Yoga Mat Towel
I received this Athletic Works Yoga Mat Towel from the Spark Review Program. I requested this item because I love Yoga and although I do not go to studios right now I have in the past and hope to again when the pandemic ends. I like that this towel would make me feel safer if I had to use a communal mat instead of my own. I also liked the way this towel feels on my sensitive skin and I had no issues with itching. It did absorb some sweat so that does work for me. I only used it for yoga practice so I don't know how it works for other floor exercise. I also liked that it was easy to wash but unhappy that it can't be put in the dryer. It is a hassle to find a place to hang something this long. I was delighted it was long enough to cover the my mat's length. However, I was disappointed that it did not cover the width of my mat as you can see in the included photo. (I have tried multiple times and this app won't accept my iPhone photo!) Despite some nice features mentioned above I would not recommend or buy this yoga mat towel for the following reason. It says it is non-slip but it did slip when I went through my series of Warrior poses. Then I tried Downward Dog and my feet slipped on it a lot. If I had not been careful I could have down a face plant. As I said my yoga mat is non slip so I thought this towel would just make it better but it slips around on my mat. Maybe it is me but this is definitely not safe for me, a senior.

    I would give the yoga mat towel from athletics a 3 out of 5. The towel is very durable and absorbs the moisture sweat and keeps my mat sanitary. All of this is very good but there is one problem. I find myself halfway through my Yoga practice slipping. The towel does move around over the mat and I find myself having to adjust the towel. I think this towel is great for a backup or if you're inviting someone to your yoga practice or Pilates they can use that towel. Or if you're outside working out and you don't want to ruin the mat you use at your studio. I would only then recommend using this towel, not at my normat studio workout.

    This is great for yoga mats and also if you want to throw on a gaming chair for a kid. Basically it makes it so there is layer between the person and the product that is very easy to wash. I used to use the gym yoga mats and they always had weird smells and whatnot from people sweating on them all day. Now I can just throw this on top of one (after covid) and then wash it at the end of the week. In the meantime, I have also used it as a protective sheet over my gaming chair. Same deal, let it absorb my funk so the chair doesn't have to and then I can wash it easily.

    Material is soft and lightweight. The towel itself is large enough to cover the whole mat and stays put. Quality of the stitching is very good. I have washed it multiple times and holds up well. Best of all, it keeps my yoga mat dry and fresh!

    Non-slip towel that keeps your yoga mat clean
    I recently started yoga to develop strength, balance, and flexibility while not putting any pressure on my joints. This Dark Gray 72inX24in Athletic Works Yoga Mat Towel is a good size. I didn't realize I needed it until I used it. My hands and feet always sweat. This yoga mat towel keeps my hands and feet from slipping around on my mat; and I haven't even tried it for hot yoga yet. The yoga mat towel is truly non-slip. The anti-slip material stays put during practice to prevent injuries. The yoga mat towel keeps my yoga mat sanitary. Over time, excessive sweat build-up can turn your yoga mat into a funky, bacteria-laden nightmare. Athletic Works Yoga Mat Towels add a hygienic layer between you and your mat. It just feels so nice and the fact that I can wash it makes me feel like I'm not going to be constantly battling a dirty or smelly mat. This Athletic Works Yoga Mat Towel is made of lightweight Microfiber. They are made to absorb water. After each use, wash on cold and pop them in the dryer.

    This mat/towel is very soft and looks durable. However, I don't see how it can be used as a mat as there isn't a layer of fabric that would hold it down. It is the same soft material on front and back. I think I would "scoot" all over the place when I changed positions. I gave it 3 stars because it would make for a nice towel but not for a yoga mat.

    This towel works well. Made of quality material and the stitching on the edges is also of high quality. The towel absorbs sweat and gives you a grippier surface to work on. The dark grey color is ideal. Fading and stains dont show as much. The fabric is a soft almost velvety texture. To improve design i think it would be better to have straps or covers at the ends to secure it to the mats better. Overall its a good product with good quality. It is light and compact too so doesnt take up much space or add a lot of weight to your gym bag or carrying bag.

    Simple Solution
    Athletic works yoga mat towel is a simple solution to absorb moisture during mat workouts. The generous size 72" long by 24" wide provides ample room to place on top of your mat. The fabric is a soft microfiber blend that feels comfortable against your skin. The only problem I have with it is the recommendation for washing instructions; which recommends after washing in cool water to DRY FLAT. Space maybe a problem for some people so I used my wooden drying rack to drape the mat and it seems to be just fine.

    Super soft and absorbant
    Exactly what I expected or should say was hoping for. This is such an amazingly compact towel for being 72"!!! I can't stand laying on the mats in my gym especially with the whole germ scare thing right now. This towel is long enough to cover my whole mat and stays in place much better than any other towel I have used before. It also dries so quickly. I left it over the seat of my car when I was out shopping and it was almost completely dry when I got out. I think I will buy more of these to take to pool and beach. I am guessing that sand will shake right off of them. Check out my picture of the edging. Really well done, I have bought other towels in microfiber and the edging was poor and unraveled quickly. Very satisfied.
