Nice Tires
I like buying tires on Walmart.com. Ship to store. Huge selection with great prices. I got a free installation deal when I bought these Grabber STX raised white letter tires, a $48 dollar value. The tires look good on the truck and I'm sure I'll get great service from them. They seem to handle well on the road and give a smooth ride.

Make sure to have them mounted with blackwall out
Decent tires. Inexpensive and good looking, with good traction—I had mine mounted with the white letters on the outside. The attached image is the result of lightly scraping the curb periodically when parking over the past 6 months. It only takes a couple of light scrapes to expose the whitewall. Other than this, they are decent tires—just make sure to mount them with the black side out.

The Quite Tire with sense of control.
Had a Chevy Suburban 1999 in 2011 or 12, now I have 2013 Chevy Suburban because of a shortage at (won't say). This tire is a great quite on the road and dirt roads a tolerable noise, no scary noises. For this great price at Walmart, I got them tires "ON MY RIDE". Ready to go to Austin. From Lubbock to Austin a lot of different surfaces. This tire can handle it. Oh! 60,000-mile tire for a great price. It handles the road for me it makes me feel safe and in control. Photos of the type of roads I drive. Drive Safe!!!

    Great Experience
I've only had them installed for less than a month but so far so good! I was able to purchase on line using a 3rd party which gave an additional 2% cash back option. The delivery to the store was on time. Installation for the tires was able to be completed quickly in store. There was an additional cost for the installation of the tires and disposal fees etc which will vary with individual selections and preferences. A little research on the company and it is a US manufacturer so I was comfortable with the quality and purchasing unseen merchandise since they would be regulated by US standards. Walmart also provided a card with registration information to register the tires in the event there was a recall. The ride is amazingly better than what I had before. At this point I would highly recommend.

    Most miles for dollar spent
I ordered the General STX (Walmart sold General hts) after 20 hours research (I'm retired) on various forums and websites(tirerack.com the best). The order and installation went smoothly. I compared several all season p/up and cross over tiers for cost ,traction and actual Realistic Expected tread wear(55,000 miles). The Michelin ltx and Bridgestone alenza plus were the highest mileage performers, but with 20% more life they were 75% MORE EXSPENSIVE. Others like Firestone le/2 and Continental lx-20 were similar to the general STX but cost 20-30% more. This analysis is based on my needs. I have a 4wd ranger p/up and drive 95% on paved roads, and would rather use 4wd in deep snow rather than have a much louder all terrain tire . I have used this tire in 3' snow and slush in 2wd and it performed as advertised. This tire has all the attributes I need and is far superior to the Dunlop grand trek it replaced.

    Outstanding Tire, Outstanding Value
I purchased these tires two months ago and they have more than exceeded all my expectations. First impressions are they look great, they are ultra quiet in both city and highway driving, they really stick to the road in both wet and dry conditions. I have driven through lots of standing water during our Florida afternoon thunderstorms and they have performed flawlessly. I have a 2010 Mercury Mountaineer and decided to go with the raised white letter out (very happy I did). The most amazing characteristic of this tire was the price. I paid less than half of what my Michelin LTX M/S tires cost and these tires handle and perform just as well. If I can get 40,000 miles, they will be a great investment. Thank you to all the positive reviewers!

Quiet , smooth ride and looks good
So far so good. I've only had them a week. They have a nice quiet, smooth ride on the interstate and they look good. I have only put 400 miles on them so far. Will let you know how they are wearing in 10 or 15 thousand miles.

Trusted another reviewer and was pleased
I needed new tires for my 1997 4Runner as it was time and I wanted a good highway tire for towing a 3500lb Pop Up Camper I recently purchased. I read the other review here stating they were on the Consumer Reports best list in 2011. Michelin has topped the 2013 and 2014 list but are just too expensive for me at this time. Ive had these General Grabbers for about 4000 miles and we've had some crazy weather here lately in South Texas (Dec '13-Feb '14), as Im sure the whole country has, lots of misty wet roads and some ice. Wonderful traction, stopping ability and VERY quiet compared to my previous tires. My previous set was a BFG Rugged Trail, and although I liked the way they looked better (slightly more aggressive tread and the solid white lettering) I am not disappointed in the least. Price was on Rollback so I couldn't turn them down. I also noticed a slight MPG increase, almost 1 MPG in city and almost 2 on the highway. Towing is no problem on or off road. Warranty is a plus but I doubt I will need it. Hope this helps.

    Great Tires
Last Year Consumer Reports had an article on the General Grabber HTS. It said that for the money this was an excellent tire. The price was great. I started looking around as it was about 'tire time' for my Trailblazer. I found the Grabber STX at Walmart, and ended up having to contact General tire to find out something about it. Turns out this is a 'made for Walmart' tire that is really the Grabber HTS. I bought 2 and liked them so much I bought 2 more. I'm very pleased so far wet and dry pavement, but have yet to experience any snowy or icy conditions as the Oklahoma weather has been unusually dry. Maybe this year. They ride smoothly and are very quiet. I have told several friends and relatives about them.
