Great toy for our nephew!!
I received this Nerf Zombie Strike Doominator Blaster dart gun to review and thought it would be great for our nephew. I was right!! He loves it!! It is so much fun for him to play with all the other kids when they have their Nerf guns out. This is like a super gun. This toy is labeled that it is for ages 8 and above and I agree that it would be a bit too much and unsafe for little kids. It is light weight and easy to use. It did require some assembly but not tools were required and it was simply to do. The handle has 3 different positions for the handle feature as well. It has 24 of the foam darts and 4 flipping drums to allow for more play before collecting all the darts to reload. This gun will be a lot of fun once the kids catch on to all the features. There is a trigger, a drum rotating trigger, and a pump-of-sorts that are all required to unload the foam darts. There are two options for shooting the darts. One is to pump and then pull the trigger and the second is to continue to hold the trigger while continuously pumping the gun to repeatedly fire the darts. It might take a little time for kids to get the hang of all the combinations for using this Nerf gun. There are two negatives that we've found with this Nerf Blaster. One is that small hands will not be able to easily use both triggers and second, sometimes the darts don't line up exactly where they should so it "misfires" when that happens. Overall, this is quite fun when the kids are outside having fun.

Good Fun but not Great fun
Overall, the product delivers some fun for the user...primarily kids 8 and above. It arrived well packed with no difficult wires to snip in order to removed the Doominator Blaster from the box. It is colorful, kids are immediately attracted to it. It has a feel of a quality product...good weight with good substance It looks "mean" and yet very safe The Nerf bullets have great projectile range The kids liked the overall experience The flaw with this toy comes in the rotation of the various chambers. As each chamber is emptied from shooting the Nerf bullets, the new chamber should slip into place and now you should be ready to continue having a blast of fun...but that does not easily happen. You have to almost coax the new chamber into place. This is a problem with the toy. You become disappointed when you have to physically move the new freshly loaded chambers into place. In my opinion this is a design flaw, unless I just happened to receive a slightly defective toy. But regardless, it diminishes your kids fun with the Zombie Strike Doominator Blaster. If you purchase the product, you will know immediately if you have a problem with the chamber mechanism. If so, return it to Walmart as they are great with their return policy.

    This Gun Holds Tons Of Darts [24 darts]. They Load & Are Held All Over. Not Too Heavy, But 2 Hands Are Needed To Hold This Gun. A Medium Powered Gun & Not Meant For High Accuracy/Range. Works Great In The Pool Area. So Happy That The Darts Float " ) A Great Edition To The Nerf Zombie Strike Gun Line " )

    You are the Zombie Doominator!
    This is an awesome toy! It is a well made, plastic toy. It is easy to assemble, needs no batteries, and works smoothly. It is large so a small child would not be able to hold it and operate it. The nerf bullets come flying out of the gun with great acceleration and distance! Not for the faint of heart! After all, you ARE shooting Zombies! It does not come with a target so you'll have to make your own. As a parent, I like the way it was secured in the box. Instead of the wire or plastic ties, it is packaged using paper-twist ties and cardboard pieces. The only assembly needed are to attach two barrels (which snapped easily in place), and a screw-in handle. Load it with the 24 nerf bullets which slide easily into place, and begin exterminating Zombies. Have fun.

    I got the Nerf Zombie Strike Doominator Blaster for my oldest grandson because that was an item on his list. When he came over and saw the Nerf Zombie Strike Doominator Blaster he was very excited. I particularly like the ease of him being able to load it himself. I also, like the fact that it is easy for him to handle it as well. I like the fact that the bullets/darts are soft and will not hurt anyone. The main focus is that we have taught him where to aim (not at another person). He can even play with the Nerf Zombie Strike Doominator Blaster indoors if necessary. I could not get a picture of him using it because he does not like to have his picture taken.

    Zombies beware!
    Thanks to the Nerf Zombie Strike Doominator Blaster, my 8 year old son has become an 'official' zombie hunter! This pretend weapon looks very similar to real military style ones, but fortunately, the bright, almost garish colors instantly reveal it to be a toy. My son especially loves the rapid fire mode. Each drum unloads its darts with quick pulls on the front handle. You can adjust the handle's location for righty/lefty as well. The barrels rotate with a simple flip trigger. 24 darts are included with the blaster. It would have been nice if extras had been included. You are given as many darts as needed for filling up the barrels. The darts are blunted at the end, they are NOT suction cup darts, therefore they do not stick to targets. This may/may not be a problem for the user. In our house, suction cups are preferred, as they mark clearly that you hit your target. We might see if Nerf sells suction cup ones that will fit in this blaster. The blaster does not have a scope, which would have been a nice touch for eye/hand coordination exercises and aiming. While the colors on the blaster are bright, it does not glow in the dark, as my son was bummed to discover. Overall, it is a fun dart blaster. Using your imagination to become a zombie hunter creates excellent opportunities for the kids to explore the great outdoors--and to expend lots of energy. Now that's a plan of action Mommy can get behind!

    Payback Time
    I decided to review the Doominator because I thought this would be a great way to pester my spouse and loads of fun for me to be able to keep shooting him. Little did I know that there is a serious community of Nerfers'; so I cannot comment or compare on how the gun would hold out in a Nerf War. • For me, what makes the Doominator so much fun is that it holds a large capacity of bullets. • The gun has 4 drums with 6 shots per drum for a total of 24 bullets. • Once you have run through the first load you can pull the Flip trigger to change barrels, so more action and less reloading. • Your front grip/handle can be adjusted to 3 different positions in order to find what works best for you. (The instructions tell you to put the handle in the downward position, but for me it's more comfortable on the left side, plus it doesn’t get in the way when you are priming your gun.) • You have the ability to do rapid or continuous fire by holding down the fire trigger and continuously priming. • No batteries required. (I'm not a fan of batteries unless they are rechargeable so this is a big plus for me.) A couple of things I would say would be a bit of a con: • This is a fairly large gun and anyone who decides to use it would need to have some upper strength if you plan on carrying it around for a long period of time. • The length, because it is so much longer unless you have longer arms it becomes a bit uncomfortable holding. Otherwise, the Doominator seems to work fine and is a ton of fun when you want to pester you spouse or older children.

    Ultimate Zombie Killer
    The Zombie Doominator is a pretty awesome item. It does, as many toys do at times, jam. Not so much as to prevent unjamming rather quickly though. If your child is small framed for his or her age it can be cumbersome due to the fact that the toy is rather large. The drums that rotate are at times, difficult to get to rotate freely without some extra pull. It is easy to load the drums with the nerf ammo. The range is pretty awesome in my opinion for a toy of this nature. I strongly suggest that all involved opponents and players to wear eye protection even though the ammo is soft. One can never be overly cautious. The pull/fire handle seems to work best mounted on the side, depending on if you are right or left handed due to the fact that mounted underneath, there isn't quite enough room for the hand between the handle and drum. Over all though, this is as stated, is a pretty awesome toy. For the Zombie enthusiast or a casual player, I like this toy and do recommend it for anyone looking to make a good purchase for this type of toy, as well as one that will make a great gift. I really hope this review has helped any and all that are looking and considering the purchase.

    Ultimate Battle gun!
    This Nerf Doominator is pretty spectacular. This gun is easy to load, and fast to shoot. It comes in the box with twenty four darts. Its easy to remove from the box. Assembly is pretty quick and easy, mostly snapping the black dart holders in place. To reload you just rotate the chambers and stick the darts in, no taking the gun apart, which is good. you pull it back to load (the front of the gun piece), and you get six shots in each round. you rotate the black cartridges with the double looped orange trigger. So shooting is very easy and fast. The bottom part is flat so you can rest it on a surface to get a steady shot! Of course you don't want to shoot at the face, I have been shot with the darts and yes there is a sting. My husband loves this gun, and my two kids do too. it would be an epic battle to have two people with two of these guns! Of course if you don't have two, one is good to practice with, it has pretty good distance with firing, just know with all Nerf products trying to get the darts once you shoot is a hunt within itself. Its not a heavy gun either so little kids can definitely hold this no problem. Mine are six and five and loves this and all the Nerf products. They can aim and shoot the gun with no problems, my younger one needs help with the trigger now and then, but mostly knows how to operate it. I would definitely recommend this gun its fast and fun for everyone

    This is really fun.
    The Nerf Zombie Strike Doominator Blaster is great fun for the kids. I only had to attach three things before using. And those three things went on very easily. The blaster holds 24 darts, so lots of playtime before running out. It doesn't require any batteries, which is great. You just grab the handle in the front, pull back, return to normal position and pull the trigger. There are two triggers, one to shoot and one to rotate the devices that hold the darts. My 10 year old daughter did have a little trouble pulling back the front to load the darts. But with a little practice she was able to get the hang of it. It shoots pretty far and depending on how close you are hits fairly hard. It seems to be made well and we haven't had any darts jam the device, but I suggest making sure the darts are loaded correctly to avoid jamming. I would recommend this to anyone for a fun birthday or Christmas present. I think some adults would enjoy this Nerf Blaster also. I know I'm having fun with it.
