Impressed with performance for inexpensive oil!
While I typically splurge for a major brand synthetic, I recently helped a friend change the oil in her car. She has always used the Supertech 5W20 and brought along a filter and new container of this oil. I was concerned that this oil would be nothing but a tar like sludge when drained as she had gone over 10,000 miles on her last change, which is well over the manufacturer's suggested change interval. Sure, the oil was dirty and black but there was no sludge and the insides of the engine looked to be clean. The dipstick didn't have the tell tale sludge that results from long OCIs and I could peer inside the valve cover and see part of the camshaft through the oil fill cap. Although valve covers are usually where the sludge formation is the worst as it is the lowest temp part of the engine, it was perfectly clean inside. The oil appears to have been doing its job of absorbing the dirt and keeping the engine internals clean well beyond its expected life. I also had her run the car for a while and then looked at the condition of the new oil so see if there was much dirt left inside the engine and the new oil looked just as good as new. I have seen name brand oils turn to sludge or at least give nasty deposits in engines that have been taken much better care of than this one. That name brand oil happens to often come in a yellow bottle. While I plan to continue to splurge for a full synthetic in my own vehicles, I must say that I was pretty impressed with the ability of this oil to withstand such a long change interval without completely breaking down into sludge. I don't suggest running any oil this long as I am sure many aspects of this oil were likely not performing to spec. Anyway, if you need to run this oil in a pinch or because you are on a budget, I wouldn't hesitate after seeing this.

Perfect for oil regular changes at 3k miles.
Bought this on roll back a couple years back I usually use Supertech full synthetic. Bought it for $8.00 could not pass it up. Would not go over 4,000 miles on it. If you go 3,000 Between oil changes its all you need. Hope this review helps you. Regards max1963.

Meets All API Specifications, is inexpensive!
Meets All API [American Petroleum Institute, which sets standards for motor oil] Specifications, is inexpensive, good deal! Look for specs on the bottle, it's the same as Pennzoil, Quaker State, etc., and costs a lot less. My cars run just fine on this.

    Cant be beat
I used nothing but super tech 5w20 in my 2009 Hyundai Accent up until 175,000 miles then only because of slight oil usage I switched to super tech 5w30 .Car is almost all highway driven at 70 mph and 100 miles daily, after it turned 235,000 oil use went up to 1/2 quart between oil changes which I do every 7000 miles so I again switched to super tech 10w30. I now have over 300,000 miles on it and it still runs as good as new. I'm hoping to get 500,000 miles out of this car. If I have to I will switch to super tech 10w40. I would love to get 1milion miles out of this car but I don't think that will ever happen.

    SuperTech Oil
SuperTech automotive oil are great. Definitely has Penzoil quality! I have been using Supertech in my Honda's for over 10 years. I change oil every 6 months with no engine problems, or sludge even after 10,000+ miles between oil changes. 10,000+ miles..yes! My current Accord has 291k miles. Previous Honda Odyssey had 295k miles before trading in with no engine problems.

Just As Good as Any Other
I have been changing my oil since the 60's. Found Super Tech about 10 years ago and use it in my cars. I just traded in a 2011 Hyundai Sonata. Oil change interval 7500 miles, mileage on the car 97600' engine problems 0. The label says it meets or exceeds manufacturer specs. Why pay more since your car is well protected for less.

    Why?!?!?!
I've been using conventional Supertech 5W20 oil for the last 30k miles on my 2005 Honda Element, no issues whatsoever. Reason I'm writing this comment is to let people know that for just 66 CENTS, not dollars, 66 CENTS more, you can GET Supertech FULL SYNTHETIC 5W20 oil for your vehicle. Call me crazy but for $12, full synthetic is available through walmart...much cleaner, less stressful on your engine, extends the life of your engine, and doubles the change interval between oil changes. I used to change every 3k, now after switching, I change every 6k. That alone cuts my annual oil change expenses in HALF!

    SuperTech Oil
Been using this brand for years, not only because of the great price BUT because it's great oil. I use it on my Honda and NEVER had any issues. I recommend the brand to friends and neighbors who are looking for a great value and a great product. I've been changing my own oil since 1977 so I know a value when I see it…keep up the great work Walmart and keep the prices low!!! I also use it on my friend's and family's cars….they don't do their oil so I do it for them and never had a problem.
