You will no go back to a regular mop
The day I received my Bissell Powerforce Lift-Off Steam mop I had mopped my kitchen floor. It looked clean to me. So I filled up the tank with water on the steam mop and go over the floor. The water tank is easy to remove and replace. My floor was not as clean as it looked. The pad on the bottom showed there was more on my floor that the regular mop did not get up. My sister has a steam mop and was telling me about hers and I wanted one too ..now I see what she was talking about. Your floor is cleaner and the steam kills 99.9% of the germs it says. I believe it after I used it. Plus there are two attachments. One is a small round brush you can clean your counter tops, sinks, even microwaves and so much more. There is also a tool for cleaning grout. To get the hand held steamer off you just push a button and it pops right off and easy to get back on. It is not real heavy and easy to handle. The foot of the mop swipels and trianglular shaped so it gets into corners well. The cover on the mop pulls right off for washing and slips right back on real easy. I used it on my lament floors this morning. They look so clean and it is not like having to wait on a floor to dry with the steam they dry so fast. I really like that too.

DISAPPOINTED
I had wanted one of these steam mops for a long time so was really excited to try the Bissell PowerForce Lift Off. Unfortunately, I was disappointed in this item for the following reasons: It takes a while for the steam to even rise. The mop head would not fit around my toilet, which is between a wall and a cabinet. There didn't seem to be much steam, and the only place it steams is from the small middle of the mop head. No steam came out around the edges of the triangular mop head, which i thought it should have for a better clean. Also, the water holder is small so you do have to fill it up often. It came with one mop head, which was pretty dirty after only one room, the bath, which is smaller, and in fairness hadn't been cleaned in 2+ weeks. So, if you have a lot of rooms to clean, you should have many other heads on hand, at approximately $15 each. It does come with a small unit which attaches to the front of the unit so you can steam curtains or any other myriad of things upright. You do, however, need to slightly disassemble the unit while having to hold the handle with the water counter, upright and fairly level to steam curtains etc. After a while, this becomes cumbersome, heavy and tiring. Overall, it did a fairly clean job on the floors with no sticky residue, so shoes or feet weren't sticking to the floor. By the way, I figure you'd have to wash these by themselves but even using my "small wash" feature on my washer, it would still be a waste of Water, imagining all the times I'd be having to change the heads when doing the house cleaning. I think I'll just continue to use my old mop and bucket system. It's so much easier.

    Great for whole household
BISSELL PowerForce Steam Mop Hard Floor Cleaner, 2078 picked through the Wal-Mart Spark Review Program in exchange for my veracious opinion. For starters, the arrival of this product was speedy and putting it together was not hard at all. I let my husband but this one together though because I did not want to. We have hardwood floors so it can get a little expensive to clean but with young kids and dog, we needed something other than what we had been using. This little gadget is well worth it if you ask me. It is quiet when it cleans and for the most part, it gets the job done. It is light and small so makes storing when needed easy for our household. Something that is really simple and easy for the kids to use. Our youngest daughter chore is to clean the downstairs floors, which is where our hardwood floors are. This is so light she can easily clean the floors without needing any additional help. She can also pick it up and store it when she is done. The only downfall for me is the fact that the cord is not that long. Therefore, we tend to have to unplug and replug this item a lot. But overall, I highly recommend this product.

Does a great job and so easy to use!
The Bissell PowerForce Lift-off Steam mop Hard Floor Cleaner did a great job and was so easy to use! The assembly is super easy with the handle snapping into the top of the lift off steamer and with the nozzle of the cleaner snapping into the mop head. Before you use the steam mop, you are to wash and air dry the cleaning pad. Fill the water reservoir and snap it onto the mop. Plug it in and wait until the blue light lights up on the mop. Once it is lit, you can start cleaning. Hold the lever on the handle in to release the steam. It cleans very well, but I wish that it had either a smaller triangle shaped head or a rectangle shaped head because the large triangle doesn't get into corners as well as I would like. It does a great job cleaning otherwise and with the steam, I feel like it disinfects as well as picks up the dirt thoroughly. I also tried the hand held steamer. The hand held part of the steamer comes with a bristle head attachment so you can really get in there for a thorough clean. I would recommend this to others. As you can see in the attached pictures, it really picks up the dirt.

Suitable for quick and simple jobs
Overall I found this unit to be a good, all-around cleaning tool for simple jobs. It's compact and convenient enough to grab and go for quick mopping and sanitizing. With the click together Snap on, Snap off parts, it's ready to use right out of the box. The unit heats up quick, which really surprised me. As well, it does not build up condensate; the steam seems to be always ready and on demand as long as the unit is still plugged in to an electrical outlet. There is a knocking noise, but this is not due to condensation accumulation; rather, this is how the mop works internally and is so noted in the instruction manual. My favorite part about the steam mop is that the floors and mats are pretty much dry within a couple of seconds after swiping with this steam mop and it did an excellent job cleaning my dirty kitchen mat without the use of cleaning agents. A regular mop would leave floors wet for several minutes or more, and possible cleaning agent residue as well. Wow, the power cord is an incredible 16 feet in length! Besides a vacuum cleaner, I have never seen a power cord that long before on a tool like this and it is an extreme PLUS! Unfortunately, the small water tank only holds 10 ounces of water but it did seem to provide enough steam for about 10-15 minutes of continual use. Neither the mop handle nor the handheld unit has ON/OFF controls at the unit; in order to turn on or off, the User must plug/unplug from wall outlet (I'm not a Fan of this type of operation especially when the power cord could be up to 16 feet away from where the User is working). But just to clarify, there IS a trigger to press for steam but this does not actually turn the unit on or off. As far as the handheld unit, there is no small on-board compartment to store the bristle brush(es). The bristle brush is tiny, black and can easily get lost. Suggest adding a compartment to store additional small parts. This item came with only one bristle brush and it wore down quickly within the first day. Suggest providing at least three bristle brushes with this unit. Once disconnected from the main unit, the handheld unit will not sit up on its own and continues to fall to the side; this bothered me a lot. Suggest adding a kick-stand to the handheld unit. The handheld unit became heavy and cumbersome after extended use and it was too large to maneuver into tiny crevices like the back of the kitchen goose neck faucet. The handheld unit did not perform well at all in removing grease or hard water deposits, or anything else for that matter due to the minimal steam psi at the head. However, it did work nicely on stainless steel appliances with just enough steam to clean hand prints and slight greasy spots. My biggest DISLIKE was, when I called Bissell Customer Service, it is out-sourced to another Country and when asked to speak with the USA, or even a supervisor, they could not provide that service. Finally, after sending an email asking about the psi at the tip of the handheld unit, Bissell wrote back and said they have no information regarding steam psi (pounds per square inch). Due to this being a steam product, I believe that information should be included for someone like me who likes high pressure steam, or for nothing else as safety information for the consumer. 3 Stars.

    Easy to use!
This steamer is really convenient to use. It is lightweight, has a detachable hand-held steamer and a very long cord. I especially love the pivoting triangle shaped head because when using this on my vinyl kitchen floor, the head can swivel back and forth mimicking a scrubbing action. The triangle head allows me to get into corners where I couldn't before. The edge cleaning is especially impressive as the cloth comes up and around the edges of the steamer allowing better cleaning. The water tank is relatively small and only holds about 10 oz. water, although for my kitchen this was not a problem. The water tank comes off easily and the manufacturer recommends using distilled water to prolong the life of the steamer. The water filling hole is very small however, and using a funnel is recommended. The bottom of the cleaning cloth has a mesh slot to use Bissell scent tabs, that are available in stores, but does not come with this steamer. The detachable hand-held steamer comes off easily, but it is rather large. I was able to use this on the front of my microwave that had some grease spatter that I had not been able to remove with just general cleaning. I was pretty happy about that, however with the size of the hand-held steamer, my arm tired rather quickly from holding this unit up. The scrubbing brush that comes with this unit is not the best quality. After exerting some pressure while cleaning my cast iron stove grates, the brush was almost flattened out, but the grates looked great! I did check on the Bissell website and these attachments are available to purchase, for only $2.00 each. The Bissell website also carries the replacement cloths for about $12.00 each.

    My back thanks me!
It arrived in a box smaller than I had imagined, but it needed to be assembled. It was very easy to assemble seeing as all I had to do was snap in a couple pieces until I heard the click noise. It used a tiny amount of water and I was afraid of how many times I'd need to refill the tank again, but I cleaned the whole kitchen and it's not even half empty! This mop is light weight too. I was imagining a very heavy contraption, but this was easy peasy! I was a little surprised that I didn't see steam and that there was a thin layer of water on the floor after each swipe, but it dried up really fast. I like that the mop head is washable and can be reused, but you're not having to lean over and wrong out the mop head like on a regular mop you would have to. This item was given to me to use for free to give my opinion of it and it's use. Having used this item and seeing how easy and fast it was to do so I'm totally loving it! My back is thanking me a lot right now! I highly recommend this item to anyone contemplating buying one!

    Ok for little jobs
This is really a cute little steam mop, it's very lightweight, and I do mean little. That's the problem. The mop pad portion is actually quite large and the mop pad is nice and think with thick cleaning “fingers”. It does seem to do a decent job at basic mopping and steam cleaning so it does do its job BUT there's some pretty substantial cons also. The water resovior is tiny as you can see in the photo! Barely holds any water at all and I found I had to fill it several times just to do one room! Also the cord is very short in my opinion, I had to unplug and move to a different outlet more than once. It is able to get up basic messes off the floor but I had to go over a muddy pat print a couple times. If you plan on using this for small spaces with basic steam cleaning in mind then it does do a good job but larger spaces or plans on using it as an actual mop then no, it's just not practical for that use in my opinion.

    Does a Good Job
Easy to put together everything snaps in place. The washable mop head has a regular short string mop on one side and a scrub side on the other. Elastic around the edge is strong and is easy to take off. It is light and easy to use. The flexible ball on the steam mop makes it easy to rotate and clean. There is no on or off switch, plug it in and it starts, unplug to stop. Water tank is easy to remove and fill. It looks good and seems well made. Does come with a small brush attachment to steam counter tops and small areas. What I don't like is the size of the water tank. It is small. The shape of the steam head is triangle, which makes it easy to maneuver and clean corners. Seems to be made for floors without obstacles like my kitchen. Not good at all in the bathroom. I have a small bathroom and it is to big to clean around the sink and toilet. This needs another attachment head smaller for small areas.

    Power Gadget
If you are on the hunt for a gadget that will satisfy your need for a steam-clean floors, this is it. I am so glad I got it. From set-up to clean-up, it makes life so much easier and fun. I used to hate mopping my floors because I have to do it over and over until I get my desired results. With this product, it does a top-knotch job. It lifts off even the stubborn pet hair and all the dirt that even my eyes can't see. I have 2 cats and a dog and this product is guaranteed to help you in a huge way. The pad is machine-washable too so that makes it even better than disposables. I have tried different kinds of mop but this one is the best so far. From the first use, you can see how much it lifts off of your floor by looking at the pad even after sweeping your floors.
