    Unpalatable
    The Dinty Moore beef stew was horrendous. I couldn't eat the meat or vegetables. The meat was hard to describe, but it's texture was hyper tender and a little sticky, like lumpy clay and the flavor was like water that was used to clean out some pan that meat was cooked in. To top it off the vegetables had a bad chemical taste so I threw it all out. Someone else said they were like dog food, but I don't think dog food would be so bad. I compared it with the Hormel Compleats beef pot roast where the gravy and vegetables were good and I actually ate them. but the meat was similar to the beef stew and ruined it all! I hope I'm not tempted to try either again any time.

    Beef Stew: Delicious! Recommend.
    I like this, but I grew up on it. Fills you up really good, esp for the price. All ingredients are tender and gravy is good, but salty. Adding oyster crackers or saltines to this dish adds nice flavor.

    Get the canned variety.
    Grand flop. Tastes good, but needs to be heated twice as long as directed, and the "film" closure is a disaster - tough, can't get it all off, and leaves the dish looking ragged, thus forcing transfer to another container for serving. Another example of a decent product ruined by goofy packaging.

    better and cheaper in the can!
    this Dinty Moore beef stew is different than the canned version. 20 oz can @$2.28 is twice as much food than the $2.18 - 10oz plastic microwave package-- with LESS fat-- less carbs--a LOT less sodium- and a much better flavor. the convenience factor does not make it better obviously-- just much more expensive and less healthy from a nutrition standpoint. i tried several varieties and will not buy them again due to salty taste and high fat content with lower flavor.-- i like Dinty Moore canned goods -- but not this hyped microwave version. the pop top can version can be microwaved to heat-- just add a bowl and get a biggfer/better meal.

    My wife drives a semi-truck for a living, and she loves these! She previously bought the Dinty Moore canned stew, but no longer does as she prefers these instead; I do also. They are convenient, fast, and have the great taste of Dinty Moore stew. We keep them in stock in the home pantry, and on her truck.

    I highly recommend this Dinty Moore Beef Stew 10 oz. bowl to keep in your food pantry. It microwaves in 90 seconds. I eat it with several buttered bread slices for a quick meal. The taste has improved since the last time I bought Dinty Moore beef stew. I am very pleased with this product now. Shelf stable for a year unopened. On a cold winter's day or night, this meal can be especially delicious. It is just enough for one person.

    it's greaat
    I bought this stew for travelling since I can put it in a suitcase and take it anywhere. When travelling in a car I simply put the container on the dashboard and the sun heats up the product so it is warm when I eat it. I have dietary restrictions and find it difficult to go to fast food places when travelling. All their products in this line are good, but I like the Beef Stew best of all.
