The received product is not as described
The received order was not as described. I ordered Instant Pot Duo 8 Qt 7-in-1. The description shows it has redesign steam release. However, the received product is the older model of lid. The return and full refund was issued and it's not as easy as other internet supplier. I'm still waiting the response from vendor.

    Does a lot but not all it claims.
    Unit does NOT do slow cook. Probably could if it had a ceramic internal pot. It is very easy to use. Instructions are clear.

    If I could give Instant Pot more stars, I would! This is the best kitchen gadget you could invest in. Forget slow cooking something for 8 hours and having to smell it the whole time. The Instant Pot cuts that time way down and you're not stuck smelling it for hours! We use the instant pot several times a week and it makes everything so tender, moist and juicy. We love it so much, we have 2! You can use this as a rice cooker, saute, pressure cook and so much more. We make French Dips, Chicken for Quesidillas, Cheesecakes, rice, pulled pork and so much more. Well worth the money!

    I am still learning the ins and outs of using the instant pot. I made a stew, using the stew auto-set- the meat was wonderfully tender, but the veggies were almost non-existent by the time it was served. The pot came with one recipe and I just need to learn how to use it for different things that I want to make. I'm certain I will love it when I get the hang of it!

    1.5 years, defective, no warranty
    I bought my 6QT Duo in May of 2019. After 1 1/2 years of light use, I noticed a rattling noise coming from inside the base when I was reassembling it after cleaning. I removed the bottom plate, and out fell a screw head that had broken off. IP's only have a 1 year manufacturing warranty, which is in itself pretty poor IMO. When I reached out, they gave me a 25% discount code for a repl base and/or entire unit. On their website, the bases for many of the standard/popular models are out of stock. Why do you think that is? How many people are there with a similar situation to mine? I'm hesitant to repurchase another because of the poor warranty coverage and suspicious optics.

    I ordered this pot to replace the 8qt duo that was purchased in 2017. I was out of warranty on the 2017 unit and could not get it to come to pressure. The company was kind enough to offer me a generous discount on a new unit. I kept working with the old unit and finally got it working again! The problem was with defective seals - one had never been used at all but yet would not seal properly! And the seals were IP brand! Anyway, now I have two working 8qt Duos and I am delighted! Love my IPs and can't imagine not having one! And now I have two!!!

    Life saver
    I have been using this model instant pot for over two years now. It was gifted to me when we had our eighth child. I never would have known what a life saver it was going to be. Breakfast quinoa, steel cut oats, rice, roast and meats, soups, potatoes, lentils and probably some things I'm not remembering! It has been a complete life save because you can toss food in and forget about it! Anyway after 2 plus years of major loving it bit the dust. ☹️ Amazingly I was BLOWN AWAY when after corresponding with InstantBrands I was sent a new one free of charge! Makes me want to cry! Excellent and amazing customer service!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you InstantBrands!!!!!

    I highly recommend to use a recipe designed for an I.P.! If you don't, you'll have trial and error issues. There's a great internet group of people out there to help you with any questions.
