Nice compact kit
I bought this on line for my grandson who turned 16 and will be driving. This is the second kit I have bought for a grandson and am pleased with the contents. Just make sure you get the correct kit, as I picked mine up at the local store mail order department, and they gave me the wrong kit. I like the idea of the small air compressor and the kit they gave me did not have it. Called and received the correct replacement with no problem.

Melted Cables
The first time I tried to use the cables provided in this kit the plastic started melting and the wires began smoking. Yes the cables were connected correctly but apparently are not able to handle the charge. While the kit is a nice idea I would look for one that has cables that won't melt and leave you stranded.

We liked it so much, we purchased one for his vehicle. I now just purchased 2 more kits for our office to place within our emergency car kits for employees utilizing company vehicles/rental cars. My husband and I actually use the 12 v pump more than we thought we would for our bike tires when we ride them to the lab. The rain poncho in my car kit was donated to a family on the side of the road who had had an accident in the rain. We have used the tow rope to get my 4-wheel drive out of the sand. We have used the triangle on the back of my vehicle when the alternator blew. And we have used the jumper cables multiple times, near and far from home. Might be nice to have extra ponchos/emergency blankets. Other than that, the kit is very helpful.Mich
