Great chair mats
I bought two of these. One for my husband and one for myself. We've been using them for a few months and they seem to be holding up well. No cracks! I recommend them.

Beware - It Cracks and Breaks into Sharp Pieces!!
I purchased the 48 x 79 inch Chair Mat in July 2019. It started cracking within 1 year. It eventually broke into sharp pieces and then debris gathered underneath the holes/cracks/missing pieces onto the carpet...defeating one of the purposes of the chair mat. I attached a picture of one of the cracked areas. Another reviewer had the same problem within a year. Beware...its not a long-term chair mat.

Unfortunately the wheels were leaving marks/indentations on the carpet. I purchased this mat in hopes that it would remedy the problem. We have had it 2 months with no issues so far. It was shipped in a large flat box so it was ready to be used upon arrival. It has held up under daily use with 200 pound of weight and hours of constant movement. The chair moves easily when needed and the mat stays in place with no issues. It is a nice stiff material so no issues with it rolling up and injuring a toe like some older carpet protectors lol Recommended.Tami

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser12/21/2022Good mats for our medium pile carpetWe bought two of these for the same room. They do well on our medium pile carpets. They're a stiff, fairly thick material, not rubbery but more like thick, textured plastic. They may not be quite as good for high pile carpet (I haven't test that), but for low to medium pile they work well. They haven't dimpled under the office chair wheels for either a 150lb or a 190lb person. They sink a tiny bit when the wheels go over them, but not enough to affect the rolling noticeably. The spikes on the bottom are grippy enough to hold the carpet firmly without slipping, but not so grippy that it's overly difficult to reposition them. The mats came it what was literally just a big piece of cardboard folded in half and stapled together, which was great. That way, we didn't have to unroll and try to flatten them. I don't think that they would roll much, anyways, the material is too stiff and brittle (not weak just breakable with enough pressure, I think).Jennifer

Gave me concern but I figured more said okey dokey than the couple that did not. Bought it, came quickly, 2 months in and heavy traffic at the desk. Not a dent, scratch, crack. It is a little pricey but the Polycarbonate is strong and durable and IMO is the best material for an office chair mat. I have tried softer materials in the past but they do not come close to giving the support this product gives. Be warned! It comes rolled up. Do not try and unroll it by yourself. Two people are a must because when you cut the wrapping holding it together it releases with a strong whip. When flat its a breeze to move into place.Keith

But as I expected, it does sink into my low pile carpet making rollingthe chair difficult.
