Worth the spurge!
I bought it as a spurge around the holidays, and now I buy it all of the time. Love the smell. Natural, not artificial scent. Packaging is simple and interesting.

Not worth the cost
The cleaning aspect of the liquid soap is very nice: lathers well and cleans well. The value for the size of bottle is terrible. There are other "luxury" brands of hand soaps w/ pleasant scents that cost half as much that I prefer. The scent is nice, not artificial, but not exceptional enough to cost $38 / 16 oz bottle. Aesop had done a marketing, hype job on the consumer

    This is a nice hand wash with a great scent. Uncomplicated and simple. Does what it says. A must-have if you want a beautiful bathroom. Really great hand wash that doesn't leave skin feeling irritated and and dry after repeated use. Lovely smell and the bottle is quite large, meaning it lasts for quite a long time

    The Best Hand Wash is from Aesop
    Aesop is synonymous with luxury. This hand wash is expensive but last many months. The price per pump makes it less than its inexpensive alternatives. The fragrance is quintessential Aesop- long lasting and very fragrant. This is the perfect house warming gift.

    Not worth the cost -- overhyped
    The foaming action and soap consistency rate a 5 with me. The scent is 4ish: nice, clean, not too sweet or feminine (I'm a female). The scent could be a bit stronger, but there are other scents I like much more. The cost rates a 3 or less. My favorite liquid hand soap is a French brand of a particular scent. It is out-of-stock everywhere I look online, and I decided to try the Aesop Resurrection. It's ok for a substitute, but not nearly worth the hype that everyone gives it.

    Meh. Not worth the hype.
    I was impressed that I could find Aesop at Walmart! The bottle looked sleek and nice on my countertop but was it and the soap inside worth $40? Nah. The orange/mandarin scent almost reminded me of the cleaner you might smell that is sometimes used to clean elevators in a public parking garage. I was hopeful for a more unique scent. Additionally, the first bottle I was anxiously awaiting made it all the way to be delivered before I got notice that it was being sent back due to damage. Theres no automaticity to re-send. You have to think to call Walmart, esp if youre not keeping close tabs, and go through the process of having them reorder. It was kind of a long wait for a bottle of expensive soap.
