My twin grandsons immediately took to this on Christmas morning. Of course they have not figured out how to get the pegs in the holes yet (they are 1) but they sure loved the bucket full of blocks!

Perfect Gift!
My son loves these blocks!
I recently purchased these blocks for my 7 1/2 month old son (since he can now sit up and play on the floor), and he just has the best time with them! He's still a little too young to understand the concept of how the different shapes fit into their respective holes on the lid, but he loves to dump the blocks out and scatter them all around...and chew on them, of course! Also, I noticed in some other reviews that people commented on how the lid doesn't snap on, but this seems to be intentional so that it can be easily removed by the baby themselves after they've filled the bucket. Great product!
Great gift for grandson!
I purchased these blocks for my 7 month old grandson. I'm so glad I did! He loved them & played with them more than any other gift he received. I had read the reviews where some people didn't like the fact that the lid didn't snap on tightly & was easily removed. That didn't seem to be a problem as he enjoyed removing the lid as part of his play. He hasn't figured out the idea of inserting the pieces into the correct holes yet, but he certainly enjoys dumping them, holding them & banging them together. The colors are bright & fun, the entire toy is solid yet light enough for him to handle. And it's Fisher-Price, a great product at an awesome price. A must have for beginning toys as far as this grandma is concerned!
Great toy, the baby likes it!
I bought this for my 7 month old. He enjoys playing with the pieces, even if he's not quite gotten the hang of placing the appropriate shapes into the corresponding openings. This toy serves multiple purposes, from developing coordination and spatial recognition to learning colors and shapes. When I play with my baby and this toy, I show him the shape and explain the shape and color to him so he can begin to understand. The toy is a nice size, not too big, but holds all the pieces nicely. Some reviewers have complained that the lid does not snap on the lower container, but that's so the baby can remove the lid to empty the container and play again. If the baby wants to play with just the yellow lid and not place the shapes into the holes, who cares? The baby is learning to play their way and they're having fun.
Great first blocks
Great first blocks for your baby. I liked that my daughter could squeeze them and I could clean them easily.
FP Baby's first blocks
Grandkids love this... they learn motor skills picking up the blocks & learn where they are supposed to go & which shape fits in the correct places.. it's hours of fun... opening & closing the lid...
Every child needs this
These blocks have bright colors and interesting shapes, my son is 9 months and doesn't grasp putting the the blocks in the hole just yet, however he loves the blocks. My only complaint is that the lid does not "snap" on, not even a little bit, it just sits on top of the box.
Great set of blocks
My 22 month-old son LOVES this shape sorter. Other sorters have the holes for the shapes on all sides of the box or whatever you put the blocks in, making it difficult for little ones to figure out where to put the shapes. However this one is perfect for kids just starting to learn their shapes because you can see all the holes that they put the blocks in on the top, making it easier to sort correctly. The only con about this is that the lid comes off too easily. My son likes to stick his hand in the holes after he's put the blocks through to try to get them, and as soon as he puts his hand in, the lid comes off. It's very convenient that it has two of each shape. My son likes to lose his shapes, so more than one of each shape is convenient. The carry handle is nice, too, especially for a little tyke like mine who enjoys carrying things around. I would definitely recommend this as a basic shape sorter for little ones.
basic shape sorter
my 12month old loves this. it's one of her most basic toys but she likes it just as much as anything else. she doesn't get it right most times but she sure does get excited when she does. the lid is really easy to take off. it basically just sits on there, so that is kinda nice because my lo can take it off easily herself to get the shapes out of the inside. i like that it doesn't have any sharp corners on it since she still falls alot etc. the shapes will not hurt if thrown at anyone because they are fairly light weight. love that it's all plastic so it's easy to clean. the only thing is the shapes are hollow on each end and i wish they were solid. but basically this is the safest and easiest to use shape sorter i've seen on the market. it's also the cheapest i've found. i would buy it all over again.
Bought as a baby shower gift
Bought for previous baby gift & buying again as they liked it
