Great Oil
One of the BEST conventional high millage oils you can buy. I would rate Pennzoil HM #1 and Mobil Super Hm #2. I bought a used 99 S-10 few months ago. Have no clue what the previous owner was running but I put the Penn in, and noticed a huge difference. 3000 miles later I decided to give Mobil a try and I of course notice a difference coming from the dirty Pennz to the clean Mobil but I can't really tell a difference between the two because they're both great high millage conventional oils. I'm using the Mobil Super High Millage with a K&N High Performance Oil Filter. I DO NOT use FRAM. I wouldn't run a FRAM if FRAM was the only filter available. I rather use the same oil filter again than a FRAM. I used Bosch with the Pennz because there was no K&N in stock at the time but this time around there was so I grabbed it. I'm not sure if I'll stick with the Mobil or go back to Pennz next change but I have 3k miles to decide. I wish there were more conventional high millage options but there really isn't. A truck this old I wouldn't go to a synthetic blend even if I ran lucas oil stabil with it because it would prob cause leaks to arise so I'm keeping her on a conventional high millage oil. Those are the two she'll get and nothing else. In conclusion, if you need to run a conventional high millage either go with the Mobil Super HM or the Pennzoil HM, and stay away from FRAM oil filters. Some people say FRAM is good but I'm telling you it's not. I would never tell someone to run a FRAM oil filter. I work at AutoZone and I tell all my customers to go STP instead if they're looking to go the cheap route. If you don't want to spend the money on a K&N oil filter then go STP, Bosch or Mobil 1.

    '01 Ford F250 4X4, 5.4 gas, automatic.
I'm the second owner but Mobil 1 was used since day one. Purchased it in '05 with 100,000 on it. Just turned 300,000. Only major engine repair was an intake manifold at 150,000. Usual plugs, coils, brakes and other maintenance items. Original motor and tranny. Oil changes at regular intervals around 5-7000 miles. This is my personal & work vehicle that I use every day. Tow my boat or my dump trailer with ease. I feel that Mobil 1 played a large part in expanding the life of this engine. Even my mechanic can't believe that it just keeps going. Thanks for a great product.

It's just motor oil, folks! But it's recommended!
This oil came recommended to my by my brother who a good deal about a little bit of everything and he said it is a MUST BUY for older vehicles with high mileage. He cautioned against using cheaper oils and definitely said NOT to use synthetic oils with high mileage cars and trucks. I trust him emphatically because he speaks from experience and not just to be talking so I get my own oil for the mechanics to use so that they don't try to get away with putting the less expensive stuff in the car that is not a good idea for the car but a cost savings to them!

The hype is real! Worth the little extra cost.
I purchased my 2005 Toyota Avalon brand new and have had Toyota do the regular maintenance for the life of the car. I always ask to see the filter when they change it for two reasons. To make sure the guys didn't get lazy and not change the filter, and to see the quality of the oil and how much funky stuff was taken out. I asked the service manager, what oil they use for my car and if he would recommend a better/different oil. He said they always use Mobil 1 bulk oil (at this particular dealership) and if I wanted to switch to a full synthetic he would recommend the High Milage. So I researched a little more myself and decided that the next oil change I would switch. He said I could go 7500 miles instead of the normal 5,000 mile service interval but I told him lets keep it at 5,000 miles for the first oil change. When I asked to see the filter, the Mobil 1 high milage had broken down all kinds of sludge and I was surprised how nice the oil looked. Normally at a 5,000 mile oil change, the oil would be black and thin. This was quite thick and had slightly darkened but was still brown in color. I am impressed with the quality of this product and how much more quite and how smooth my engine is running. I wish I had made this switch sooner.

Working well in an 18-year-old truck
Have been using this oil for a year now in a 1997 Ford F250 service truck I puchased at auction. The truck is a former county service vehicle with the 4.6 V8 that had 128000 miles when purchased and has had a hard life. The county garage uses conventional oil in it's older vehicles, so I wanted to stay with a conventional oil, but use something with a little more protection. This oil seemed perfect for the job. I've put 12000 miles on it so far using only this oil. The oil consumption has been very acceptable considering the age and miles already on the truck. Even in the winter at 10 below zero, the oil pressure comes up quickly on a cold start. I generally change oil at around 5000 miles. The old oil looks good and feels right, with no burnt smell. I could probably safely up my miles between changes. So far this oil has been working very well for me.
