Can get pretty loud
I have had this for a couple of weeks now and love it. This it is the first item I have had with built in Alexa and thought it was going to be hard to get it going, but it was really easy. All I had to do was download the Alexa app on my phone and add all the other apps I wanted to use, like Pandora, Amazon music, and all the other music apps my family uses. The hardest part for me was remembering all my logins, lol I also added all my apps to the Bose app just so I have everything available and ready to go. Again all I had to do was download the Bose app. The Bose app is easy to navigate and get the speaker ready for use. It does get pretty loud and the sound quality is really crisp and clean. I love that I can take it anywhere I want to and listen to Music and the handle makes it easy to transport. As for battery life, can say yet how long it last when listening to music, but I do know it will only last about 2 days unplugged and on standby. It is a decent size and is nice looking for a speaker. I love playing with Alexa, and she does respond to everything we ask her. Playing music is so simple, can ask for certain songs, bands, stations, apps. Very easy to use. This is a great addition to our home.

Great Sound but Software Support Needs Improvement
I was really excited to try this Bose portable speaker, and I really wanted to like it but, after testing it out for about a week, I was disappointed. First off, I do want to say that this speaker is very well built and the sound is AMAZING. The sound is clear and crisp, with a great, balanced bass. This speaker can get VERY loud. I have never owned a Bose speaker till I received this for free in exchange for an honest review. I own various Google smart devices (Home, Hub, and Minis) and Amazon smart devices (Echo, dots) and other smart devices (Ring, Sensi, etc.). I never have trouble with setup and I consider myself tech-savvy. This portable speaker has a very good battery life. It boasts up to 12 hours and I would say that is pretty accurate. It comes with a super fast C type USB wall charger, which is great. I have a Pixel 3A and the Bose charger, according to my husband, charges even faster than the one that came with our Pixels. To get started, you have to download the "Bose Music" app, available for iOS and Android. It will update the speaker's software, and help you with setup of wifi, music apps, and etc. You can and must choose between Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa, but you can always change it later. This also has built-in bluetooth connectivity. After you choose an assistant, the app will redirect you to your Google Home or Alexa app to finish setup. The wifi connectivity on this product is good. I tested it outside in my backyard, which isn't too big (20 ft radius from my house, 50 ft radius(?) from my router) and it never cut out or lagged. According to Bose, this speaker can be used in conjugation with all of the Bose smart speaker and soundbar family, which would be a nice feature if you wanted to have a house party and play the same music throughout the house or have surround sound while you watch a movie. Like I said already, I don't have other Bose speakers so I wouldn't know how easily or well they connect. That is the one feature that I really wished Google and Alexa devices could do. It would be awesome. First, I tried the Bose speaker with Google Assistant and , as an assistant, it works as well as a Google Home but with a MUCH better speaker and bass. The thing I didn't like about it, while connected to Google Assistant, was that the Bose portable speaker does NOT support Google Music. However, it does support Pandora and iHeartRadio. But because I prefer to use Google Music, I had to change the settings on my Google Home app to Pandora to test its capabilities out, which meant it changed it for ALL my Google devices. Next, I linked it to Amazon Alexa. It worked fine. It was able to play Pandora and Amazon Music. But I prefer Google's search and capabilities better in general, so this is not the fault of Bose. So because of these factors, I think I will be using this Bose portable speaker with the Google Assistant but more as a bluetooth device to cast to. Sorry Bose without owning other Bose devices, in my particular case, this is just an expensive bluetooth speaker.

    Amazing sound
    amazing speaker I love its size and shape it is small, not at all heavy, easy to carry especially because of the soft handle. It is so nicely designed. I love the water resistant feature. the control panel is located on the top of the speaker it has a power button, the Bluetooth, play/pause , volume up and down, mute and settings. it was pretty easy to set up the speaker i downloaded the Bose music app and the setting was easy. The app need a few permissions to be able to connect to the speaker like access to your location and of course as it is connecting by bluetooth your phone's bluetooth need to be activated. you can enable sharing the speaker which means someone else can add the same speaker to their Bose music account. once the speaker is added to the app you just log in and pick the music service you want to use here are the choices that you will have : Pandora, Amazon music, Deezer, I heart radio, Siriusxm, and Spotify. I connected my amazon music account and it worked perfectly. I also added my google assistant so i can use the voice control feature and it worked fine. the most attractive thing about this speaker is the sound, it has an amazing sound really you can definitely use it to play music during small parties. another great feature is the battery life. every time you turn the speaker on it will tell you the percentage of battery left so you know when it is time to plug it in. i noticed that once fully charged, i could use it for a while the most i have done so far was 9 hours isn't that amazing?

    Bose Portable Home Speaker - Wireless Smart Speaker with Bluetooth and Google Assistant Built-in This is music at its peak for I and my family. It came at the right time and it's easy all the way for us. The packaging was great,and I love the look. It looks trendy,stylish and sleek. Its features are displayed at the top of the speaker.This Speaker is wireless ,has a portable Bluetooth speaker, and can be voice-controlled speaker. I love the fact that I can move it from room to room,upstairs to downstairs and even to the backyard while receiving some air and relaxing. This can also be voice controlled through google assistant while am streaming my music. I did download the Bose music app and I compiled all my music that I loved listening to in one place. The sound is powerful and it's hard to believe that it comes from this little speaker. Its battery last up to 12 hrs which is perfect for me. I love this speaker and I do highly recommend it for its effectiveness, durability and portability

    Perfect for summer and beyond indoors & outside
    We have been enjoying the smooth, high quality 360 degree sound with this Bose Portable Home Speaker. It is really easy to use and I am impressed with this lightweight and sturdy tech device. I have streamed music through Bluetooth and Wi-Fi with no issue. It is light enough to move from room to room or to accompany me outdoors on a whim. It has a strong handle that makes it a cinch to tote around. The one thing I wish it had was function controls that were a tad larger. I like to just use the Bose Music app to control it or even easier, the speaker function. It has a sleek look and it is cushioned so it it is durable. It has already become a worry free favorite for all of us. I love that it is water resistant too so no concerns when I am enjoying my music outdoors. It has Alexa built into it so it is really multi-functional and easy to control. I love that it is totally wireless and a full charge has it working great the entire day.

    Love this All In One Smart speaker
    I love my multifunction all in one smart speaker this is the best. I can listen to music from my all devices like Airplay from iPad, android phone, connect with my amazon Alexa and google assistant voice command. It is convenient, very easy to use, and portable that's why i can take it with me everywhere i go. I like the longer battery life after a full charge i was able to use this speaker up to 10 hours without any problem. It is the most versatile home speaker ever i have owned I am very impressed with functionality and features of this wireless home speaker. I love the quality, durable, water resistant design, and crystal clear voice music quality. I can connect wirelessly with my android phone by downloading the Bose music app it works great.     There is no question this speaker is the best. Bose is such a trusted brand. This speaker is no exception. Love the Alexa feature. I can airplay with other Bluetooth audio devices. We have carried this portable speaker to the lake or to the pool. No complaints yet. Set up was easy. Highly recommend if you want a reliable speaker that has max volume. We have not even had to turn it all the way up bc it's so loud. Oh and our son keeps it in his room as an alarm clock for Alexa. Exciting for our family to have something we all enjoy

    This little portable speaker packs a punch! The sound quality is so good for the size of the unit! I love the handle so I can carry it from room to room or out to the deck etc. Its a pretty sleek design also. The light up top feature is reminiscent of Alexa and Google, The units work similarly. It works with any bluetooth device so I can stream Spotify and Audible. This is excellent for summer as I can take it to the garage, yard, pool, deck or lake. Its great when im doing projects around the house as I can move it as I go. I'm planning to bring this on my upcoming road trip it will be excellent. It charges fast and the battery last hours! The set up was easy they provide you with a quick start guide. I was able to connect it to my google devices so now I have all the tools of google assistant on this device also! I can turn on/off lights , set my home alarm open the locks the possibilities are endless. I'm so surprised at the music quality the bass is awesome on this thing. I highly recommend this device!
