Died after 2 years. Warrantee is only 1 year
Mine worked as intended for about 1 year. On the second year it started having issues (did not cool enough) and I kept having to reset it several times per day to get it to cool. Finally at the end of the second year it simply shut off one day and refuses to turn on. I checked the warrantee and it only covers one year. I should have known better...

    Easy installation. The slider used in the window is a little flimsy. Using in upstairs bedroom and so far it cools the room quickly. Only used for one week. So far so good.

    Great unit but not packed good for shipping
    I bought 3 of these. One didn't work at all, just kept saying the tank was full despite repeatedly trying to empty the empty tank. One was very noisy and made a sick type of noise. One worked perfectly and is amazing. This is a five star product when it works as it's supposed to, the problem is the way they are packed and shipped ends up damaging many of the units. I would recommend the product to a friend, but I think you need to buy it in store.

    Cold air 15 minutes after opening the box! I Recommend a couple of feet of 3/8" foam weatherstripping to wrap around the expanding plate that fits into window for exhaust air. I paid $.88 for that from the hardware department at Walmart. REMEMBER IF YOU LAY THE UNIT DOWN TO TRANSPORT, IT MUST REMAIN UPRIGHT FOR 24 HOURS BEFORE USING, to let the oil drain back into compressor.

    The product worked fine. Not as happy with the venting system. The extensions that fit in the window don't allow for the vent piece to be close to the bottom of the window but half way up. A bit awkward. WalMart remiss in the packging or repacking of this item. I was never sent the remote or any instructions or schimatic of the instrument panel.

    I live in Arizona, I have one room that's always hot no matter what my central a/c setting is at. I bought this unit for that room . I let it run for for 2 days straight and the room never cooled down. I will be returning this.

    So far so good!
    I bought this unit for my bedroom (300 sq. feet) because our apartment only has a heater. A window unit was unfortunately not an option because our windows are vertical/tilt. I haven't gotten a chance to get a piece of plastic cut for the hose to put in my window to keep the hot air out. So I literally just closed my window as much as I could with the hose sticking out and rolled the blinds down much as possible. It isn't the best method to keep the room insulated, however, it goes to show how powerful the unit is because my room gets cold! We leave all of the doors open in the apartment and the entire apartment (750 sq feet) gets cooled. Our bedroom is obviously the coolest, but I am impressed how powerful this thing is! It is fairly loud, however it doesn't bother me. We placed the unit on top of a sturdy chair because it blows air from the front and we really wouldn't be able to feel it if the ac unit were sitting on the ground. Overall, I am beyond happy with our purchase of this unit so far!

    Good Quality
    After reading many reviews I decided on the Honeywell brand as most people liked it. I bought it in preparation for the 100 degree plus summer weather. I installed it a few days ago and have used it only twice, but then it is only June. With this brief usage I don't know if there will be anything to complain about. That is why I gave it 4 stars. Right now I would say it is a great unit, easy to use, quiet, and cools the room quickly. With this air conditioner I anticipate a most comfortable summer as there will be many scorching temperatures.
