    Does not cut grass
    Maybe I received a defective one but it does not cut the grass. I have to go over the same spot 3 to 4 times before seeing any sign of it cut. The only thing that ends up in the gas catcher attachment is leaves and small twigs and barely any sign of grass. I do not recommend this product.

    It is good for a small lawn area . Definitely first cut with large grass , but it will be smooth for next runs . And one last thing it is a good workout machine , no noise pollution , so it is recommended.

    not efficient.
    I bought this product because it is eco friendly. it's really hard to mow the grass with. it gets the grass stuck between the blades and stops it from moving. we have to clean it every 5 minutes, I am not exaggerating.

    A Good Value for the Price but Some Limitations
    The instructions were super easy to understand. The mower was easy to assemble. The bag is worthless. The blades were not as sharp as I expected they would be. For example, it will not efficiently chop off dandelion flower stems and leaves behind patches where the grass is taller. Thus, you have to go back over those areas several times from opposite directions. Otherwise, when grass is of average height for mowing, running the mower along at a stead speed, it does a fair job of cutting. Overall, I am pleased with the price and the exercise.

    Great little mower!
    This little mower is awesome! Perfect for just about everything! I have over an acre now I do use a riding mower, but bought this for the fenced in "dog yard" and all the trim work around trees and plants etc. Different height setting allow for that perfect cut. Cuts evenly and easily. Easy to push and of course saves on gas and the bulkiness of a gas push mower. I do however have to say the so called "bag" on this could use a different design as you do tend to kick it and it does fall off a good bit so I just use it without the bag. Other than that I have no issues. With that being said I definitely recommend this mower! I actually prefer it over the gas powered push mower we still have.

    works well but not perfect
    Grass catcher is a wretched design that doesn't work well. All the clippings collect directly behind the cutting reel instead of going to the back of the catcher so it clogs up immediately. Other than that it is machine the does what it is supposed to do quite well. It did the first cut of the year on the lawn and got the uneven grass to be a nice even lawn.

    A competent back up mower
    I own a gasoline powered lawn mower. My lawn is medium sized that is roughly evenly leveled. Half of the year my gasoline lawn mower is stored away. I needed a mower that I could use as a back up for when my gasoline mower is stored away. With the rotating blades appropriately adjusted along the bedknife the MJ501M cuts very well and evenly. I make sure that the lawn is not too tall and is clear of twigs. The grass catcher does not snap off, it does a good job of catching grass, a small percentage of grass does not land in the grass catcher. The MJ501M is lightweight easy to store and has done a good job of cutting my lawn. The MJ501M reel mower is a great back up mower, it has even drawn interest from some of my neighbors.
