I LOVE THIS CAKE!!
I love this cake so much and it seems many others feel the same way because it is always sold out!!I always put this on my list and check online to make sure that Walmart has them in stock.It always shows it to be available but lately it never is. I get so disappointed and try another brand which always upsets me because I haven't found anything yet to be as good. Walmart what is the problem? Yesterday I found some at Kroger's. I checked in Walmart right after and like before the app.showed they were in stock!!! Looks like your computer or programmer aren't doing their job.

It's not what it used to be.
I bought this on a whim as I remember my late mother used to buy this cake and it was so delicious. Well times have changed, it is no longer creamy and delicious. The icing is overly sweet and has a fake/chemical taste to it. I was so disappointed as I was hoping for a nostalgic experience and sadly that wasn't the case. I actually requested a refund and I'd never buy it again.

    LIKE this coconut cake. Don't like that the price has gone up. Used to be around $3.00. Now, it's over $4.00. Better not go up anymore, i can always make my own, and it tastes better.

    Too Much Frosting for a Small Cake, Tastes Okay
    I bought this because my significant other requested coconut cake, which we both like. He really liked the cake, but I kind of hated it, so I gave it three stars. I thought the cake would be really good because we both love the peach turnovers by the same brand. I had to choose between this and the chocolate cake, but I probably won't even try that one because I hated this one. For me, the cake had too much frosting for what little layers of cake there was. It was frosting in the center and frosting on top, and the edges had the most frosting, so I opted for a middle piece, and it still wasn't a good ratio. On top of that, the frosting tastes artificial and not homemade at all. It tastes like it's made with oils instead of butter. Overall, not enough of the bread part of the cake and it didn't have enough coconut flavor. It wasn't the worst and it didn't taste bad, it was just not what I was looking for. At the very least, it tastes fine and looks pretty and petite, just too much frosting and tastes on the artificial side.

    Beware: Tiny black particles in cake; no recall on web - will call Peppering Farms on Monday (closed on Sat). Product sku: 51000-07625) expire: 09/02/23. Note: no protective wrap on cake - box only. Too bad; cake was tasty for a rush alternative.

    Even Pepperidge Farms Frozen cakes can go Bad!
    This is a delicious cake. I've ordered it many times though the years but the last time I bought one from Walmart it had MOLD in the middle. Turned me away for a couple years! I finally decided to try the cake again. I tell myself, it couldn't happen a second time. Believe me I will check before we eat! Pepperidge Farm has turned out very good Products at reasonable prices!

    Have purchased many times and am always amazed how good it is. The cake is so light, more so than many home made and the white icing is lightly sweetened and not too sweet with a generous amount of coconut. I did not even eat coconut cake when I first bought one and now I prefer it over the chocolate cake. It seems to have a lighter flavor. Great to keep in freezer and have something on hand to have a dessert to offer family or friends.
