Works Like A Dream!
Got this to replace an older model that died. The instructions were easy to follow and set-up was a breeze. Been working great since the first day. My only caution would be this model uses the "tiles" version of Windows, so there may be a learning curve if it's for an older user (like my husband, LOL). It took him a few days to get used to the new desktop, but now he loves it. Good value for the money.

DO NOT BUY THIS IF YOU WANT TO UPGRADE TO WINDOWS 10!!!!!!
Ever since my upgrade to 10, I have not been able to consistently have wifi. I've updated/replaced the drivers and still no solution. I am running my wireless off of an old Linksys AE2500 usb adapter. This piece is only a few months old and I am really considering scrapping it.

    Dis some dank dope
Dis computa c'n play gamez 'n' stuff. I' eve' comes wit chya ow' personal assisstant, who c'n do math fo you. Wu' thang I wish she cou' do is turn off ma computa. Now, dat wou' be dank. Putting all humor aside, this computer will serve you quite well. It has many exemplary features, such as Cortana, whom I forementioned, and can handle many processes at once without overheating or having a panic attack. 10/10-IGN, would buy again (if I was rich :'( )

    Fast computer but not spectacular
A budget conscious choice that filled the role of a connected device, and one the was there when I had the unexpected chore of replacing four year old box that just didn't work anymore. DVD read/write drive is a plus and so is the built-in SD card reader along with a fair amount of USB ports. My only major issue is that even though I can connect an HDMI enabled monitor, the OEM video card that doesn't seem to allow for scaling of my desktop to fit my screen - edge-dependent tools and features are barely visible as they are cut off by about a 7% overscan that I cannot correct.

    Dell Inspiron 3000
If you're looking for a cheap well-built home computer look no further. This computer has 4GB RAM and a 500GB hard drive. This is allows it to process at an extremely fast speed and store thousands of items on the hard drive. With a 500GB hard drive you will have a hard time ever filling the space.

    Disappointing
Windows 8.1 is a big improvement on its immediate predecessor. I downgraded to the 3646 as my usage is really limited to Word Processing (most of my time), email and internet brousing. However, I am very disappointed that, each time I switch off, the Inspiron takes as long as one hour to reboot. Very frustrating. The answer is to simply "sleep" but surely one should switch off from time to time?

    My experience with Inspiron 3646
I bought this computer to use for an at Home Business. It has not been quite a month yet but so far so good. I am still in the training mode with the at Home Business but I do expect Dell to give me a good experience so that I can be successful with the business.

    decent computer for price
the dell inspiron 3646 is a decent computer for the amount of money spent ive had mine on for 20 - 24 hours a day for eleven months straight and the only problems so far are windows errors and crashes from dodgy updates not related to dell in anyway so to sum up the inspiron 3646 is great but windows 8.1 not so much

    Computer fine but McAffee terrible
I bought this desktop to replace an older Dell that was just so.. so slow. Booted up rapidly but after a few days the malware was driving me crazy. I had decided to use the McAfee that came free for a month. McAfee said that I was protected but I had all sorts of malware and viruses after just a few days. Finally had to have a Dell tech work on the computer for about 3 hours to clean it up. Now I have my IP antivirus program protecting it and it works fine. DO NOT use McAfee. It was useless.
