5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser07/11/2021Onion SoupFor a real French onion soup I take the mix and do this: take 3 red or yellow (or both ) onions sliced very thin, then halved, sautéed in coconut oil until golden, a splash of vinegar, a pinch of sweetener, a tablespoon of flour stirred into the sautéed sliced onions for a cupla minutes, then add it all to the just now boiling soup pan of the Lipton Onion Soup and simmer for 20-30 minutes. It'll need a little more water than the recipe on the box so I have the water kettle also on simmer and add as needed (wing it on the viscosity) during (or after) the 20-30 minutes of simmering. Toast a cupla pieces (whatever fits your bowl) of French sourdough, brushed both sides with olive oil, lightly dusted with garlic powder, place the toast on top of the soup mixture in the bowl, top with shredded cheese of your choice, take your blowtorch for soldering copper pipe, blast the cheese till it melts making sure you don't burn the toast, then enjoy a great bowl of French Onion Soup.mrmacor

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser12/05/2015Maked incredible Meatloaf!I always have this Lipton Recipe serets Beefy Onion soup and dip mix on hand. We do not use it for soup or dip but instead I use it in my meatloaf along with 1 pound of ground beef or beef/pork mix, 2 eggs and a cup of bread crumbs or panko crums and 1/2 cup milk and ketchup/barbeque sauce topping. It makes the old hum drum boring meatloaf delicious. Even my kids love the meatloaf and that says a lot. I also use it on potatoe wedges with a little olive oil and I guarantee they will be your new favorite potatoe recipe. So many great uses out of one little packet. Definitely worth tryinging. It has become a regular staple in my house.klyle78
