It makes a difference
Water softener works better after using a bag of the "clean and protect" salt. It costs more than regular salt so I don't use it often, don't have to. I think it has something in it that removes iron and other impurities that build up on the resin. Morton makes other additives that do the same thing but this is convenient to use.

    Unhappy with unnecessary minimum order charge .
    I liked the one bag of Morton's salt just fine, but I ordered two bags. The price LOOKED like two bags, but there was a 6.99 charge for minimum order. There was no need to charge 6.99 IF YOU HAD SENT TWO Bags as ordered.

    The product is fine. I live in the mountains and FedEx delivered six, 40-lb bags to the address next door (2 acres away) with an address that is very different from mine. Very frustrating!

    A premium salt product for water softeners
    Morton salt pellets in 40 lb bags are a convenient way to fill the salt hopper to regenerate the resin in the home water softener. I believe this is the best salt to buy. I used to drive to another store and fill my trunk. A bit of a mess by the time I unload. Now I typically order 6 x 40 lb bags from Walmart to pass the minimum cart value and delivery to my home is included. Walmart is doing a great service in carrying this premium product at a competitive price. Add free shipping and you can't beat it.

    Very pleased
    I have the lower back problem at this time. mobility is very limited. I like the fact that I did not have to drive 20 mi one way to get 120 lb of salt. That they delivered to my house. I believed it arrived two or three days before they said it was going to.

    A clean product
    I've consistently found this product to be free of dirt, at least to the naked eye. When it was unavailable, I found the competing products to have significant amounts of dirt in the bag.

    wrong house
    only in Horseshoes and Hand Grenades does close count. you really must deliver things to the right house or else you may as well not make the effort. we're fortunate that we have a very nice neighbor who came over and told us she found this outside her house. get with it boys!

    Need more manageable options!!
    Slight hole in pkg. which I noticed early enough to repair. If you still sold the 25 lb. bag in your store I could pickup or purchae in store. Timely delivery however.

    Great salt and free delivery!
    I used this salt for my water softener for years and it���s the best. Used to have to buy a bag or two at a time at local Walmart but now I just order 4 at a time and have it delivered to my front door. If I order other stuff I get free delivery and usually the same day or next day.
