Best Blower I have ever had
I love this blower, I have had it now for 7 months and it has run great. Prime and one start pull, let it idle for about 20 seconds just like the instructions say and it is ready to go. I use premium gas or regular gas with Sta-bil in it to get rid of any ethanol. Plenty of power, can't wait for leaf season with this bad boy in my arsenal. I wish I had got this blower the first time around.

Troy-Bilt # TB430, 2-Cycle Gas Leaf Blower
I, purchased this Troy-Bilt, # TB430, 2-Cycle Gas Leaf Blower - because of the Quality Brand Name it carries. -=- * This is Not My First Gas Leaf Blower that I've Owned !! -=- * This Leaf Blower is Hard to Start and Hard to Keep Running - When First Started Cold (It Keeps Dying) !! and Yes - I, Use Fresh Gasoline, with the Correct Oil Mixture !! and I, Have Followed All of the Instructions on How to Start this unit !! * It Takes A Long Time To Warm Up - So It Will Stay Running !! * Worst of All - That It Does Not Have the Power -/- Air Flow Volume it Should with the Ratings It Has !! * It Shows to have the Same Motor CC's and Air Flow Mass - of the Old Gas Blowers that I own !! * The Quality of This Gas Leaf Blower - Is Very Poor !!

    Get the extended warranty
Purchased 23MAY22. Recoil starter failure, 26SEP22. That's 125 days since purchase. I have used this approximately every two weeks since mid JUN, Today the recoil failed to recoil and when I took it to repair facility it's not covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Ill be glad to return it in TWO MORE YEARS using the extended warranty.

    TB430 Leaf Blower
I had a TB430 for 5 years and was great. Finally died, and was looking for a new blower. Read how the TB430 has starting issues after short time. I bought one anyway because my previous one was great for years. Well the recent reviews were right. I should never have bought another one. Worked fine for two weeks now can't even get it started. Very disappointed in it

    Won't Start
Got the TB430 from my brother-in-law. Saw him use it to blow leaves. Started okay and blew a bunch of leaves for about 30 minutes. Took a 30 minute break and then tried to start it. Wouldn't catch. Brought it home and started it. Ran rough and didn't respond to the throttle. Removed the carb and disassembled. Sprayed with carb cleaner and blew out the jets with compressed air. Almost started a few times but just wouldn't catch. Spark appears to be fine and gas is getting into the carb. Will try one more time. Hope it runs. If not, battery/electric is the way to go.

Great at first but did not last long
I've had my TB430 for 4 months. The first 5-6 times I used it to blow the grass off the driveway and sidewalks it was great. Now I can't get it to start after repeat attempts over several weeks. I bought it at the beginning of the summer, haven't even used it for leaves yet and can't get it to start. The last few times it did start, it only ran for a few minutes before shutting off.

    hard to start
i own alot of troybilt products this blower has been a little tough for me. Probably should of spent more on a better model, but don't use it much so decided to get the cheaper one, mistake i need to avoid. hard to start , idle is slow, not alot of power. seems cheaper to buy new one than try to find out whats wrong with it.

A good product to ahve around
I received this Troy-Bilt product free of charge in exchange for my unbiased opinion. I am not an employee of Troy-Bilt, its parent company, affiliates or subsidiaries. Unpacking was very easy. Assembly was not that easy though. Getting the tab on the Blower Outlet to align and click into the Upper Blower Tube slot was not an easy task since the fit was very tight. If it is supposed to be de-installed, I think that it will be difficult... Getting it started the first time was very difficult. I tried to start it at least 10 times over 3 days to eventually get it going. Once it started the first time, subsequent starts were fairly easy. I was disappointed that it did not come equipped with a JumpStart engine start port. I would suggest that Troy-Bilt consider modifying the air intake port and have it at the bottom of the blower. As a right handed person, the air intake port kept sucking my pant-leg into the intake port grate, significantly decreasing the air flow and the blowing capacity. My arms started to get tired after using this hand held blower for a while. I would suggest including a sling with the blower -- after all, there is and eye on the top of the unit for a sling to be clipped onto it... Over all, a good blower. Mixed bag but a Good Blower overall.
"I have reviewed this product as part of Troy-Bilt's Beta Team Program. I received this Troy-Bilt product free of charge in exchange for my unbiased opinion. I am not an employee of Troy-Bilt, its parent company, affiliates or subsidiaries." Now with that said, let's get into this machine. First of all, THANK YOU to the Trot-Bilt designers who finally put the METAL base under the engine and gas tank for the unit to rest on while you are starting it, resting it, or just storing it. As simple an idea as this is, this will extend the life of the blower and its' components. Out of the box, it is easy to put together and the instructions are simple enough for 10 year old to follow. I do recommend you use the premixed fuel. I know it is salty, but in terms ease of use (no mixing fuel and oil and no separate cans), I have found that 2 cycles run cleaner and cooler with the premixed fuel. I have used the TB430 for all kinds blower jobs: leaves, stones, dirt, trash and snow. The long nozzle is a big plus for people like me who have back problems and have a hard time bending for any length off time. The machine is very well balanced considering the metal rest that I previously mentioned. It is light weight and easy to maneuver. And after SEVERAL uses, it is fairly easy to start. So let's touch on that subject. Out of the box, if you follow the instructions, be prepared to get a sore arm. Mine was just stubborn and did not want to start. I have owned numerous 2 and 4 cycle tools and this by far was the hardest I had to start. And it took several minutes for the engine to reach operating rpms. I was definitely not use to waiting for the warm up. But I have learned that during this warm up, if you have an area that needs "blown", but delicately, this is the time to use it. I am guessing that I have used this unit for probably 30 different jobs since I got it in late November 2015. The starts have gotten much better, but it still has its warm up period. Restarting it is easy; one or two pulls is all it takes. Another negative is the position of the air intake. If you are right handed, like I am, the air intake is right next to your right leg and is so strong that if you have a loose jacket or baggy pants on, they will get sucked into the intake guard. You'll hear the engine rev up and you'll feel the tug on your clothes. The first time it happens, it will take you by surprise. later on, it just becomes an inconvenience until you decide to change clothes. I can't recommend where they could have moved it, but I think they could have atleast put a shroud on it to draw air from the bottom. Overall, I do like this blower. It handles all tasks that I have used it for. Leaves, dry dirt and stones are blown away with no issues. Dry snow is also easily moved and it even moved slightly wet snow. So it does to a good job. The negative sides of the starting process and the air intake pretty much balance everything out. That is why I call it a GOOD blower and not a GREAT one. It is a good value and it should last a long time. There is no skimp on quality on the parts that Troy-Bilt put into the TB430.

    reliable and efficient
I purchased this leaf blower about 5 or 6 years ago and it is still running good. It has a commercial grade engine. I have never had any problems starting it if you follow the directions. Over time, the carburetor screws to control rich & lean gas mixture may need adjustment, but this is something the customer can do. I have found it to be a reliable and easy to use hand-held leaf blower for small to medium jobs and I would recommend it to anyone.

    Worse Leaf Blower Ever!!!
Purchased this blower from my local home improvement store for the fall cleanup season. Put together and followed directions as far as fresh gas, oil, etc. Started and worked great the first time. Second and third times it started after about the 20th pull and started to lose power and cut off after about 15-20 mins of use. Returned hassle free to the store and exchanged for the same blower and the second one had the same problems. I took this one back as well and got a refund. Was very disappointed as my I have yet to have a problem with my 2 year old Troy Bilt string trimmer. Word to the wise...Save your time and money & spend a little extra for a better name brand leaf blower!!!!
