Nice upgrade to the series 7
A really nice upgrade to my previous Series 7. Smoother, quieter and has a bit of an edge on an easier shving.

This had the highest recommendation from wirecutter, but I found that it didn't work nearly as well as a five-year-old $50 remington. Perhaps my technique was wrong, or it was a defective unit, or it can't handle two weeks growth, but it required about 20 passes over the same skin. As this is supposed to be top-of-the-line, I expected at least reasonable performance, so was disappointed and returned it.

    Great shaver
    It was a great purchase. My husband really enjoys it. He loves the fact that he can shave without any shaving cream and it doesn't irritate his skin at all.

    A really good shaver!
    This is a really good shaver. I bought a four-foil Braun for myself 6 years ago and ended up buying 3 more for others. This model is light years ahead of that one. It runs much quieter, gets those stubborn neck wiskers first pass, and has a long battery life. Trimmer is just okay though and a bit ackward to use.

    Perfect for sensitive skin

    Good except for the stand
    The razor shaves well, quite close and comfortable. The large head makes it hard to shave in tight spaces, ie between my mustache and nose but that is to be expected, The trimmer works well for trimming sideburns and mustaches. My only complaint is the stand. It is hard to place the razor in the stand and it is not very stable.
