Great to have on hand for any tomato sauce use. The Pioneer Woman suggests marinara and I think Barilla is the best brand of anything.

    Deliciously Surprised
    I usually make my own sauce but wasn't in the mood to do so. On a whim I bought the Barilla Marinara and added a 14 oz. can of diced tomatoes for my goulash. I can't stand sweet sugary over spiced jar sauces, and this was anything but that. Tomato flavor shines through without being acidic. Perfect.

    Poor packaging. Made a mess!
    Do not order this online! We just received a shipment. Although it was wrapped in brown paper, one of the marinara glass jars was broken and spilled marinara all over the other dry goods in the shipment. We won't be ordering any liquid items again unless they are in metal cans. This is a negative review for the Walmart packaging. Barilla marinara is very good.

    this product is tasty but you eat too much of it it will give you heartburn I like this brand of sauce my last food order I ordered they said it was shipped but I never received it but I buy a lot of products from walmart.com 3 times before that and when I say a lot I mean a lot a TON

    Barilla Best for Base but Price ruined taste
    This is really ONE OF the best tasting 'out of the jar' base sauces as a standalone for less discerning palates, or for easily enhancing by adding additional Italian seasonings, some minced garlic, sweet peppers, sausage, etc.. I ordered it for years and recently had a conversation with someone about how the same sauce was a dollar more in my local pretentious and over priced market, which was one of the reasons I liked ordering from Walmart.com. HOWEVER, soon after that I came here to place a new order and found they had now doubled the price for a base marinara while numerous other sauces by Barilla remain at the previous price. This is something that seems to happen quite a bit whenever I open my big mouth about a deal, as if the greedy corporate "overlords" can somehow hear my praises and think that they can fleece me. Well, now I guess I'll be purchasing at my local store, or go back to ordering it from other online outlet for such items. Its still a "great" sauce, but it's not great enough to justify the current price of $3.26 per jar.

    Broken jars
    The Tomato sauce is good, however, the packaging is horrible. There are no air bubble barrier. The jars were broken and tomato sauce is everywhere on the front port.

    Broken Marinara Bottles
    Marinara arrived with glass containers broken and item leaking in box. When I requested new product they wanted the items shipped back to them. When I changed it to refund I still need to bring product in. I ordered it online because I did not want to go into the store.
