Cheap, but ineffective
Thought this would be a good alternative for the speakers on TVs in my kid's rooms. The sound is just OK, not good. I understand it couldn't be 100% wireless, but 3 wires doesn't equal wireless to me. The power cord necessity is obvious, but it's about 12 feet long with a huge adapter box in the middle. The sub needs a wire, but should have been Bluetooth to make it closer to wireless. Then I had to have an audio cable because even though I have a Samsung smart TV that is 1 year old, the two units won't talk to each other via Bluetooth. The TV remote will also not control the soundbar so I now have 2 remotes to keep up with as well. There is a recess for the power and audio inputs in the back to help with the cables, but it only faces down so the cable that needs to go up is squished. Overall, I'm not happy with it. It's only in my kid's room so it's not that big of a deal, but I expected more from Samsung.

Kinda ruined the surprise! Good sound at a good price. I purchased this because my husband complained that he could not hear the tv. Seems to have fixed the issue for him.Jacee7991

The unit was easy to set up and came with an audio optical cable and Hardware to mount the sound bar under the TV to the wall. This sound bar does not have an HDMI connection, so I couldn't connect to either my Comcast cable box or the TV I was using. Fortunately I had another TV with a headphone jack that enabled me to connect to the soundbar. This was AFTER I ordered an HDMI to optical converter from Amazon that I couldn't use. All of which is no fault of the unit. Sounds great...highly recommended IF you have the appropriate connections.SABOTEURw

Not much difference if you're watching the news or a talk show, but a huge improvement with music or movies. Stereo separation and bass response are extraordinary from such a small inexpensive unit. Bluetooth allows you to play other devices through it. It's good enough to serve as your main stereo system unless you're a perfectionist. Quite a bargain.litlejohn

This item works perfectly for the limited space I have to work with. The only issue I had was setting it up; my new smart TV doesn't have Bluetooth and the digital audio cable provided didn't produce any sound. I went to an electronics store and they recommended an audio cable identical to the free one that came with it. Luckily I found an analog audio cable on Walmart.com that solved the problem.TomB

It does not really help with increasing the audibility of the voice in shows especially shows that have whispered talk and lots of background music. I wanted to amplify the voice and the VOICE and NIGHTTIME features help with that but not enough for me to be able to lower the volume on the TV.KC660
