Acer
Product was out locally, but ordered again on-line. Shipped and delivered on time and as promised. This is my 2nd Acer and it does all I want including streaming, work, and just browsing. Great little laptop (15.6) Would recommend to anyone.

Not so good
The laptop itself was great, I really enjoyed using it. Unfortunately it kept disconnecting from the internet. Sometimes it would stay on for half and hour but most of the time it disconnected after a minute or two and did the same thing as soon as I reconnected. It did a troubleshoot and "fixed" the problem. But it just kept on disconnecting. It was not a problem with my wireless system as other PC's worked fine in the same location. After disconnecting several times, the overall performance would slow way down. Not being able to use the internet was unacceptable. I returned the laptop to my local Walmart for a full refund. Will replace with another Acer perhaps. Previous Acer has been trouble free for over two years.

    this Laptop operates...
I purchased the Acer laptop to have an extra 'machine' available for use. The overall handling is effortless and stress free. The screen size make for non-squinting viewing. I'm am very pleased with this purchase and recommend this product as a quality purchase.

    GREAT LAPTOP AND GREAT PRICE
Great laptop at a great price. Was delivered a day earlier than expected. Only complaint would be that I would have liked a physical booklet type manual since there is so much on this computer.

ask me on the next one
Unfortunately the laptop I received had a defective fan and the unit overheated and burned out. But Walmart refunded my money and I re-ordered a new one. It is unavoidable that sometimes a company will have a defective unit. But that doesn't mean that the product is bad, and I am willing to give it another try. I'm sure the next one will be fine. It is a good deal if the laptop works right. This pc has a large harddrive which a lot of laptops don't, and the ones that do are a lot more expensive.

    Won't always power up
I purchased the laptop 4 months ago. In the last several weeks when I go to turn the computer on, the computer freezes up during start up and has to be shut down by holding the power button down for several long seconds. It will then take 2 to 3 attempts of turning it on and back off before it does not freeze up.

    Pretty good deal
I got this laptop about a week ago. So far it has done everything I wanted it to do. One thing I would improve is that it doesn't have a latch to close it. It's not really that big of a deal, but worth mentioning. It does what it's supposed to with no issues. The wireless mouse that comes with it has a long range, you can use it from across the room, if you want. The sleeve isn't a carrying bag like I thought it was going to be, more of something to protect it while it's in a bag, but I didn't buy the bundle because of the sleeve, so no biggie. Overall a good purchase. =)

    Acer Midnight Black Aspire E-15 15.6" E5-521-24PQ
Having a relatively low budget, I did not want to go out and spend 350+ on a laptop that I would mostly use for school and very casual gaming. Having seen this on sale and doing some research, I knew that this was the right one. For $279, this is truly an amazing deal. Now, some may be discouraged about buying this laptop because of its relatively low CPU clock speeds (1.50 GHZ), but, I can tell you that it performs extremely well. I was also a little afraid of buying this because, well, AMD. I've had Intel with me since my very first computer and have heard some negative things about AMD, but this laptop has changed my mind about them. With AMD in mind, you'll have Radeon R2 graphics (Note: Around 700-800 (don't quote me exactly) megabytes of memory are dedicated to this, which is why I said casual gaming). The Radeon graphics aren't that bad actually. Watching YouTube at 1080p 60fps is rather smooth (at times it CAN stutter) and casual gaming is also smooth. The memory that's included with this laptop is 4GB, although that may seem like a lot, I personally suggest that you upgrade it (you can have a total of 16GB of RAM in this laptop). The 1TB HDD that is included has a whole 915GB of storage in total (Note: The box does say 1TB (1000 Gigabytes) but, after they format the drive, you're left with 915GB. Also note, the OS takes up some space along with the extra useless programs that they add) and performs rather well. The screen turned out to be better than I originally thought. The viewing angles are ok and the quality is crisp and clear. The webcam is decent I suppose, but has a lot of "Fuzz." The speakers also actually surprised me with their quality, they're pretty good compared to other laptops. The trackpad and keyboard are simply amazing for this price range. The trackpad is very responsive to touch and the keyboard has a nice feeling to it. For the mouse that comes included with this, I actually prefer it over my Logitech mouse. It is a little small but that could also be that my hands are gigantic. It IS a wireless mouse, the small USB attachment is included beside the battery. The sleeve I have to say is rather poor. It has a softish feeling to it but if you plan on traveling anywhere with your laptop, I would highly suggest that you buy a proper laptop case. In conclusion, if you're needing a laptop for school/basic work, this is the perfect one for you. I believe that I've covered all of the main subjects, and if I've missed anything then I apologize. Have a good day.

    worth the cost
I've owned this computer for four months already and I have to say its impressive. After I just upgraded to windows 10, I liked it even better. For a cheap computer, you sure get alot for what you paid for.
