Magic tint to darken windows
Magic tint was not too hard to put on. I followed the inserted instructions and I used an old credit card to help apply it and get the bubbles out. It does take some patience to get good results. Overall, I was satisfied with the results. Magic tint is a good product. Time will tell if it'll last and not bubble up with changes in temperature and humidity.

Decent product - tough to install
Black Magic Select window tint film is decent enough product, but is is tricky to install. You really have no room for error. Installing on curved windows involves either some tricky work piecing sections together or stretching the film (as suggested by a friend that allegedly does this for a living). I made a paper template and and used a razor to carefully cut the film to fit. Well, I did that on the first three tries. The last two, I just winged it. Those two attempts came out better, but still not good enough to keep. I would have made a sixth attempt, but I really did not have enough film left and had no desire to provide my so called expert friend with even more material to laugh at. He swears that the material is first rate. I just think you either need to have some patience and skill - especially if you want to put it on a curved window (flat glass should not be an issue) or you should break down and pay somebody to tackle the project. I included a couple of pictured showing a light through the tint film (the circle) and through the open hole in the package. The second picture of of the film itself. The actual film is slightly darker than the sample on the package. Not a huge issue, but worth noting.

Difficult tint to install with no experience
I received the Black Magic 20 VLT tint as a product review. There was enough of the tint to cover the front 2 windows on a Tahoe. The instructions were kind of all over the place and difficult to follow. It recommended using a special application fluid when applying the tint but it didnt come with it. We used a mix of soapy water which is what was suggested if you didnt have the special application fluid. Although the soapy water helped, I would be curious to see how much better the special application fluid worked with adjusting the tint once its placed on the window. We also used a plastic putty knife instead of a squeegee. The tint film comes with a backing on it to protect the adhesive. That alone was a pain to separate. It would have be nice if it would have had a starter tab to pull the backing off. It states in the directions that you must be careful with the film because if you bend it at all it will leave a crease mark that will not come out. It was hard to peel the backing off without creasing the film. You really need to make sure you have someone help you when applying the film. Even after it has been cut down to fit the window it wants to roll back up on itself. Once you pull the backing off and the adhesive is exposed, you really need to make sure the film doesn't roll up. We measured the window and applied the film like the instructions stated. The edges were difficult to line up and cut in a smooth fashion. I was a little worried about nicking the rubber seal around the window with the razor blade. Like I said earlier, the soapy water helped a little to keep the film wet so that we could move it around to line it up right but it ripped on the edge trying to pull it to the side. Once we got it into place, I was surprised at how well we were able to get the air pockets and water pushed out. We let the windows sit overnight and didnt attempt to roll them down until after they sat in the sun for a few hours. Apparently this helps for the film to cure to the window. I went and checked the windows the next day and if they are rolled all the way up they look pretty good. Its a decent tint and there were no air pockets. You could see out the window clearly and it helped block the sunlight. But if you roll it down half way then you really see how bad the edges look. Im curious to see how long it lasts before it starts flaking off at the edges. Over all to sum up. If you have installed tint before on your own then this would probably be a good product for you. But if you have no experience then I suggest you buy extra so you get a practice run. If I had to use this product again I could probably get a better finish now that I know more. Im not apposed to purchasing it in the future. I gave it 4 stars because it seems like a good product, the issue is installing it with no experience.

    Not just for cars.
When you have to eliminate a problem, sometimes you need to "THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX." I have a 120 gallon aquarium that is exposed to a lot of sunlight from surrounding windows. This creates a problem with algae growth because of the UV rays. Other than blocking the sun out completely by covering the windows, I decided to try this product made for cars. I was not sure about the differences in tint, as I have never used this type of product before. I hoped it would not be too dark so that I couldn't see my fish. This actually worked perfect, it was the right size and length, and I could not be happier. It was easy to install by myself. I used glass cleaner to clean the glass, squirt water on it with a spray bottle, and used a soft cloth to smooth out any air bubbles. It was easy because the glass is completely rectangle without curves, and I used a razor to trim about an inch off. Plus, I like that its removable in case I should ever have to. NO sticky glue to ruin the glass. Package says it blocks up to 90% of UV rays and has heat and glare protection. I wonder why no one else ever thought of using this product for this purpose. Now that I am happy, I am going to spread the word to other aquarium owners who have the same COMMON problem with sunlight on their tanks. This will open up a whole new customer base for these products. Picture is of the difference in clarity with and without the film and a close up. AWESOME product. Thank you for allowing me to try this.

    Easy to apply!
Finally a tint we can do ourselves! My husband and I have tried at home tinting a couple of times before, and it did not end well. Usually included a trip back to the store for more tint after we messed up the first batch, and eventually giving up. This Black Magic Select Window Tint was a breeze to put on! It covered the back window with plenty leftover and was easy to apply. Best of all we didn't end up with a ton of air bubbles that wouldn't come out no matter how much we squeegeed! It went to well that I think we are going to buy more to do the back two windows on our car now! You do need a few things suck as a spray bottle, squeegee, ruler and tape, razor blade, towel, and detergent, but all of these things are stuff we already had around the house so it was no big deal! The instructions were very clear and I feel they helped up to complete a successful job! I will totally be looking to Black Magic for any other tint jobs we have in the future. It looks fantastic and has already gotten compliments!

    Easy to install
Black Magic window tinted film was just the thing I needed to ease the effects of the sun on my driver's side window. The roll of tint can be cut to the size and shape I wanted, and placed inside my window. The instructions say to use a razor, not scissors which I admit I did not do, I made two trays at it and the second one I put up was much better. The piece I cut was about 6 inches by 12 inches, just enough to help protect the side of my face from the heat of the sun. I does help, I can't feel the heat as bad anymore. My car's visor misses the spot where its needed the most so the Black Magic window tint fills in the rest. The first piece I pit up eventually started coming off when I put my window up and down, but the second piece is still holding. Follow the instructions to the letter and there will be no problems.

    Love the results!
So happy with how my windows turned out! I've wanted to tint my windows since I've had my Jeep and didn't want to spend a fortune. Finally, a solution for a price I can afford and able to do myself! The tint was fairy easy to apply, but I do recommend getting the black magic tint kit to go along with the tint film itself. Since I didn't have that, I just washed my window as well as I could (microfiber cloth, not paper towel!) and then ran a dryer sheet to collect the rest of the dust along the edge of the window. Then measured the window and cut the film with a sharp razor knife. I also used a credit card to make sure all the air bubbles were pushed out while putting the film on. If you are doing it outside, don't do it in direct sunlight and make sure it's warm enough that it won't freeze for up to 3 days after you put the tint on. Having the tint on has kept the hot sun from hitting me while driving and keeps my car so much cooler ! Not to mention privacy ! Love love love!

    Good Product
This item was used to tint two of four windows of my 2015 GMC Canyon. The tint perfectly matched the tint that was already installed on two windows when we purchased the vehicle. It was fairly easy to install, and the windows look good. The product is of good quality, but the final results will be based on the user. It saved me $150.00, and I recommend this product.

    It's not bad
I've been considering tinting my windows for yrs every summer. I just never fully looked into it to be honest. I was happy to receive this product. It comes with just the tint film. It does give you directions On how to apply. Yet it doesn't include everything you need to apply This product in the right way. You will need a spray bottle & a squeegee to get rid of the air bubbles. Not to mention a blade like utensil to cut around the corners of the tint film to match your window size. I had to order these products separately from ( Amaz** ) . All in all it seems like a good product.
