snow White killed. Snow White runs away to live with seven dwarfs, until her stepmother poisoned Snow White with apples. The stepmother was killed by a lightening strike. And Snow White's spell was broken by a prince who kissed her, and they lived happily ever after. This is a silly story that could never happen, yet one that has appealed to children for years. Most girls especially like this book, because the main character is a princess. This book demonstrates that their is jealousy and danger in the world. There is not an activity that I can think of to share with the class to go along with this book. However, it would be a great time to talk to my students about how jealousy has negative effects. And how by being a good friend like the dwarfs were to Snow White have positive effects.

3.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser04/05/2015This book is a classic...This book is a classic traditional literature. I loved reading it for many reasons. First, the illustrations in the book are wonderful. They are colorful, eye catching and fill up the whole page. For example, when the queen dips the apple snow white will eat in poison, the author illustrates the image with bright reds, oranges, and yellows to give the reader full understanding about how nasty the poisonous apple is. Second, I love the message of the book. I think the overall message of the book is to persevere and believe in the good because then good things will happen to you. For example, Snow White believes in the good of herself and the seven dwarfs and defeats the evil queen at the end of the story.Kelsey_Barrell

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser01/30/2012Summary: Snow White an...Summary: Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is about a Princess who's stepmother is jealous that she is the fairest in all the land. The stepmother tries to have Snow White killed by a huntsman but he could not kill her. She found a lovely cottage to stay in with seven dwarfs. One day the Queen found her and fed her a poison apple and it put Snow White into a deep sleep. The dwarfs guarded her until one day the prince arrived and kissed Snow White, waking her from the spell. And of course they lived happily ever after. Personal Reaction: I love this book and the story it tells. The pictures are very graphic and explain the story well. I remember as a kid I used to dream of being a Princess and having my Prince come find me. I love the Disney books because there is always a happy ending. Classroom Extension Ideas: 1. Teaching good and evil 2. Teaching about strangers 3. Teaching about the beauty of friendship 4. Teaching about jealousy 5. Students could do an arts and crafts activity with drawing a mirror and telling who they think the fairest in all the land isSarahClick

Little girls love the Disney channel, and all the Disney princesses. It has a great story behind it that shows you cannot trust anybody. It also has the happy ever after ending with Snow White finding her prince. All girls want a prince charming.jsa110

I really liked reading this book because i've always loved the story of snow white and the seven dwarfs. I think that this is a very good tale. in the classroom i could give all the students a part and have them each read and act out there part, kind of like a play. also, i could have the students make up a eighth dwarf and have them draw and tell about that dwarf.ashdawn21
