Love it for text and phonecall notifications!
After waiting over a year for a nice unobtrusive 'watch' to come out that I could purchase to get texts notifications I finally purchased this little jewel. It blends in with my bracelets and I love it. It also provided the time which was a nice touch after not wearing a watch for years due to my computer or cellphone always being nearby but somehow never available when I needed the time! I don't use it for the fitness stuff yet but it does remind me to move which is nice!

Not for me
My husband bought this for me, and I thought it would be perfect. I liked the small design and the fact that it was waterproof. It started with the pairing. We had to delete the app and try again. We eventually got it to work. Then I realized it started recording events on my calendar at the wrong time. It wasn't even on the same day. The event would say it was recorded at the right time but did not show on the right day. I checked to make sure the time was right and it was, so not sure what's wrong with that. It loses connection to my phone often. Last night it did not record my sleep and I pressed the button for sleep and awake. This is just too much hassle for what it's worth. This product will be going back.

    Garmin Vivosmart does not work
The display on this Garmin is about 75%. The other 25% of the display is blank. It is a disappointment since I have had other Vivosmarts with no problems. My last one does have a shrinking display after a year of use. I ordered a new one, but it is worse that the one i have worn for a year. I would not recommend this product.

    Disappointed in Garmin
The bracelet worked fine for a few weeks before the lights on the display started to go out. Fast forward a few months and so many lights have gone out that the display is nearly impossible to read some times. I am in the process of returning this product and do not plan on getting another one. I will say that people tend to give the app a bad rep but I didn't mind it. Except for the issue with the led lights this was a very nice step counter. It was extremely handy to get my notifications from the opposite side of the house as my phone.

    Waterproof fitness tracker
My husband and I had already purchased these for ourselves. I ordered two more on line on Black Friday and got them for $79 each which is $20 less than what we paid. They work great because you can leave them on all the time. I teach water aerobics so I needed a tracker that would work in the water. Also, I do not have take off when I shower. They work great!!!

    On my 2nd one....
So far so good. Had to return the first one after about 3 weeks due to the screen going bad, which evidently is a common issue. However, many seem to have no issues after months or use. Beyond that, I love all the features of the Vivosmart, it's great when it works like it should. It was down to this and the Fitbit Charge HR, but the design of the Garmin won me over. I did have a pairing issue that lasted several days while (very unhelpful) emails went back and forth to tech support. Eventually I was able to figure out how to fix it myself, so I'd give their tech support a major thumbs down.

Still trying to get a feel for it
I think it's good for what I wanted it for: getting me to move and making me think about exercise and food. I also think a string tied around my finger would have been just as effective. I think the steps count is wildly inaccurate, but I haven't heard great things about Garmin's competitors, either. I like the device itself and its display, and I like the iPhone app. It does get me to move most of the time when I get the reminder because as someone with largely a desk job, I can sit for hours and not realize it. Not sure about the sleep function and I don't like that I have to tell it when I sleep and wake. Hopefully Garmin keeps improving it with software updates.

    Perfect for small wrists
I have gone through a few fitness trackers and have had trouble finding one that fit well. I have very small wrists (measured 5 inches around) I ordered a small and it fits great. I have it on the second to smallest notch and its snug, but not too snug. The battery lasts about a week, and I feel it does a fairly accurate job of tracking my steps. Its also fun to see my sleep patterns. If you have small wrists and are looking for one that fits well, and isn't bulky, this is the one for you.

    I have faith in Garmin
This is exactly what I wanted, size-wise and color-wise. Small and black. I have a small wrist, but this fits perfectly. I suppose I got mine as more of a fashion statement than anything else, but I also keep track of my steps. All I know is that I'm completely satisfied with it.
