Great equipment for the price
I haven't had a chance to actually use the item yet. My boyfriend brought this for my dad and it just came in. He has high cholesterol, so wanted to get him something he can use to exercise without actually having to leave the house. Live a better lifestyle, you know :) We unpacked it and started the assembly process. We finished assembly and started the registration process which was pretty easy to do. The iFit program capability is also a plus. This will help my dad track his progress. He is a competitive guy, so it would be a great motivation tool for him. It does have an area to place your phone or tablet on it while your working out, which is very convenient. I did a test run on it after we assembled it and it was pretty smooth and it doesn't take too much space in the garage. Great for the price!! “I am writing this review as part of a contest”.

Had It for a month and a half and its broken
First of all, one of the bolts wouldn't fit into the nut provided because the nut was stripped. no big deal, instead of calling warranty and waiting for the part I went to the hardware store and replaced it. then the screw that holds the right pedal on to the wheel FELL OUT while I was running. the blue loc tite is supposed to hold it in place. I noticed my foot tilting and stopped before I fell off and was injured and screwed everything back in place. few minutes later it is back out. SO, I went and put more of my own loc-tite on it and noticed the cheap plastic washer they have has already eroded on the inside. I put a new nylon washer on it , tightened down the screw with the new loc-tite and let it sit. it worked great for the next 3 weeks, I figured I was in the clear. today it sounds like I murdered a guinea pig and now that same spot where the screw came out is bent, the screw is burning hot. I would accompany pics if I could. time to call warranty because this I cant fix myself. cant wait to see how this goes.

    Buyer Beware!!!!!!!
I bought this machine in March 2016 and by October 2016 it started to make a thumping sounds. It was caused by the wheels wearing the metal on the track down. The wear caused a stress fracture and a hole started to form. When I called the company they were rude and said it was not consider the frame and it was not covered under their bogas warranty, but I could buy the part for $321.00. What a joke. Buyer Beware!!!!!!!

    Will Do For Now
Pros: This elliptical is effective for toning muscles around the knees, thighs, legs, bum, and lower back. It is small enough for my small space, which I needed. The moving handles are high enough to ensure proper posture. The heart rate monitor appears to be surprisingly accurate. The display is easy to use, read, and is quiet. Cons: Stride is WAY too short. I'm not tall, but the stride is simply way too short for anyone unless they are a child (but don't let a child use this). The strength is really weak so that will work if you need a light pace, but not good if you are looking to continually build muscle. There is no incline option. The cup holder is in the WORST PLACE EVER - I have to uncomfortably bend down to get it and I'm not even tall! The tracks on the back are hard to keep clean because of the exposed grease and sometimes the wheels appear to move out of place if I'm not pushing right. The foot pedals are open in the back - I'm used to closed pedals for safety. The foam on the moving handles is not ideal for a sweating and moving hand grip - I feel like they will rip so easily. Power Source: I get really angry that Gold's Gym STILL does not include the power cord with these machines. This is my 3rd Gold's Gym elliptical and I'm always able to find a power cord for about $10 online, but you need to check the output when you get it before you can order the cord. I used to use rechargeable batteries with their ellipticals, but it loses its power with the battery power so I recommend only using a power cord unless your only option for your space is batteries. Assembly of this takes a lot of time and patience. The hardest part is getting it out of the packaging. Overall: I do not recommend this unless you need an elliptical with a tight budget (like me). If you get this, I STRONGLY recommend you get a care plan with it. I have had care plans with Walmart in the past - I only had to use one, but they were impressively helpful, responsive, and took care of my situation.

    Great purchase
I normally don't post reviews, but since I read them before I purchase, here is my two cents. The product was a great price and easy to put together, took me maybe 2hours. If you looking for an elliptical this is one.

    So far so good
Much bigger than I expected. I didn't have any help putting it together so it took me just under 4hrs. I would suggest just taking a deep breath and following the instructions in order. I have minor complaints, like the plastic foot cover was broken. There were no major parts broken. I'm satisfied and the work out is good.

total poop.......took 4-5 hrs, put together, bought ipad, to use for the ifit app........ifit app. would not connect to Bluetooth in the machine, called ifit in Utah, they said..it was a new model and they don't have the program built for it yet...but did say..you can still use manual mode....if I wanted manual mode, I would have bought a cheaper model......

    Great purchase
This elliptical was easy to put together (about 2 hours). My husband and I both use it everyday and it works great. My only complaint is the display takes 4 D batteries instead of plugging in, so you go through them quickly.

    So far, so good...
I know it's soon to give a review, but there were only two others that oppose each other, so I think I should give one, also. I have only had this elliptical for one day, so this will only be my initial impression. I will update if my impression becomes different. I ordered from Walmart.com and my order was ready for pick-up the same day. PICK-UP: I ordered from Walmart.com and it was ready for pick-up the same day. The box fit in the back of my 2002 Kia Sportage with no problem by simply folding the back seats down (forward). WARRANTY: I got the Walmart 4 year Plan for exercise equipment for $37, as I know exercise equipment tends to need adjustments due to the constant use. I feel this is a very good deal for peace of mind. The warranty information is to be sent to my email within 24-48 hours after purchase, so don't be alarmed if you don't get it right away. ASSEMBLY: This took my husband and me between 2-3 hours to put together while we were watching TV. I didn't watch the clock so I'm not sure exactly how long. Honestly, we were in no hurry, so you could probably get it done faster if you wanted to. If you follow the directions, it is pretty straight forward. All the parts were there, and were all good. It is a nice sturdy machine. THERE ARE NO BATTERIES INCLUDED for the console. That was a bummer since I had no D batteries in the house and you need 4. Without the batteries you can't adjust the resistance, so it seems really hard when you try it out. Don't worry! Once you add the batteries the resistance is adjustable. You can assemble the console whether you have the batteries or not and put them in later. You can also buy an adapter to plug it in if you call a phone number, rather than using batteries. You might want to have some plastic gloves to put the grease on - you have to put it parts in 3 different steps of the assembly process, so don't waste it all in the first step. Also, there is grease in the track where the wheels go - I did not like that at all since my cats are all over this thing. I wiped it all off the tracks & wheel easily, and it works fine without it. SIZE: Around 60" long x 27" wide x 65" tall. STURDINESS: This is sturdy. It has adjustable knobs in case your floor is uneven. NOISE: This is really quiet, since it runs on magnetic resistance. You can watch tv or have a conversation with no problem at all. SIZE: This is bigger than I imagined it from looking at the girl in the picture. I think that girl is probably about 6 feet tall. Just guessing. STRIDE: The stride is 17 inches. I read that a stride on a front drive elliptical can be 2 inches less for your height than it would be for a rear drive elliptical. I believe this is true. I am 5'8" and my old elliptical was rear drive with 18 inch stride. This 17 inch front drive stride feels the same if not larger. *If you have never gotten or used an elliptical, you need to know that the stride is important for your height. I read that the stride for 5'7" and more should be at least 16" with front drive elliptical and at least 18" with rear drive elliptical. Shorter people can use smaller strides and taller people may need larger strides. PORTABILITY: This is easily moved by picking up the back part - the front part has wheels. I would not attempt to move this up or down stairs alone, but you could wheel it across the floor by yourself. FEATURES: DRINK HOLDER: I like that it is low so my knees don't hit it. It's in a great convenient spot. iFit APPS: This is only ENABLED for iFit. You have to buy that app if you want it. iFit is actually a site you have to go to to get the app so you can watch the visuals as if you were running in places like Hawaii or Swiss Alps. It costs $9.99 per month (you can cancel whenever you want) or $99 a year (I think). I didn't get it so I can't review that. I like to watch TV anyway while I exercise so I don't care about this app. FOOT PEDALS: Are wide and comfortable. I wore my Nike Gel flip flops and it was like walking on a cloud. "HANDLE BARS" (not sure what the technical term is): The ones that move are are very comfortably angled and have nice foam covers. The ones that don't move are not foam-covered. They are the ones that would measure your heart rate - it works. CONSOLE FAN: Very quiet nice little breeze that you can turn off or on with console buttons. PROGRAMS: There are various programs that you can push to make it automatically do that in your work-out so you don't have to adjust resistance every so many minutes. There is an 8 Week Weight Loss Program that looks good. TABLET HOLDER: There's a spot for your tablet or phone so it's in a stable place. SOUND: It has speakers and bluetooth and a plug for MP3 in, but I haven't tried it yet. I tried to answer all the questions I had when I was looking. Finding and comparing exercise equipment can be a daunting task! I hope this helps someone.

    Great elliptical
I put the unit together two weeks ago. It was relatively fast and the instructions were easy to follow. It took us about 40 minutes. The unit is smooth and quiet. I am really happy with the read out, the programs, and having something at home that won't wake the children. I am a happy mom.
