This mattress pad has changed my life!
this mattress pad is heaven. I like to sleep in a relatively cold room but I get leg cramps at night. This heated mattress pad have prevented this from happening. I have recommended it to several people. Another thing, at 63 I wake up pretty achey but this has also helped in preventing that as well. The cottony cover also adds a bit of cushioning to my new mattress. I highly recommend this cover - as a side note we have a 16 inch mattress and it fits perfectly. My husband also loves the fact that we can have it on different settings. Originally he didn't want to use it but now he is a convert!

Item did not work
The company obviously has problems with this model. The lights on the controller would stay on for approximately a minute and then switch off. I did the recommended trouble shooting suggested in the owners pamphlet and then called customer service as was also recommended. When there is an option to select "if your controller does not work" you know it's a common problem. Return was easy. I did however select a different brand. I wish we could find items made in the USA easier!!!!

    the price was a little more than my anticipated budget, but considering our shopping limitations now, I was fortunate to get my product in a timely manner. The king sized Mattress pad gets cozy warm, and stays that way for hours. On a scale of 1 to 5 I am happy with my electric mattress pad. Thank you.

    Both worked the first night, then NO more!
    It worked great the first night. The 2nd night it no longer works. I purchased a King and Queen size heated mattress pad for my bed and my son's bed. Neither worked after the first night. My order for both says I can return both of them by Dec 3rd. But, when I tried to return them it says neither can be returned due to "other Walmart policies." This is a horrible policy! Walmart you are better than this! They're expensive and I only got one night of warmth? This makes me sick! I have severe rheumatoid arthritis and was so hopeful that this might help with a little relief since no medication has helped. I can't purchase a different brand because of low income.

    Disappointed I should have read previous reviews.
    I purchased the Twin XL which has a single control. The warming function seems to work as advertised but position of the connector is terrible. I am six feet tall and my feet have no problem finding the sharp edges of the connector which is located right in the center on top. I would not buy again unless this connector is relocated.

    Irritating Electrical Connections
    This heating pad does everything you'd want. It heats well. It has simple controls. I like that the controls are entirely separate for each side of the Cal-King version; no more stringing electrical cords from the plug to the 1st control to the 2nd control to the blanket connection. BUT HERE'S A FATAL FLAW. I'm 6'4" and my feet stretch all the way to the bottom of the mattress. With a separate electrical connection for each half of the pad, the sharp-edged bulky connector is right where my feet go. And there's little padding around the connection. I wake up with my toes sore from rubbing on the connector all night. With a single connector in the middle of the bed, this would rarely ever be a problem, but with two connectors placed in the middle of each person's sleeping area, it will always be a problem for tall people. This would seem to be solvable with a redesign of the connector shape to smooth out the sharp angles and edges. It seems like a thoughtless port over from an earlier design when a single central connector was the style. Or maybe this was designed by short people.

    Keeps ya warm!
    I bought this for my 90 yr old mother who has always used electric blankets. Her blanket stopped working so I replaced it with this mattress pad. She likes it better than her blankets! She turns on the preheat while getting ready for bed and the bed is toasty warm when she gets into it, sets it on 3 and keeps her warm all night. She says that she does not feel the wiring in it and the warmth takes away the pain in her legs from arthritis. That is wonderful, now she gets a good nights rest. And the heat controller is simple to use.

    A genius designed this electric mattress pad!
    I am SURE it was a genius who designed this mattress pad. I opened the package, looked at the two controls, turned them over to see which one was for the right/left sides of the bed, they were NOT marked! OMIGOD... now what? To my delight, the cords, yes two cords, plug into TWO places at the TOP of the mattress pad! What would have taken a lot of time, and energy, to snake those wires all the way down to the bottom, took only a couple of minutes ! GENIUS!!

    Works well, but.....
    The mattress pad works very well. It warms quickly if you use the preheat function. My two minor complaints are the cord between the pad plug at the foot and the controller is too short (I had to run it between the mattress and the box spring and they say to not do that) and I wish there were more settings. Five doesn't give me enough temperature control. Other than that, it's great! Yes, I would buy another one.

    Keeps us warm
    Sides deep enough to easily put on our large pillow top mattress. We've only had it a short time and seems to warm a bit slowly so may have to remember to turn on ahead of time. Nice to have dual controls. Heat more evenly dispersed as compared to the one we replaced.
