Great mower for small yards.
Great price and service from Walmart. Nice alternative to gas/electric. No grass clumps. Helps with allergies - no swirling grass / dirt. Cuts very well, able to cut grass shorter. Easy to push. Only con is that it would be great if it came in a 22 or 24 inch model.

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser02/10/2023Absolutely fabulous!Awesome! The delivery was faster than expected. It's not hard to assemble at all. Cuts like a dream. The only thing we have found is that the mower does not like pine cones. We missed a few, and it will let you know when it hits one. Love the gearing that makes the pushing so much easier than the old school reel mowers. We are completely satisfied with the mower and would highly recommend for anyone that want a little old school back in their life.Holli

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser07/22/2022Human Power at its Best!I purchased this mower to replace my rotary mower which is noisy and stirs up dust when I mow. I mow at least 3/4 acre of hilly and sloping terrain wit all types of grass (and weeds). I have kentucky bluegrass, zosyia, fescue, and rye. I also have a lot of oak and hickory trees. Mowing with this mower is great and I am almost 70. It pushes easier than my old rotary mower and cuts even the thick zosyia with ease. As stated by Fiskars, if the grass is extremely tall, the bar in the front will lay the grass down and the blade will not come in contact. I cut at least 6 inch tall grass and the mower did great. Small sticks are cut as well. Anything bigger than 1/4 inch may need to be picked up or just raise the front of the mower so that it passes over the stick and then pick it up and go over the spot again. I have mowed twice with it and am quite pleased. Will see how it does this fall with leaves.Debra

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser06/22/2022Great purchase Great ValueBest mower for small to medium yards. No gas or electricity and cuts very well. Easy to adjust height and satisfied with mowing our average sized yard. Hopefully the blades will be easy to sharpen in the future. No complaints. This is the so much better than the cheap manual mowers I've used in the past.Steven

3.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser05/30/2022Great mower, but not for tall grassGreat push mower, but does not cut tall grass, grass needs to be about as high or shorter than the mower, which for my purposes was totally useless.Krikor

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser08/25/2020So quiet, relatively easy to push on level ground. So far, 2 cuts in, we really like our new Fiskars mower. If we discover a problem, we'll come back and amend our review - but for many reasons, we really like it!renee

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser08/15/2020Its not hard to cut your yard!I really like the operation of this mower. The only thing you cant do is let the grass get too high. It will snag especially if you have thick zoysia grass like mine. If you cut more frequently it does just fine. Grooms the grass well. I really like the fact that no fuel required. You push, it cuts.Steve

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser05/19/2020It Really Does The Job!This method of mowing has many GREAT benefits. One, it's more productive than going to a gym. Secondly, you don't need to gas it up or do maintenance issues. I love itDCDPDM

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser03/05/2020Fiskars Quality In a LawnmowerI was happy to try out the Fiskars StaySharp Reel Mower with Adjustable Handles especially since i have vinyl skirting and my gas mower will kick up small stones so this was a safer option for me there. The lawnmower is mad out of steel and not something thinner/lighter so its a quality built push mower that should last a long time with little care. It was easy for my to attach the 3 part handle using my drill to tighten the included nuts and bolts. Lifting it out of the box itself was the hardest thing to do concerning this mower! Its 1 lever to lower and raise up the cutting level and the shield you can adjust so grass doesn`t come back at you. The only wrinkle for me is that this mower is really more suitable for someone whose lawn is already pretty short, although my grass is thick right now it couldnt cope with my higher grass -it just pushed it over so i had to keep going back & forth with this. So if your looking for a superior manual push mower to clip your lawn a couple of inches off the top this should work very well for you so id still highly recommend it. It certainly is comfortable to use.Mexico

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser03/04/2020GREAT FOR THE ENVIRONMENT - NO GAS AND NO NOISEFiskars StaySharp™ Max Reel Mower Assembly - I unpacked and laid everything out. This made it easy to picture how each part went together. The instructions were simple to read and follow. The adjustable handle was attached in no time. I hand-tightened the bolts first, then gave a half-turn with a small wrench. It was fixed to the mower and secured with clip pins. Next, all I needed to do was decide on the cut height and adjust the handle to suit me, the mower! Mowing Our Lawn - It was completely down to "push power" and took a bit of effort. Our lawn has some rough patches and tufted spots, but I was able to mow over them and cut close enough to our raised stepping stones for good clean edges. Grass Cuttings - I can direct where the cuttings go with the grass chute, either forwards away from my feet or backwards and down. I used this position when I hit those rougher patches. The Quick Tips Guide - It has great advice. Cut in long, straight lines. The cutting power also increases the faster you walk. Likes - Performs well, no noise, and great for the environment.HKGCITYGIRL

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser02/25/2020Does the Job!I was very pleased when the Spark team offered this reel mower by Fiskars for review. FIrst of all, Fiskars is a well known name with an excellent reputation. We have several of their hand trimmers and did not realize they also did mowers so that was a pleasant surprise. As far as this reel mower, I can't say enough! So glad to have a mower that does not use Gas. I hate the fumes. This mower is so well designed and has lots of good features. It was Very easy to put together. The handle is very comfortable to use and it is surprisingly easy to push... There is a height adjustment lever which is also easy to adjust from one to four inches, whatever your preference. It cuts Very well, the wheels are inset a bit so it did well cutting close to our front wall, less need for the trimmer later. Here in south Florida where we live, St Augustine grass is very common and it's very hardy but sometimes it can be hard to cut. This Fiskars has had No problem whatsoever with it. Love this, glad it doesn't need gas, it's easy to push and it does an excellent job! I highly recommend...valzem

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser02/23/2020Great eco-friendly sharp mowerMy husband and I actually really liked this new mower, especially the fact it does not need gas or electricity!! It just needs our force to push it accross the grass but it glides accross easily and does not get Tangled or stuck in any way with the weeds the blades are really sharp!! It has different height settings for your desired grass height cut. It was easy to use even for me I am petite , it was not too heavy and is saved me the effort and frustration of turning it on like our gas mower. It gave me a good workout and it was not too hard to push accross the grass! I even told my husband I would be happy to cut the lawn for him with this mower! It cuts the grass nicely and it has the option for you to choose wether you want the cut grass to come out to the front of the mower instead of the back of the mower so it won't fall on your shoes!!! I do wish however it somehow could pick up the cut grass to avoid picking it up at the end but if you want a workout this will be a great feature too, overall I couldn't have asked for a better lawn mower !Lizb

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser02/21/2020Next Gen Push MowerToday, I am reviewing the FISKARS StaySharp Max Reel Mower, which I received as a Spark Reviewer. It arrived well packed in a wickedly strong and substantial cardboard box. Weighing in at over 50 pounds, it's a good guess that this is built to last. This baby is made of metal, with very few parts made of plastic. I was impressed. Even better, all you have to do is attach the pieces for the handle – 3 pieces, and then attach the handle to the rig. It just clips in. It is so easy, but there is a toll free phone number, if you get stuck. It's right on the instruction booklet. Seriously, it takes longer to get my phone and call the gardener. It's got many nice features that are worth a look that set it above other mowers: 60% easier to push, nice padded handle, adjustable cut height, clippings diverter to send the cut grass away from your feet, to name a few. It's a money saver and good for the environment + you get a nice little workout. What's not to like? I would definitely recommend this to anyone that has a medium to small grassy area they want to maintain themselves.TechMinion
