Solid value | Great brand
PC recognized the device instantly. Quiet operation. This is the third drive I purchased to replace a defective drive. The first two had several problems such as not recognizing discs when inserted and formatting problems.

Would be great if I had two USB ports.
Needs a laptop with 2 USB ports. That was not mentioned in description. My laptop only has one and the instructions that came with it said it shouldn't be used with a port extender which would accommodate the dual USB cord.

    No Extension Cable
    The only reason I didn't give this external ZenDrive a 5 star rating is because of the short second USB power connector cable. Why doesn't Asus just include an extension cable for best customer experience?

    Still need a CD/DVD drive? This is the one.
    Bought this external CD/DVD to be able to install physical medium software and deal with music and pictures in that format when building a new gaming level PC and internal drives are not available. Added bonus to be able to use with my laptop. Very reasonable price, easy to install and has operated flawlessly for the past year
