Not good for daily use
Not good for daily use. We use it on top of our wood burning stove to add moisture to the air and rusted the first week we used it.

    Cast iron kettle
    I only purchased it for decoration on my wood stove. Looks very nice. Heavy and actually larger than I thought.

    Great kettle
    Works well for sitting on the wood/ coal stove. I ended up removing the lid so the buildup of condition wouldn't roll over the side and onto my wood stove. The craftsmanship of this kettle is not that great. It's ruff around the edges, the lid is poorly designed but at only $23.00 I think it's good enough to sit on the stove while adding humidity in the air. I would have liked the lid to be better but for only $23 bucks. It works. Buy one you'll like it. Just remove the lid. Yes it will rust on the inside. Its cast iron, that's what cast iron does. You could rub it with oil but why. This should only be used to sit on a wood/ coal stove, never to be used to drink from.

    Cute but rusty
    Exactly what I ordered, perfect size for my old franklin stove. Only complaint is it rusty already. The package said nothing about needing to season it.
