Amazing vacuum!
The Dyson Digital Slim Cordless Vacuum is an amazing vacuum. I am in love with this product. It's so useful; I can use it for every part of the house. I've been able to vacuum in places I could never reach with a regular vacuum. Places like my roof, roof fans, under my bed, under the sofa are now clean thanks to this amazing product. I also love the fact that it's really light weight and that the battery lasts for a really long time. I vacuumed all of the living room, the kitchen and my room and the vacuum still has power. Another feature I loved was the fact that it's cordless, which makes it easy for me to move from room to room. It is also bag less which is a huge plus and money saver. Now I don't have to buy or changer filters. The only thing I didn't love was the fact that I constantly have to press a button for the vacuum to turn on. If you want to vacuum something for a while your finger will get tired. Apart from that I love this product. I would specially recommend it for people who want a dynamic, modern and amazing vacuum.

I received this item at no charge through a review company. The information expressed here is my opinion based on my own personal experiences with this product and are not influenced in any way by the manufacturer or review company. This vacuum is very easy to assemble and switch modes and comes with a wall mount holder. It is cordless and has a sleek design, it is lightweight and easy to use. Because of the slim design it does fit easily under furniture and beds for vacuuming. The main issue I have with this item is that the battery only last between 20 to 30 minutes on a full charge and it takes three and half hours to charge it. I also don't like that you have to hold the trigger down the entire time you are using it. I also noticed that it tends to get a little hot while in use, and the instructions state that you should allow it to cool down before charging. It works well for cleaning up small areas or under furniture or to clean blinds or window seals and the car as well, however keep in mind that you only have about 25 minutes before the battery goes dead so if you have large area to cover this can be a real issue. I have an upright dyson animal and I love it, its a thousand times better than this one in my opinion. I would not recommend this unless you are looking for an additional vacuum to go with what you already have and even then most vacuums have various accessories to make it possible to do all the same things that this does but it would not be cordless. This did not work any better than my shop vac on vacuuming the car, so unless you just want to waste quite a bit of money I wouldn't bother with this. I noticed that this item is advertised showing someone using it to clean there floors, its really not ideal for that unless you have a very small place and suction is nowhere near as powerfull as the upright dysons. In my opinion its better to spend a little more and buy a regular vacuum.

    Worth the hype!
    I’ve had several other brands of vacuums, but this is my first Dyson. I’ve long wondered what the hype is, and I understand now. It was very easy to put together as it only had 3 major pieces to snap together and it was ready to go in less than a minute. It is lightweight and perfect for someone who has back and shoulder problems to move around. It is top heavy, so do not expect it to stand against a wall for very long without support. It does come with a screw in wall holder for storage which is perfect. I love the fact I don’t have to fumble with cords or worry about where I am going to plug it in when doing stairs. It is a bit small, great for small corners and moves with ease. I love the fact there is a button on the handle for power, you just press down on the button to turn on and release to turn off. It is also very easy to empty, though it seems you’d have to empty it several times if you planned to do the entire house. It charges in a decent amount of time. I have used this on hardwood, vinyl flooring and carpet as well as curtains and it picks up perfectly. It works great on my heavily traveled carpeted stairs that seem to turn dirty within minutes! I don’t dread vacuum day! I will make one note, this could be slightly aggravating to anyone with wrist problems if you plan to use it for long periods of time, as it is top heavy. I do recommend this to anyone considering it. It is worth the money!

    Great Suction but Disappointing Battery Life
    The Dyson V6 gives you great suction without the hassle of a cord which makes it great for quick cleanups in areas that are not without a convenient to an outlet like stairs and porches. It is well balanced so you can use it for higher areas like cobwebs in upper corners and getting the dust from the top edge of curtains and drapes. Also good for a quick dusting of your ceiling fan blades. The vacuum can be used with the long rod making it easy to use on floors without bending and for ceiling heights without having to climb on a step ladder. You can also easily switch to the hand held mode by simply removing the rod and attaching the cleaning head directly to the motorized handle. This is great for cleaning on stairs and for vacuuming out the car. There is a convenient charging station that mounts on the wall near an outlet. You just click the entire vacuum into the station to begin charging and the station also has places to hold all the attachment which are included, keeping everything close at hand. Now for the downside, and it is significant. While the regular suction setting is OK for quick DustBuster type situation, the "Max" power setting is required for a lot of things. On Max the suction is great but it depletes the battery at a significant rate. On the low power setting the battery only lasts 20 minutes. On Max, it's only good for about 6 minutes! This could NEVER be a primary vacuum cleaner. It's for QUICK cleanups, and I do mean quick. Also the recharging takes three and a half hours to fully charge the battery. So that's basically the situation. The suction is definitely there on the max settings but I find 3 1/2 hours to get a charge that depletes in 6 minutes is not terribly usefull, and at a price tag of nearly $300. While Dyson has solved the suction issue in cordless vacuums, they need to work a lot harder in their battery.

    Quiet, cordless, almost makes vacuuming FUN!
    For hardwoods, tile and linoleum this vacuum cannot be beat. We have dogs and cats and brooming the floor was no fun and our standard carpet vacuum would blow more around than it would pick up. Now I pull the Dyson off the wall charger whip it around the house dump the canister and hang it up! The house is cleaner as I sweep far more often since it’s so much easier now! Okay, I wanted to tell you right up front how happy I am with this, now some details. The machine came in a nice small box and was packaged very well. I was glad there was no tape to cut or twist ties to undo. Everything is plastic bagged so you just snap the motor to the neck and the neck to the brush head. The wall mount which is also the charger mounted easily to our garage wall with two 2 ½ “ wood screws. I’ll just say make sure and hit studs as I don’t think just drywall mounting will take the leverage you’ll place on it when you remove the vacuum. The wall mount is great though as you just push up on the vacuum and swing it out of the cradle. A convenient light tells you when the vacuum is charging or fully charged. When you receive the vacuum it calls for a three hour initial charge though mine took about two hours. On my first use I squeezed the trigger expecting a terrible whine like a hair dryer. Wow was I surprised as somehow even at 110,000 rpm it generates a pleasant whirr that didn’t even scare our pets; they run from the standard vacuum! Notable is how this picks up spilled cat litter from around her box. Whereas the standard vacuum would throw litter around with its beater bar, the Dyson takes it right up. Don’t know how as it still has a beater bar though it works like a charm and is worth the money just for this! The canister opens with a simple slide catch and the beater bar is very easily removed to detangle long hair or threads that get wrapped around it. The build is exceptional and you certainly get what you pay for. It looks great hanging on the wall, I’m actually kind of proud of it. With a 2 year warranty you really can’t go wrong with this Dyson Digital Slim Cordless!

    Not as expected
    I wanted to love this cute, technologically advanced vacuum, but I didn't. For starters, the weight distribution is way off. It's top heavy, while the bottom part is very light and hard control on bare floors. This is what I was hoping to use this for, rather than traditional sweeping. Lazy much? As for how it handled on the carpet, it actually did a great job considering how small it is. I own one of those REALLY expensive vacuums you buy from the door salesman, and I can say that it does perform just as well at picking up dirt. I do want to caution you though, if you have shag carpet it will shave it a bit. It's cordless. Love this feature. It comes with a wall mount for the vacuum and its attachments. I highly suggest you mount this thing. As stated previously, it is top heavy and will not stand up on its own. The mount holds all of the pieces in different slots(I've attached a photo). Assembly and reassembly are quite easy. That's a plus. It also has a button on the main power source(top of the vacuum) that allows you to boost power to it(MAX). It is quite loud when in this mode, and blows the air directly at you. A design flaw, in my opinion. Lastly, you can detach the power source from the cleaning wand and add the extra brush attachment that comes with it to clean corners, couch cushions, blinds, etc. I tested it in this mode while cleaning my vehicle. It was quite awkward and wore my arm out. It's heavy, and using it to clean my vehicle was tedious. It was doesn't fit well in the hand to do that type of job even though it is claimed that you can use it to clean your vehicle. It does come with a two year warranty(another plus). The bottom line is, I personally would not recommend this product. However, if you want to use a $300 vacuum for vacuuming only, then this is the product for you.

    Handy little vacuum for quick clean ups
    The Dyson V6 is a great vacuum cleaner. It is light weight and easy to maneuver. Yes, the battery life is limited, but then it's a cordless vacuum cleaner. It is not a replacement for a corded full size vacuum cleaner. It's meant to clean up messes in parts of the house. The trigger on-switch is actually a good thing. It makes you turn the vacuum on only when you need it, thus increase battery life. The suction is adequate even in normal mode around a 20 minute battery life. The max setting has about a 6 minute battery life, but it makes it really powerful. A downside is that the battery does seem to take at least an hour to charge. The motorized head is improved, but still requires maintenance. After every couple weeks or months, depending on how often you use it, the head needs to be taken apart and cleaned, or it stops spinning. String gets tangled and the small opening between the head and curved neck of the unit . The collection cup also requires a good bit of time and effort to maintain. The removable filter also must be cleaned regularly, but that is common with most newer vacuums. It is important to let the filter dry completely. Overall it is a very handy little vacuum for quick clean ups and well worth the price.

    Very sleek but doesn't last long on a charge
    I got the dyson slim to try and I was so excited. It was packaged very nicely and putting it together was super easy. First thing I noticed was how light weight it was. My 4 year old could easily push it around. It came with the mounting bracket for the wall, the charger, the vacuum itself, the tube attachment, the floor attachment and a wall/crevice attachment. All these parts together do not take up very much space at all. I love that you can use just the canister part with the tube, or the crevice attachment, or the floor attachment by itself and don't need to use the tube if you didn't want to. It charges fully within 3 hours per the paperwork which is nice. It's got a very sleek design which is also great. What I didn't like. It does not go very long before needing to be charged a lot. If you have heavy duty vacuuming to do, I would NOT recommend this vacuum. If you have a lot of tile/wood floors this is wonderful. It's got a max power button for more suction which is good for high traffic areas that you can use or choose not to. Also, this vacuum gets hot quickly. And because the power pack is right by your handle you can feel it heat up and it can get uncomfortable. Also it blows a lot of air out the top, which then ends up blowing in your face which can also become uncomfortable

    Fantastic vacuum
    Well here is the first phase of the review from the person that took it out of the box and put it together. This is what he said. It took 20 to 30 seconds to assemble AFTER all the parts were out of the box. Very good instructions. It came fully charged, ready to go. Was impressed with the power. By removing the extension tube, It will be perfect for cleaning vehicle interiors, stairs, and furniture. I give it 5 stars and I am just the husband!!! OK so I came home and looked through the directions but it is so simple to use that it is unreal. It is light weight. You push a button and go. I own an older Dyson DC19 pet vacuum and I hate to say it but this Dyson has more suction then the big Dyson. It is fantastic for steps as all you need in one hand to use it. You do not have to carry anything in your other hand to vacuum. It is light weight and nicely balanced to put it up in the air. This vacuum can go anywhere and the part I like is there is nothing to stop you from getting under anything. This vacuum is going to be wonderful for cleaning out vehicles especially when we have two dogs that shed all over our truck. I can either make it short with the brush part that comes with it or keep it together and use it to reach further with the original floor cleaner on it. So, it is easy to handle, easy to turn on. fantastic suction, no cord to deal with. Just have to find a place to put it on the wall so I can put it on the charger. OK,I have never found anything that is perfect. But, this is what I wish. I wish it ran longer then 20 minutes on a charged battery (or maybe came with 2 batteries would be really nice) as that is all I got from it. But then again it is not vacuum to do the whole house. The only other part and I know that I will master it is. I have arthritis in my hands and to empty the catcher cup. You have to slide the release lever down and I have not mastered it quite yet. It is a little hard to open and then it just may be me but the first time I put it back together after emptying it I did not have it clicked together tight so I had to have my husband help me. For a person with out stiff hands there should not be a problem. I have to admit I was Leary about this. But I am not any longer. It is a good vacuum for quick pick ups and the hard to reach spots and as my husband says. It will take the paint off the walls Yes Dysons can be a bit pricey but before I bought my first one over 7 years ago and it is still going strong, and received this one from the Spark Reviewer Program, I had bought cheaper model vacuums and I would go thru one at least every year. So to me the price is well worth it. I am just hoping that I will get as many years out of this one as I am getting out of my old dyson.

    My new Best Friend
    This Dyson V 6 Slim Vac was an amazing find. The name Dyson means quality. It was packed extremely well. Once all the shipping material was removed, it took me 2 minutes to assemble it, NO TOOLS required. The overall feeling is well balanced in my hand, and not heavy or bulky felling. Then came the cleaning test. I just did a deep cleaning yesterday to all my floors, and furniture. I have small dogs that shed, and do lay on our sofas. I have a 6 foot long and 1 foot wide sofa table I proudly display over a dozen family photos on as well as some old glass ware. I have always hated the thought of taking all of those items off, move the table out as to vacuum behind and under it. NO MORE will I have to, this Dyson V 6 with the power and flexibility cleaned under and behind the table. I did not have to move a thing off the sofa table. I did change the heads, the small brush is less the 3 " wide and fit behind the table easily. The amount of hair and dust that was in the dirt cup shocked me. Dumping the dirt cut was simple. Then I tried the motorized head on my sofa I just cleaned yesterday. The Dyson V 6 Slim Vac worked wonderful at removing dog hair from the sofa cushions. Once again, I had to dump. the dirt cup, it was full. My final test was my kitchen and bathroom floors, they are tile with area rugs. The Dyson V 6 Slim Vac did an amazing job at finding dirt, dust and hair I did not know was even there. Thank You Dyson for another superior product.
