We are very happy with the purchase and delivery of the Duraflame logs. We especially like the fact that these logs are much larger than the previous logs that we have purchased.

Reviews are way off
6 lb log lasted for exactly 3 hrs. The last hour was very weak. Like huddling around a candle. So really a 2 hr log. Very weak heat as well.

    Duraflame logs are the best!
    I burn these logs during cold mornings and nights, and they really burn clean and quiet; when I light them with gas, the fire doesn't crackle much. They do their job and end it with little ash. Sure, they need relighting from time to time like every other log, but Duraflame is a great log brand for sitting by the fire and doing whatever. As long as you are close enough to the fire, they'll give you an enjoyable experience and good heat.

    easy but not as good a wood fire
    The firelogs are easy to use and nice for the ambience they may add but they are not the same if one expecting they could equal what one expects from a wood fire. The product worked fine, lit easily and burned for over 3 hours with the flame being very low by the last hour. The instructions say to only use one log at a time but I have seen others who say they add real seasoned wood logs to burn with them even though that is not recommended by manufacturer. I like the concept of these logs as they are very easy to use and will provide the feeling of a fire in a way and one really does not have to attend to it as they would using firewood. It does produce a real fireplace like fire but does at times seem like one of those fake plastic fireplaces one plugs into the wall and just glows and is obviously not a real fireplace.

    Stuck with 4 Boxes of logs
    I buy logs in bulk before the season, and I have now gotten stuck a BUNCH of TERRIBLE performance logs. The burn, -but just barely....and for about 2-3 hours. I don't know what has happened to Duraflame, but they just BARELY BURN!! What a COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY. Save your money and buy a different brand!

    Nothing but smoke
    I have loved her flame for years and used it every year this year with the four hour long the 6 pound yellow one has given me tons of disgusting smoke every time I just want my money back and want to talk to somebody

    Small flame
    The instructions say to avoid adding real wood to the fireplace on top of the duraflame log because it might get too hot. First time using this we burned only the duraflame log. The flame was so tiny you could barely feel the heat when you sat directly in front of the fireplace. So the second time we used this we added real wood on top to make a real fire that actually puts out warmth. Not sure how safe that was but it worked. I would describe this as more of a glorified fire starter than an actual firelog.

    Great for family or date night
    These logs light so easy and provide soothing flickering light and warmth for movie night with the family or date night movie time. I use these very often (easily 24 logs or more for the last 10-11 years) mostly in the fall to winter. I have tried most if not all the other brands and Duraflame beats them hands down. You won't be sorry using Duraflame. This is not a paid review. Just trying to give my honest opinion to help others.

    I am very satisfied with these logs, especially since I learned to break it open after it's been burning a while to get the best of the flames. I tried another cheaper log one year and was not satisfied. I rather pay more and get a real fireplace fire.

    Duraflame logs
    These are a great way to get a fire started with little or no hassle at all. I attended a wedding this past weekend and was in charge of the fire. I went early stacked the wood and placed two Duraflame logs on with the mix and all I had to do was light in and in minutes the fire was great.
