Cheaply made
The elliptical I'd had for some time had seen better days, so I bought this one after reading several reveiws on it, and several other ellipticals in my price range. I shouldve went with a different one or upped my price range. The peddles are way too far apart. I'm 5'6, I can't imagine how uncomfortable it would be for someone shorter than me. There are absolutely no hydrolics on it, which becomes hard on your knees after awhile. The bolts would not fit in the arms, so I called the company and they said it was either the wrong bolts or the wrong arms. They said they would send the bolts first, and if that wasn't the problem, then they would send the arms. It was the bolts. I guess this would be good for a giant who has really strong knees. I am returning it.

    Worst purchase !!!
This machine was quiet with first use. With second use slight noise developed with pedaling. By third use pedals popped loudly and mechanisms broke. Completely broken on third time. It was put together correctly by my husband....no fault on our end.

    Nice for the price
If you have ever used an elliptical at the gym, this is alot different. I find that there isn't a smooth "glide" to this one where you can adjust your own speed like the more expensive machines. The stride isn't very long and I find that I feel like I am running all the time on this thing. My speed is always at least 13.6mph according to the machine's computer. However, you end up getting a great workout. It also happens to be very quiet. I use it in the same room as my sleeping husband and he never knows. This machine handles my 280 lb frame just fine, I don't feel like I'm testing the limits of the equipment. My husband is bigger than me and he also uses it without issue. We put it together in an hour.

    small but nice
East to put together. It's on the small size but does a great job. I like the smaller size as it fits anywhere and we don't have a lot of room for a bigger one. The screen is small but gives the necessary information. There is no cup holder but I needed the smaller size so it wasn't a big deal. All in all it holds up nicely as I use it three times a day.

    Sturdy and secure
This elliptical is easy to use and wasn't hard to put together. I love using it and I'm a big woman, but I feel secure when on it.

    Not sure
The hardware was not labelled, the nuts/bolts/screws drawn in the assembly manual looked nothing like the ones in hand...and finally the holes drilled were not in alignment. Although the equipment itself is good it could not be assembled properly and I ended up with shaky hand bars.

    Great machine for the price
I purchased this about a week ago, and I am very happy with it. Quality, durability, size is exceptional. I don't have much room, and the overall size for this machine is great. I store/use on hardwood floor and it does not move around at all. I am 5'6 and I do enjoy the stride length of this machine. Toes DO NOT point downward with the pedals, either. I have not heard any noise come from it while in use. I hope this review is helpful for anyone looking to exercise and not spend a ton of $$$ on a machine. This does the trick!

    Ride to Good Health
I like the fact that it has a tension control for those of us who not exercised in years. it is very sturdy and does not move around when in use. The quality is very good for the price.

Little known brand, big in my book!
I really love Marcy exercise equipment. The brand is very affordable, especially for such a typically expensive piece of equipment. I have a Marcy recumbent bike as well that is still going strong after a year. I have tried many less expensive ellipticals I'm the past, but they were not at all durable and nothing like was advertised. But I definitely recommend this one. I am 5'2 and the stride, set on the shortest distance is perfect for me. I am also very over weight, 250+ and I don't feel like I'm too much for the machine. It's fairly stable, takes a little breaking in at first, but compared to other elliptical for this price, it's ridiculously sturdy. Mine is on carpet though, on a hard floor it would be perfect. Very quiet. Not too difficult to put together if you have ever put a piece of exercise equipment together. Overall, I am incredibly thrilled and would recommend this elliptical to anyone who is larger and trying to lose weight
