Portable. Nice. I was able to use it to add a printer to my laptop using the cd-rom instead of searching for the printer program online. Old-fashioned, but it still works.

    i used it one time and it worked great. the next time i went to use it, it just kept scanning the disc. i dont recommend this external drive

    Oh my god
    I have had this since January and just now went to use it. It blew up my laptop. I wouldn't buy this for someone I hated. Doubtful that anyone will replace my Chromebook. I will never buy any more electronic from Walmart or its affiliates.

    YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR $$$
    Good price. I liked it size of it. I could not get or to read 2 discs so I just gave up on it and threw it In the trash. Wasn't worth the hassle of trying to get my money back after reading the other reviews.

    Requires 2 USB ports, provided cables are SHORT
    Requires two USB ports, one for power and one for data. I only have two ports on my brand new laptop, one on each side. The cords provided are short, and don't reach both sides. Since they both connect with the laptop, why can't they share the cable? A big nuisance.

    would not read any dvd's
    nice looking unit, easy to hook up to computer, but I could not get it to read any dvd's. the computer recognized the unit as my F drive but never recognized any dvd's in the drive.

    Don't waste your money like I did
    Worst $20 I ever spent. Not only did they send the wrong color (I bought a black one, received a white one), the blasted thing doesn't even work. Won't play brand new discs (CD and DVD) as if they're scratched/broken. Now it makes sense why they don't accept returns. Their product is trash and they know it.
