Poor quality
Although it serves its purpose, I was disappointed with the quality---the bottom of the drawers and the back of the headboard were cardboard. If I had realized how much assembly was required, I would have not purchased it. I realize that some assembly is to be expected, but this seemed excessive.

    Well, I know this was cheap but it is worth about $30. It's made of paper. I mean really it is made of PAPER. The drawer bottoms are cardboard stuck together with tape. Part of the drawer face had already peeled off.

    This is an excellent product! It didn't take long to put them together..... the directions were simple and they used pics instead of a lot of words..... my boys love their new headboards. And it makes their room look nice and big boyish.... :)

    Perfect, except the drawers
    First off, I'm not a particularly strong woman and I could put this together by myself. In fact I ordered two night stand, the dresser, the toy chest, and this head board and I could up every piece together by myself. Trust me, I was highly skeptical about purchasing these (had them in my cart for two weeks and looked EVERYWHERE ELSE to keep from buying these and having to build them) and I'm happy with every piece. This head board was exactly what I was expecting, and fairly easy to put together. One of the steps; however, step 8, where you attach the front (panel F) to the rest of the head board, is better done if you flip the headboard onto its face and screw the angle brackets in with Panel F resting on the floor into Panel G. Perhaps they had a reason for wanting you to stand it on it's top and to do it from that angle. I just couldn't deal with the sliding around. The thing I will mention, and why it gets a 4 out of 5. is the DRAWERS ARE HORRIBLE. Can they be done? Yeah. If I was building it again would I skip them and leave a shelf. DEFINITELY. If you are set on having the drawers save yourself some heart ache and use a staple gun, because I was ready to throw the draw out of the window trying to use the nails. Using the nails caused the drawer to continually fall apart. The staple gun helped resolve the issue some. I wish Sauder would charge an extra $25 and give me some decent drawers to put in. Anyway, trust me. You can put this together. The headboard is sturdy. Other notes: If you're buying a few pieces, consider putting together the night stands first. The first night stand took me the longest put together, but honestly it was because the reviews freaked me out and I was determined to make sure I made no mistake. The night stand made great starting pieces because they have all the pieces and elements the bigger pieces have and if you make a mistake it didn't seem to me to be as big of a loss. Oh, and the white is pretty white!

    Bought this over a year ago when I was moving in with my boyfriend. He was able to put it up quite easily. I love having a place where I can keep my ebook handy along with my tv and wii remotes. The drawers were a good touch for anything I don't want the cat to get to in my room.

    Great buy!
    I shopped around for a book case headboard and found lots that I liked, but every single place said they would have to order it AND I wouldn't get it until January. Really? I work in logistics and I know how long it takes to get something from point A to point B. I continued my quest and found this one that was $10 cheaper than another one I had looked at and free shipping if I had it delivered to a Walmart near by. For $3 more I could have it delivered to my door. Can't beat that! I ordered on Monday and received it on Thursday. It took about an hour and a half to put together and it's perfect for our bed and our room. Couldn't be happier. Great buy, great product, great service. Thanks!

    Great Headboard
    Great piece of furniture with excellent instructions on assembly. I am using it on a Queen size bed and it's perfect. The two drawer bottoms are cardboard but I find that absolutely fine and like the idea; if the unit is built properly the drawer slides on the cardboard bottom as to not scratch the wood underneath. The directions clearly state the weight maximums that should be in the drawers and these will hold up absolutely fine under those circumstances. I use the drawers for the remote controls and other little objects. For the cost I don't believe you can get a better piece of furniture.

    Headboard went together easily UNTIL you get to putting the drawers together. The drawers are not designed well & are hard to assemble. After getting them onto the headboard, which was also difficult, they are hard to open & close. The headboard looks great once assembled & was well priced. I would have just liked to have the drawers be functionable.

    Great for the price we paid!
    Bookcase headboards for queen size beds are hard to find if your looking for a higher quality piece of furniture. We bought one a few years ago in MI. & had to order it and it took 5 weeks to get it! It also cost 4 times as much! This one looks almost as good, was easy to assemble, not too heavy, & suites our purpose. It also came a week after I ordered it, which was great!We would recommend.
