Avoid!
I bought two 35lb plates and two 5lb plates, under the impression that CAP was a quality brand. I was mistaken. The powdercoating and forging on them is very poor quality. Three of the four weight barely slide onto my bar and severely scratched the coating on my bar. The other one is so bad the it could not fit onto the bar at all. The only way to get them to fit and not scratch my bar was to grind the metal and powdercoating down with a sander. I wouldn't waste your time playing the return game and hoping you get plates that aren't defective. Just spend a little more and get something that's not made by CAP.

    The product is fine except for one problem the hole is slightly to small because I guess when the plate was being made a little extra metal didn't get smoothed out you can see it if you look at the bottom part other than that this product is great and would definitely buy again

    Poor quality control. Sent to me not able to fit
    Holes cut poorly or the covering is put on pourly... the hike meant to be round so it would fit on a bar has excess metal on it so it's not round and it does not fit on the bar due to this

    Have a grinder ready.
    Like some of the other reviews said, mine were unusable when they arrived. I bought two 35's and neither would go on the bar without a lot of grinding first. I give two stars since i had the tools to grind and fix these. This is hard metal and a file will get you nowhere. If these are factory seconds, then they should be listed as such.

    Rough weight, sharp edges
    Plates are very rough/sharp. Looks like no one spent the time to clean up the weight after it was casted. If not careful, they will cut your fingers

    I feel they are great for the price.
    I feel they are great for the price. FYI - I've only purchased 2.5, 5 and 10 lbs. plates to supplement my current plates. Price was great and quality is a solid "B" in my book. I'll buy more of this brand if I need them in the future. Delivery was within 5 days as well.

    Lowest quality plates. Defective and unusable.
    The plates have sharp edges, chunks missing and big spikes of metal protruding in the center hole. The spikes in the center hole will scratch your bar severely. In one plate the center hole wasn't even a circle. It had a straight edge 1.5 inches long that made it so the plate could barely be slid on the bar. Once it was on the bar it couldn't sit straight and was hanging diagonally. CAP plates sold in the stores are good quality. The ones sold online are terrible. I ordered 6 online in the 25lb

    Do not pair with bumper plates
    Used the plates on an Olympic bar with bumper plates and the plate broke during my first workout from a common drop. These would be fine for lifts that don't involve drops (bench, squats, etc) but don't pair them with bumper plates for lifts where you are dropping the bar. Walmart return in store was easy.
