Swingline Shredder
Royal makes a shredder for about $50.00 less that works five times better. Very difficult getting a standard size sheet in the machine just to start the shredding. Thought that Swingline would make a better machine.

    A shredder, but not a real 'auto' shredder
    At first glance, it seemed to be a great price/value. However, it doesn't perform consistently. The 'sheet feeder' often doesn't 'feed' meaning, rather than drop in the papers and let the machine do the work, I've had to pull out the papers and feed them individually. Since the feeder mechanism actually folds the papers as it feeds, it essentially doubles what is going through the shredding mechanism. So , if more papers come along with the sheet getting fed, it can cause a jam. You'll need to make sure the sheets are not tight - that is, fan through them after the staples are removed. If you want a genuine auto sheet feeder, this is not it. If you want a basic shredder, there are plenty of other less expensive options out in the marketplace.

    Works as advertised!
    Purchased this several weeks ago and have not been disappointed. The stacking feature is a little different than I imagined, but still works well. We had a backlog of shredding that would have taken months to do with our old shredder, but everything is caught up!

    I bought this for my husbands lawfirm...the product says that it shreds 100 pages...I couldn't shred more than 20...if that.

    DO NOT BUY!!!! WORST SHREDDER I HAVE EVER USED!!!
    So, I left a review on how speedy the delivery was...arrived in 1 day but had not yet tried this shredder. Well, now I have and it's GOING BACK! This shredder is the WORST I have ever had and 3 times the money! The thought of it being a top shredder that was supposed to shred up to 100 sheets of paper was the feature that appealed to me. Great idea but does not work...not even less paper! Additionally, it is sooooo slow, the manual feed is totally unresponsive and when it does work it's. very loud. Rollers are terrible as well. As I said, it's being returned and I would never recommend this shredder even if it was half its price!!!

    Surprisingly well built.
    Our medical office has patient information that is confidential. This crosscut shredder is far more secure than any strip cutting shredder. The size is perfect for our small office and handles the volume of daily documents easily. It has been running longer than two previous shredders, and has never jammed. PS. The design is so well thought out, you can't get your tie caught!

    Only for perfectly flat paper...
    The automatic feed seems to work only for perfectly flat 8.5 x 11 sheets. Mix in envelopes or folded paper and it just stops feeding. (never jammed). For the price I expected more. Went back to my old Fellows manual feed shredder which works faster and seems to shred more finely.

    100 sheet capacity shredder
    I have a lot of old papers I needed to shred and my old shredder just couldn't handle it. This one will take a stack of about 100 sheets, laying flat under the lid. Close the lid and it starts grinding. Occasionally the last few pages will get jammed, but just rewind then pull them out of the shredder and put them in from the top. Then you can load another stack. I have already unloaded several large bags of shredded paper. It was a little costly, but it works pretty good so far; and I'm pleased. I would recommend this to a friend.
