PERFECT FOR US BIGSTERS!
Ironically its bigger people like me that really need something like a treadmill but almost all of them are rated for less than we weigh. I did ALOT of research. Turns out that a treadmill that is rated for heavier people are way expensive, at least a $1000! The biggest factor is the motor. Here's a quick explanation: motors on typical treadmills are capable of basically 1mph to 10-12mph. The motor is giving you all its got when you're at the top end running at 10-12mph. Conversely the motor is not running strong at all when you are walking at say speeds less than 3-4mph. And now factor in someone like me at 310lbs walking on that same treadmill at that slow speed. Not only is it already running at a fraction of its available torque, but now it has to strain to move my largeness along! So lets say you spend $1000+ on a treadmill and you're my size and you use it just to walk (because honestly, bigsters like me are NOT running anywhere) its a recipe for an early demise of the motor because of the sheer strain I'd put on the motor. In fact, that's why personal trainers or gym owners have always tried to steer me AWAY from their treadmills - sound familiar? On one hand I'm glad that I found this out but on the other hand I was disappointed because it seemed that getting a treadmill was not in the cards for me. Fortunately for me I continued to research online and found out that there was such a thing as a 'walking only' treadmill. And Walmart had one! And it was only around $350! It is rated for 400lbs and again the factor is the motor. Instead of a motor where its highest torque is at 10-12mph, this one has a max of 4mph. What that means is at 2.5mph the motor is giving you more than 50% which means its not straining at all! THAT is why its rated at 400lbs and THAT is why its perfect for us bigsters! Ok I'm not going to go over all its features, you can read them for yourself. I've had this for a solid month and I purposely waited that long to see if it could truly handle a big guy like me. YES, it sure does! I've been using it 5 days a week at 2.5mph for 30mins. Boy does that ever soak my shirt every time so I know its working! This beats walking outside because the only way to stop is to consciously hit the 'stop' button. Plus you're going at the same pace for the duration of your workout - no slowing down or stopping to talk to someone, no distractions like if I was walking around the neighborhood! Two things though, one is the on/off button is also on the left handlebar and at first I would accidentally hit it and stop the treadmill in the middle of my workout. But like me, you'll just become used to not putting your hand too close. Second, the heart monitor is really not so accurate. But then its not really that big of a deal because as long as you don't start huffing and puffing to the point where you can't comfortably talk to someone, then your heart rate is fine. Otherwise this treadmill is built very well, the stride length is perfect for me at 6' tall and on top of everything else, it really is a slick looking treadmill! Plus its got a 5yr warranty on the motor AND the frame. Ok, one more thing. I've read quite a few reviews where they had problems with the shipper. Problems with broken parts and boxes with rips and holes as if it had been thrown around. Honestly with all the horror stories I've heard about shippers and the way they treat packages delivered to homes it really wouldn't surprise me if thats what really happened. Anyway, I took advantage of the 'ship to store' option figuring shipping to the store itself would garner much more respect for what is being shipped. I don't know if that is true or not but my treadmill box didn't have one rip or tear on it and of course nothing was broken. You DO need and suv or pickup and you DO need at least one other person with you. Installation with two people was 20mins. If I could add just one thing to my treadmill it would be a place to hold the tv remote since I have it set up in front of the flat screen!

Do Not Buy From Walmart
The condition of the box was a sign of things to come. The box was obviously a return, but to my surprise, inside of the box was even worse. It was immediately obvious that not only was this a return, but it was used extensively before being returned. The condition of the tread was worn, the body was marred, not just marked, with signs of high usage. Given that someone at Walmart shipped this I am shocked. Needless to say, even after all that I was willing to try to put it together which was impossible given that most of the parts were missing. Over 34 pieces were just not in the box which had been haphazardly thrown in with some packing bags. IT was OBVIOUS that the people in the warehouse realized this wasn't a complete unit and simply wanted to move it out. Walmart said that I could return it - but I would have to bring it to a store. That is when the fun began. Turns out the invoice sent with the box was from almost TWO (2) years earlier. As such, the store was not going to allow me to get my money back. It took almost an hour and a half to get the right information that finally allowed me to get it returned. So the workout was moving it, taking it and trying to put it together all before having to box it back up and drag it into the store. So, I am done with Walmart on online purchases now. This was not only ridiculous but it was highly unacceptable

    Two free workouts included!
They didn't mention the 2 workouts involved before you even turn the treadmill on. One to set it up and the other to cut up the giant box it comes in. But in all seriousness, it seems to work great and as a large woman I appreciate the wide grip bars at the side. Highly satisfied so far!

    Works, but......
I bought it, with the belief that this was a new, unused item. The box was ok, but some of the pieces were not in their wrapper. And there were 2 hardware peices already screwed in, but in the wrong holes. The heartbeat sensor does not work. But the actual treadmill does work. I picked this one specifically for the weight allotment. My 300lbs self can walk comfortably on this track.

    Buyer beware
They shipped me a return that was missing the power cord and several structural pieces! It had the main piece, the base part for the feet, and the interface- That was it! NO HARDWARE, NO POWER CORD, NO TUBES WITH WHEELS!

    Very Very Happy
I bought this online Feb 2021. Trust me searched and searched to find the right treadmill for me. I am 250. lbs, Bad knees and back. SO I really needed something sturdy, solid and build for a large person. TRUST ME look no further. I mean I only just got it today, and I will keep you up to date on the progress, but so far 100% satisfied. ONE ISSUE. It is heavy and eave heavier in the box. SO get help to carry it and help to put it together. My grandson was here to help me.

Assembly not as simple as portrayed
I chose this treadmill after a ton of research on features and benefits and decided that this was the best option for a couple of reasons: 1). the high 400lb max user capacity and 2). the ease of assembly. I actually purchased the $89 expert assembly option but after reading countless reviews about how easy it was to assemble; I decided that I probably would not need it and cancelled it before my treadmill arrived...and that is where I went wrong. So, first things first; I started to get a little nervous when I saw the tools pack with at least 20 different sized screws and bolts along with the wrench/Philips screwdriver it came with. See, to me simple does not involve me reviewing diagrams on where to place a part and then screwing it into place. To me, simple means that there may be a few basic parts that easily "snap" into place or connect to each other. So after screwing the 1st set of screws on the stabilizer bar which was pretty simple; I got frustrated and gave up when I couldn't figure out how to fit the stabilizer on the machine itself. So, while the assembly may be simple for most; if you know that you are particularly challenged with this type of thing then you may want to purchase the expert assembly or hire a handyman on thumbtack.com to assist you if there is no one around you that can help. For feedback to the manufacturer--it would be extremely helpful to provide video instructions for the assembly which would be beneficial for those of us who are visual learners. I scoured YouTube looking for a video assembly tutorial, and the only one I could find did not show how to attach the stabilizer bar. Apparently, there are different versions of this same model and I believe some may come more fully assembled than others because the tutorial I saw appeared to have the stabilizer bar already attached right out of the box. Otherwise, I am pleased with the machine thus far considering that I haven't got it fully assembled yet. It came packaged very well and it is as sturdy as other reviewers have indicated. It doesn't take up too much space, although it is a nice size for a simply designed piece of home equipment. The base is comparable to what you might find in a commercial treadmill at a gym but designed for home usage. So my point is if you are a heavier guy or gal; you should feel secure on it and not feel like you are going to break it. So those are my initial thoughts for now--I will update my review after I get it up and running and fully operational.

Great price and good tech support
I've had my treadmill for about 6 weeks or so. It is a good, functional walking treadmill. When I first got it, it was making a loud "flapping" sound. It sounded like there was something hitting a flywheel. I called the support number at Exerpeutic, and got a call back in about 24 hours. When I explained the nature of my concerns, the very pleasant woman suggested that the problem was related to an over-tightened belt. She directed me to a video on YouTube that told how to adjust the belt. It worked like a charm. The bonus is that because it is a fairly simple construction, the buyer/user can do minor repairs and adjustments without having much prior knowledge. They have several videos posted about how to fix the adjustment issues. They get extra points for providing this self-help to owners. The second positive is the price. It is a walking treadmill, so it doesn't go fast, but I am 70, and I don't want it to go over 3 mph. The third positive is that the heart rate monitor really works. It never worked on my $1500 treadmill that died after 12 years. I have added a light weight plywood and zip tie desktop across the arms so that I can use a computer or tablet while I am walking. It works great for simple games, but not so well for actual reading since I am moving at the time. Negatives: 1) The speed always starts at .4 mph and you have to manually increase it after the belt starts moving. There aren't any presets or buttons to let you set it at a specific speed to start out. 2) There are buttons on the arms to adjust the speed (and other things including on/off). This sounds better than it works, because if you bump one of them without intending to, you can turn the thing off in mid step and they are REALLY in the way. I'm working on a way to cover a couple of them up so I don't accidentally hit them. I recommend this with reservations. It works well for me. I use it about 30 minutes a day at about 2.5-3 mph and it works perfectly. It would not be fast enough for someone who wants to jog, and the belt isn't long enough for jogging. It is a walking treadmill and advertised as such.
