I used it to bring back the paint on a 1954 ford that had the original paint and was heavily water spotted that wax would not remove.It not only removed the water marks and some scratches but brought out the deep shine it must have had from new.I did not wax it yet and I will but I do not see how it could look any better after a wax job.I used a 8" electric high speed buffer at the low speed moving back and forth being careful not to burn the paint and changed the cloth buffing pads as soon as they were full of the dark blue paint. I tried color sanding 1 fender before I used this and spent 9 hours and a lot of buffing and compounding polishing and waxing and it didn't do as good as this in did in 1/4th the time and was a lot easier.

Caused more scratches than removing them
Being a avid Meguiar's user of waxes and other product. I used this scratch and blemish remover on a brand new (2 days old) 2021 Jeep Wrangler Sport to remove a couple of scratches from the dealer (who used his glove to remove snow) and it cause a haze that showed much more scratches than the scratches I was trying to remove. Very disappointed in this product from Meguiar's.

    100% recommend.
    4.99 stars. Minor scratch from dropping the end of a hose on my fender. No longer visible, unless you look at it from an insane angle in direct sunlight, in which case you see a very slight indent where the scratch was, but with no discoloration. For $8 and five minutes of my time, this stuff is impressive. Tested on my wife's car too, and it worked wonders.

    I had scratches for really long time on my van and was really embarassed. This really removed the scratches 90% and I feel that I am driving a new vehicle.

    Works wonders
    I had an unfortunate encounter with a fence post at my barn after taking a corner too sharply. I pulled out the bottle of Meguiar's that I bought after purchasing my truck used. It took out a lot of the surface scratches. Of course it didn't take them all out and didn't fix my jacked up running board but I would say it made an 85% improvement.

    Took a deep scratch out of my hood from where ice flew of vehicle in front of me on the interstate. Pretty pleased for a $10 fix. Will keep a bottle around!

    I was honestly a little discouraged by the reviews that said it did nothing for their scratches and that it didn't work at all... regardless I still decided to purchase and try for myself since 2 hours of my own labor and 9.00 was cheaper than getting it professionally done. It works amazing for what it is. It got some of the light scratches and scuffs out of my cars exterior(I have a black car also) and honestly worked really well for the price point. It's pretty much dummy proof, considering I have very little skills in upkeep on a cars paint job.

    4 stars....it mostly worked!
    It's okay. There are better out there, but they cost 2x-3x as much. I had light scratches from my wife dropping the garage down along my rear bumper. I'd say it's 90% improved. Not perfect, but I'm the only one that can still see it,,,,if I look really closely from the right angle. I'd say if you have light scratches, for eight bucks give it a shot.

    AMAZING Product!
    The door appliques on my 1 year old SUV had fine scratches that really bothered me, I felt no matter how clean and polished my car looked after a detail that the appliques were an eye sore due to the loss of shine from the fine scratches (most likely from having it washed). I was on the verge of purchasing and replacing all of the appliques on my car when I decided to do a little research. I came across Meguiars Scratch X, which had high recommendations and since it's a brand I use for detailing my car I decided to give it a try. I was BLOWN away with how amazing it worked!! I'm no longer going to replace these parts on my doors, and am beyond pleased with the outcome, it worked so well that I also used it in the door handle cups to get rid of the fine scratches from fingernails. I HIGHLY recommend this product for fine scratches.

    You get what you pay for.
    The first thing im gonna say is i love this product. Ive used many other “fine scratch removers” in the past, this one stands out to me. A good way to tell if u have a lot of little scratch’s is shine a flashlight at the paint and see for yourself. This one took almost all the little scratch’s off my truck its a white paint thats nearly 20 years old, and looks just as good as a car you could buy from a dealer. I applyed this with a orbital polisher so it does better than ur arm so thats why im giving the four star is because not everybody has one
