Just amazing
Wow. I mean, seriously, wow. This is one incredible monitor. My last monitor was a 4ms response time and this one is 1ms. 19 inch to 28 inch. I won't even get into the 4K part. This is like watching a high end television but on a smaller scale. Just incredible. A ton of options from the on-screen menu allow you to tune in this monitor to whatever suits your viewing style along with several pre-programmed settings. The sound is sufficient if you want to keep the volume down but let's be honest, if you're buying a monitor like this you are not concerned with whatever speakers come in it or if it even has any at all. Clear motion, makes even a laptop look great. 2 standard HDMI 2.0 ports on the back plus the DP cable and headphones out. Just an amazing looking screen that is gigantic to boot.

Good Hi-Def monitor, not just for gamers
I had never had experience with a gaming monitor, so of course I was happy to review this Acer 28" high-definition monitor. First of all, the negatives: (1) The “User Guide” was somewhat sparse; it should have had more specific information as to the cables required (see next section). (2) Although the attachment of the monitor to the stand was simple, connection to the computer was not. The only cable that came with the monitor was a Display Port cable. Since my computer did not have that type of a connection, it required me to purchase additional cables in order for me to actually connect to my computer. This prevented usage of the monitor until a separate trip to the store to obtain the (somewhat expensive) cables made the connection complete. A VGA or a standard HDMI cable would have been most helpful and convenient if the cables were included with the monitor, even at a slight additional cost. (3) Once connected, I had an issue with the angle of the monitor, in that it was tilted so that the top was leaning forward (towards me) and the bottom was leaning back (away from me). I attempted to even out the angle but found that there was no adjustment mechanism, so it was necessary to insert a thin wedge under the front legs of the stand to raise it. (4) The plastic tripod stand seems somewhat wobbly and not substantial enough to hold a monitor of this size. I will likely be replacing the stand in the future because since the monitor is leaning slightly (and is therefore top-heavy), it tipped forward on me while I was attempting to locate an adjustment for the view angle. This was because the stand has only three narrow legs, neither of which provide support perpendicular to the front of the monitor. Now, as to the positives: (1) The clarity and brightness of its picture rivals that of any HD television. (2) The graphics are sharp and vivid. (3) Fine detail appears crisp and clear instead of blurred and muddy, such as when zooming in on a closeup of a satellite map, or panning across the audience in a concert video. (4) Working with text is much easier as the letters are sharp and defined. (5) This monitor is much easier on my eyes, as I did not have to strain so hard to read the text or interpret images. (6) The power switch and controls are conveniently located on the bottom right corner of the front of the monitor. Overall, this monitor provides an outstandingly sharp image, good for gamers, writers, or anyone who concentrates on their screen, and for this, I would have happily given it five stars. However, because of the lack of cables, lack of view adjustment and somewhat unsteady stand, I had to deduct one star. Nevertheless, I would still recommend it.

    OUTSTANDING graphics
    I must begin my review with a disclosure, I'm not a "gamer" but my husband and brother most definitely are. The screen on the Acer 4K is huge! Actually I would have preferred connecting to my laptop and use for PC purposes but that wasn't happening. . Set up was super easy, HMDI 1 & 2 slots a VGA slot. Once connected you could not miss the crisp and vibrant colors. He connected the Acer monitor to his PS4 and between playing Football and Fortnite, they were occupied in his man area for hours. I highly recommend this monitor for a variety of uses. It has excellent picture quality and graphics for the gaming people, and it is also beyond excellent for us non-gaming types. Non gamers will appreciate the large, crisp screen for completing computer work without eye strain or streaming shows while in your own personal space.

    Lifelike...
    Things look so lifelike on this screen it's amazing. My kids love playing their games on this monitor. We have not reached the 4K level yet but, it is awesome. Easy to set up and adjustable. The biggest monitor I have ever owned and it is great to have several windows open at once and be able to see what is on each one. Playing a game or just streaming a movie is 100x better. Comfy view, flicker less, and has blue light shield. Very happy with this monitor.

    Wonderful monitor!
    This is a very nice monitor, the colors are crystal clear and no dead pixels straight out of the box. You need to make sure you have the correct connectors considering this has only 2 HDMI and 1 DP connections on the back, this monitor has NO VGA or DVI connectors on it, so unless you have a relatively new video card you might not be able to use this monitor. Responsiveness wasn't what I expected, 60htz (Hertz) while using Full 4K resolution settings. I was surprised at the brightness when first turned on. It is great for viewing movies and videos. Speakers left much more to be desired, sounded like a 1945 radio. But you can turn these speakers off. Very easy to install, Windows 10 recognized it straight out of the box and set the resolution to max without having to do anything, which was a huge plus in my book! Very light weight, and simple to assemble the base just a snap and a screw that has a tab so you don't need a screwdriver! Very nice IMO! Comes with a power and DP cable, they are a little short but satisfactory. Extra sharp picture that makes it much easier to notice small things while gaming. Max res is 3840x2160, which gives amazing detail in shooter type games like Overwatch! Monitor has a blue light setting which would be excellent for those that use the computer a lot making it easier on your eyes. Last thing to mention this monitor can be mounted on a wall or arm. Only down side I honestly could find is the lack of DVI or VGA connectors for older video cards, which I'm sure a lot of people don't necessarily want to upgrade their computer just to get a bigger monitor. It's also about twice as thick as my old 26" monitor, which is surprising. It's still a very thin monitor considering, I just didn't expect it.

    This monitor is big, bright as life, and clear. It is easy to connect to new and older computers when the user purchases a dual connector cord. There are connectors sold with one end for this monitor that is DP and the other end connector for the computer that is DVI, HDMI or VGA, as they used to be. They are sold for less than $10. The newer DP to DP cord comes with this monitor. So, this monitor can be connected to my 15yr. old laptop or older pc. My five-year-old Acer pc already had the right DP connector. The power cord is five feet long and the DP (display port) connector cord is four and a half feet. There are also two HDMI ports. The screen size is 26 in. long, 15 in. tall, and 28 in. diagonally, but 30 in. including the frame. The back is not totally flat and the center of it protrudes. There are four threaded holes to connect to a VESA wall mount. On the lower right corner, there are six narrow, long function buttons and one very small power on-off button. The 4K UHD (3840 x 2160 pixels) has much more depth than 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. The graphics card on the computer can be upgraded to get the most frame rate of the game out of the FreeSync technology. With two watts per each speaker, the two speakers are worth using because of the low energy usage. Though the TN (twisted nematic) monitor is a lower cost LCD panel keeping the monitor cost low, TN has the faster response rate of 1 ms. The vibrant colors and razor-sharp aspect provide a clear, fresh image without any distortion when there is motion. The picture is crystal clear and does not jump which allows ease in focusing on the screen. Detail definition helps letters cause less eye strain when reading. Acer calls it “ComfyView display” because it does not flicker the screen. The brightness can be dimmed lower using function key 6 to adjust the brightness down. The size and shape of this monitor allows me to set up my 17in. Acer monitor next to it on my desk to use dual view with both monitors. This is a very nice monitor and looking at it makes my eyes feel good.

    Great speed and response time
    My daughter LOVES this Monitor! Fast set up. She thinks it's the best dedicated gaming monitor she has had. Nice size and still leaves room for her other monitors for her computer and TV. She said the speed and seamless screen changes are amazing and I love the blue light guard. We set this up a week ago and no glitches yet. Excellent picture quality. She's a happy camper. I'm happy I could give this nice reward to a good student !

    LOOKING FOR A GAMING MONITOR...HERE IT IS!!!!!
    The best gaming monitor you can get if you don't have a ton of cash. the viewing angles are great for the price point. Great graphics excellent for any type of gaming can even watch movies well. I tried games using this huge monitor and IT has a great response time with it. Built-in speakers are terrible. Switch over to your own system (I have 250 watts with sub-woofer) I built my system have a 10 core processor with a sound card and a high-end video card. My video card, of course, has an HDMI port on it. I'm able to get an average of 80 frames per second at 1080p the processor I'm using with it is a ryzen 5 2400 G.Over all this the best monitor I've ever had. I did check out how movies looked on this monitor and wow. From playing games to watching movies, heck using it for any reason this monitor is a must-have. I also paired this monitor with ACER predator cestus 320 GAMING MOUSE. The mouse has a great response and great feel to it. The photo I had taken of the game did not show well from the camera. Games look great on this monitor. Videos look great on this monitor . FOR THE PRICE, GREAT QUALITY, WORKING GREAT OUT OF THE BOX MONITOR. GOTTA LOVE IT!!!!

    Nice, sleek and easy setup. HDMI cord.
    This is a huge monitor. It took me longer to get it out of the box, than it did for me to set it up. There's literally 1 screw that joins the mount arm to the mount base. Then the mount arm slides snugly into the back of the monitor. There's a power cord of course. And there's another cord with 2 HDMI ends. I tired to use this monitor with my somewhat older computer that's close to 8 years old. My PC didn't have any HDMI ports. :( Nor did I have an adapter cord. So I had to use it with this newer model PC tower that my husband customized. It worked great for that one since it had the HDMI port. As far as the specs go, I don't know too much about those except there's like a billion colors and the refresh rate is 60 hz I think. My gaming husband says it's a super nice monitor but would be ideal at 120 hz. Either way, it's an extremely nice monitor.
