Arrived damaged during shipping
The Vizio product is fine: great features at a terrific price, as long as the TV does not arrived damaged! Fedex Ground delivered the TV to my home and upon inspection, there was a large crack in the screen which matched an apparent penetrating strike to the outer box and the product box. I returned the TV to my local Sam's Club for a refund with no issues. This was my first electronics purchase of this kind online and will be my last.

    Looks great but sound is not.
    It did an update and almost all the apps stopped working so i had to restore to factory and redo everything and stop auto updates. The tv picture is great. The sound is not good. I have to turn it up to 56 and my old Vizio was literally 30 at the highest. Some tv stations I have to max out the volume just to barely hear it. I can't afford the soundbar to add to it. I think that's why they made the sound bad so you would be forced to buy a sound bar.

    Do not buy this tv unless you want to become good friends with the people at the Vizio customer support center. I have had 3 tvs in 6 months (3 brand new replacements) and have had nothing but problems. I just returned my last tv and got a refund to move on to another brand. 1st tv had large burn marks on it after 1 month of use. They were not burns from leaving channels on too long or games paused, just large burn marks that can be seen on every channel. As you can see below how spotty the screen is. The second one turned completely pink. The third screen had 2 large shadows down the middle of the screen and more burn marks. do not even wast your time on this model. Also, i purchased the 2 year protection from walmart and never got me money back for that. so basically, I got 3 faulty tv's and lost $40 on the protection program.

    Arrived damaged on Day 1
    Unfortunately, I'll be returning this item back to Walmart and I just received my shipment today. I had read a few reviews on cracked screens upon shipment and I was hoping that I wouldn't have that issue. The box did not appear to have any damage and there was no reason to suspect it as the TV seemed well insulated in the box. It will be a hassle, but I do not wish to try it again based on other similar reviews. I will be heading straight to the store and just picking up a slightly smaller version that is brand new and not refurbished.

    Picture is clear and the sound is good. Also, in order for me to get my Netflix to work, make sure that you have enough Internet speed. If you have enough speed and still not getting Netflix or the other programs, please contact Vizio in order to upgrade tv programming because you don't know how long the tv has been sitting in the box. I was informed by Netflix, who gave me customer service number for Vizio that Vizio upgrades there programming on their tvs every so often. Vizio upgraded our tv and now our Netflix and other smart channels work.

    Almost perfect...
    Great TV, this is my second Vizio and have always been satisfied. Was delivered quickly and it looks great. 3 HDMI inputs, built in wireless, sound is better than previous models. Very happy. The reasons it didn't get five stars: Built in app selection is limited, no HBOgo for instance or support for SlingTv. Apps also take a long time to load and are slow to navigate through compared to a Roku or Xbox. That said it's nice to have them at all and at this price it's all bonus. The color depth also isn't amazing, fiddling with the picture presets helps, I find "calibrated" to be the best setting but if you don't adjust this setting, streaming video quality doesn't look great, but adjusting the settings gets you 90% there. All in all very happy with the tv, criticisms are minor. Would purchase again and recommend to a friend.

    I have 3 Vizio's at home and they work great. Two of them are of course HD 60Hz and the third one HD 120Hz. I needed one for the living room because an LG stopped working. So, when I saw this Vizio for $398 I didn't hesitate to buy it, specially when the descriptions are 1080p 120 Hz. To my opinion it 's a disappointment! I'm not a high tech guy but my first two Vizio's that are 5 years old are 60Hz and the resolution looks much better compare to this 120Hz TV. Why? the third Vizio I got it's a 120Hz and you can see the resolution difference, which I can't see with this one. The reason I put it as no recommendation is because of the difference I see with the resolution compare to the other three Vizio's TV, but if you're looking for a flat cheap TV, then YES it if should be OK. Beside's , to me as of now Vizio makes good lasting TV's. No issues with my previous three, hope the same for this one!

    GREAT 50" TV for under $400! Smart features allow wireless internet access. Optical audio output hooks up to soundbar. Picture is crystal clear, all hook ups are self explanatory and easy. Mine is in a built in entertainment center, but wall mount looks easy as well and input/outputs are oriented to allow flush mount if desired. Purchased online and picked up in store, couldn't have been easier. I would DEFINATELY recommend this TV to anyone looking for a high performance TV at a bargain TV price !
