Awesome little 4G phone!
I have had this phone for a week now, and am absolutely in love with it. The processor makes all tasks speedy and 4G reception in 69101 is better than anything I have ever experienced. If I had to come up with a con to this phone, it would be the bloatware that comes pre-installed on it, but if you can look past a few unnecessary apps, this is the phone to have if you want speed on a budget.

Garbage Phone!
This is by far the worst phone that I've ever owned! Everything worked great until I actually needed to use it for it's main purpose of calling people. It would literally take 30 attempts to make 1 call go through! I finally took it back and got my money back! Don't waste your time!

    20 dollar phone for ONLY 59.95 !!!!!
    My family and I have used Verizon and / or straight talk for as long as I remember and have had ECXCELLENT service in our area. I lose on average 15 calls per day , can only text from inside my home now . Simply can't understand this problem ! Also very very slow surfing ! As I said we have used Straight Talk on almost every other type of phone from Samsung to LG and this is by far my worst ever. It is a temporary phone at best... You got me on this one ALCATEL but you best belive that's the last one. Don't you guys know that customer to customer and word of mouth are your num .1 advertisement? I suggest pulling this one and offering us a credit on a quality phone of equal value. ...... Back to the LG where Life's Good !!!!!!!

    This phone has no storage or volume
    I bought this phone less than a month ago. It has no storage at all. When one of your apps need to update it will always say you have insufficient storage. The volume for the headphones SUCKS. I have not found anything good about this phone. Will NEVER buy another Alcatel phone.

    My wife and I both have this phone, and it's incredible how awful they are. We can be sitting next to each other in our apartment, and she will show 5 bars, and I will show 1. We can sit and text each other in the apartment, but anytime we try to make a call, we get 'No Signal'. Spent many hours dealing with customer service, who first told us to wait 4 hours for the activation, and then after that was up and the phones still didn't work, told us we had to wait 24 hours until they could contact the tower. After all that, still doesn't work in our apartment. They are sending new SIM cards, but I am willing to be that does nothing. None of the support people have been able to explain how we can text and surf the web inside our apartment, but can't get calls. I have rebooted the phone many times, removed and replaced the sim cards, gone outside, about a block or so away from my house and managed to dial *228 and actually activate the phone and update the roaming...to no avail. At this point, since we can't even use these phones, we are going to start looking at leaving straight talk and going to a real carrier who gives a hoot about it's customers. Tons of reviews indicate this is an ongoing problem with this phone, but nothing is being done to resolve it. Can't believe my old Huawei non-smart phone works better than this so-called 'smart' phone.

    waste of money and time
    The phone did not work for the last 3 months in paid for service spent 5-6 hours. A day blithely costumer service. And they refuse to reimburse me. I'm done neither straight talk. I've been a customer since the beginning and never had so so Manny problems with service

    Horrible phone, horrible customer service
    Got this phone for my birthday, July 17th, I activated it the following day and since then I have not been able to make or receive calls or text messages even though it says I have service. I have spent at least 10-15 HOURS talking to straight talks customer service. They had me factory reset my phone a dozen times, sent a new SIM card that didn't work, sent me a new phone that didn't work, and they just sent another SIM card that isn't working. This phone is absolutely horrible they should pull it off the shelves, I'm going on three months without a phone and it's ridiculous!

    Taking back today! Worthless!!
    Surprised that I'm online now. Have the same problems in central illinois as mollylinda in New York. No reception 99% of the time. Spent countless calls with "customer service" to figure out why I couldn't make or receive calls. Diagnosed as a connection problem, must have 3 bars or calls go directly to VM without notice unless a VM is left. Pointless to have a so-called phone that I'm unable to use inside my own home or as I travel. If this is Verizon coverage I'm OUT!

    This is my third Straight Talk phone and the best. Fast internet, front and rear camera is nice. Being able to talk instead of manual text was a bonus! Better reception than my previous two phones. I have owned it for just over two weeks now and am very pleased with it.

    I am extremely disappointed by this phone!
    It did NOT work for me! I looked at this phone on-line by both Straighttalk itself & Walmart. It's the same price both places $79. But there are no regular peoples reviews; only one I found was a professional phone reviewer reviews of it. They said it was good & said it was one of the only Alcatel line that runs off Verizon phone towers. I bought it from Straighttalk cause of that,the price & the free overnight shipping they were offering! The things wrong with it are legion! 1.It does NOT recive a signal in my home or my office unlike several other phones I have had on Verizon towers so I believe it does NOT operate off Verizon towers. 2. It does NOT receive or send texts because it rarely gets the needed signals for same. 3. Advertized as 4G it's not as per the phone itself-it is a 3 G. Hence I will be returning it to get a better phone that will make & recive texts & has more signals! For those that are considering it at least in my area of NY DON'T buy it!
