Nice concept, not so nice fit! Size down!
I purchased this skirt as I'm addicted to anything that resembles leather. I was so excited to come home and try it on! I'm 5'5”, 165 lbs, a true 12 in clothing. Once I put it on, my husband immediately said it looked like I was wearing a trash bag. I'm sure if I had bought the size 8/10, I would've had better results, but I was to dissatisfied to replicate this purchase. I had hoped it would be more fitting in the hips and legs but it was not figure flattering for my body type or taste. It comes below the knee, so it's not short. It has a belt and elastic waistband -and came above my bellybutton. I was ok with the length of the skirt and that it came above my bellybutton but was not ok with how much it stuck out around my legs. I think the elastic waist and belt is a cute addition if you're wearing a fitted shirt. You definitely can't beat the price If it actually fits you, so that's a plus. So in summary the concept of this skirt is nice but the fit was way off. If you want better results than I had, purchase 1 size down. Do not buy your normal size or you'll be very disappointed like me! I think I will try the Spankx leather skirt instead for a better result going forward. I decided to order these in a medium brown and large black to see which fit better. The medium was definitely a better fit. The skirt is cute but I have a momma pooch and the paper bag waist on these made me look huge from the side.
