Set up critical step
In order to get this tv to work you must push menu and scroll to channal scan to scan for available channels in your area. The instructions fail to mention this. Other than that issue, Good tv

It was adorable. First time I screwed extra antenna on, the rf disconnected from tuner inside. There should be something inside that held it from turning, when you put on ant, but either there wasn't one or it was missing .No ant means no signal. I bought warranty, but not going to deal with that over and over so I returned it. If not for that it was great. Maybe a lock bolt or something.

    I bought this tv due to the storm and having no power. when I set it up it worked just fine but in my house just like my regular tv you have to set in where you can good reception. I also had to use the antenna with the best reception.

    Hurricane Alley is my domain. We typically lose our power, leaving us without contact with the outside world. I purchased this TV because it is battery capable thus keeping me 'in touch' with up to date information 'visibly'. Four stars only because an outdoor antenna brings-in more channels than the supplied antennas. I am 'over-the-moon' with my purchase. I feel safer than in years preceding my purchase.

    Great picture; picks up a lot of channels in my opinion. Has all the accessories I need; comes with an extra antenna, a remote, an ac adapter and a stand. Also has a sticker you can attach to the stand and screw holes if you want to plant it permanently. Also has a car charger for the rechargeable battery.

    A QUICK PROFESSIONAL LOOK
    I am a retired engineer and may be more critical than most people. I live about 32 miles west of Chicago in the suburbs so reception is not the greatest. I bought a Leaf flat antenna (w/o amp) and reception was perfect. I also tried a Clear antenna with the same result. This will add about $20 - $40 to your cost. I mainly use it in the kitchen to watch the News (weather & road reports) while eating. It could also be used to monitor a second channel (mute the sound). It is amazing how far TV design has advanced. Setup is as easy as any TV. IT HAS A BEAUTIFUL PICTURE. The signal input receptacle (antenna connection) is buried in a hole in the case. This makes it difficult to attach various other antennae and cables. Raising it an 1/8 inch would make a huge improvement. I have not looked inside, but I suspect that the "speakers" are Peizoelectric disks like in your smoke detector. IT IS NOT SOMETHING YOU WANT TO LISTEN TO FOR LONG. I tried using my ear-buds and there was a great improvement. When I get more time, I intend to try external speaker(s). The idea of this set being "stereo" is a joke, although nowhere do they claim it is. ALL-IN-ALL, i AM VERY HAPPY WITH THIS TV. IT SERVES MY PURPOSE AND I KNOW HOW TO WORK AROUND ITS SHORTCOMINGS. GREAT VALUE FOR THE PRICE.
