Best oil in my Volvo 5cyl
This is the best stuff for late model volvo 5 cyl turbos in northern climates. I have 05 s60R. This provides the best gas mileage and performance with minimal burn off of many oils I've tried over the years. 5w30 is too weak for this motor these days.
Just dont run mobil 1 in these motors, they dont like it.. some oils can burn really fast.. One lady had xc70 t5, she ran M1 5w30 annual oil crap.. came in at 10k mi with 1 quart of oil left in the engine from a 7 quart capacity! All mobile oils burn up fast in the volvo Turbo, but the 0w40 M1 can hold up well if you like M1.

Solid , hgih perfomance oil
Solid oil with both the cold-flow to protect under cold conditions and at start-up, and the high temperature and rpm protection to protect under moderately high loads. Holds up well for me after use with lab analysis. HTHS > 3.5.
I do wish to local store would carry a a wider range of high performance oils. We cant all use 5w30 and 0w20.....

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser08/17/2021Full Temperature ProtectionThis oil gives me full temperature protection. From cold starts to hot afternoons, especially in tight traffic. I like the fact that it is a full synthetic oil. My vehicle has a lot of miles, so the 40w helps with better lubrication.Fernando

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser06/27/2021Great oil for BMWsAlthough this oil is not BMW certified anymore. It's perfectly suited for BMW. Castrol simply did not pay the fees/ransom required for BMW certification. Also I once ordered this stuff through Amazon and it came smashed and leaking. The Walmart guys did a much better job with packing and shipping.gerard

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser11/16/2020Sweet oil for big boostThis oil is the best value out there for such a high quality. I run this in a number of my highly modified Saabs based on the oil's weight and characteristics. Over 70k miles using this stuff and push these cars hard and I know this oil is keeping at least one of my Saab engines alive, well past its life expectancy. I change it every 4-5k, so it's very liberal. But oil is cheap, engines aren't. I'm sold on this stuff. Highly recommend!Ryan

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser10/31/2020Excellent Choice For German MarquesAn excellent choice for various German brands that specify this weight oil (Porsche, VW, Audi). In fact, the oil carries several manufacturer specific ratings, meaning that they have tested this particular oil and recommend it for their vehicles.Richard

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser08/17/2019Best oil you can buy. Period.I own an AMG Mercedes and the dealer wanted to put Mobile 1 in my car, no way. There is no better engine lubricant for your can than Edge. I have 35K miles on my car now, and it is not using a drop, even with a twin turbo motor. I drive my car pretty hard, and still it's always on the top mark when I check the level. My friends that made the mistake of using Mobile 1 are using at least 1 quart every 5K miles, most are burning more than that. I also use Edge motorcycle oil in all of my motorcycles, and I own 5 bikes. I change my oil every 5K miles. It's not necessary to do it that often, but WalMart sells it so cheap it's the best insurance you can buy to prevent engine wear. Valvoline is also good oil, but Castrol Edge is better.IronManRon
