At first sight I thought it will be difficult to assemble but it actually was easier to look at the picture on the box opposed to using the instructions although I've looked at instructions in between looking at the picture in the box to assemble the track properly. It took me 30 to 40 minutes to put the track together properly I waited for my husband to bring the batteries and I added the battery to the track then it was kind of strange seeing the little Velcro magnetic parts underneath the cars but I was able to place them at the starting point on the track day when I push the controller to start the cars neither one move so I make sure that they the USB or the part that connects to the battery operated box that it was all the way in then I push the cars back behind the brackets for start then once I push the controller the blue car which is the thunder Jack thunder that one move the fastest and then the scene in the video attach the lightning McQueen was moving super slow.

    Ideal Tyco replacement
    Had some concerns when making the purchase, I was trying to find something like the old Tyco electric slot cars and happy to say this performed similar. it would be nice if the track assembled and disassembled easier but not a big issue. The cars will fly off the track if a younger child just mashes the button so 5 plus is probably an ideal age

    Difficult Track
    Overall this product could use some improvements. First of all the track was difficult to connect together. You had to make sure the pins lined up but once you did it was still difficult to push together. I would recommend this product for ages 10 and up for sure . The cars are difficult to keep on the track but once you do get it they zoom pretty fast. One of our cars was extremely difficult to get going. We kept trying to fray the bottom connectors to get a better connection with the track and eventually it worked but not without much difficulty. My kids were very frustrated with this track and almost gave up altogether.

    This was a fun way to let our competitive side out. The Carrera comes with 2 cars and it's on a electric track with connected remotes. It's was difficult at first to keep the cars on the track but after a while we got it. Would definitely recommend to anyone with kids from 4-8.

    Awesome Track!
    I got this for my Grandchildren and Daycare kids. The size is impressive and the ease of play as well. It's not too complicated for them to have just enough fun and learn the functions. They love the fact that it was "Cars" as well. Nice job on making another toy that proves safe and fun.

    Fun but with frustration
    We received a Carrera GO!!! Battery Operated Disney Pixar Cars Track Action Slot Car Race Track Set from Home Tester in exchange for an honest review. Upon opening, the directions were located for setup. I found them confusing to follow and relied heavily on the picture on the box to complete the setup. The tracks snap together but the interlocking pieces could be easily broken if not careful. This part definitely requires an adult to complete. The cars sit on the track and a wired remote at the starting line powers them. While my children had fun racing, they often faced frustration if they pressed down on the control too hard as it would propel the car off the track. The speed was impressive, but useless as the cars seem to constantly fly off the track once it came to any type of bend. If this aspect was fixed, I think it could be a 5 star toy as when we were able to keep the car on the track, the kids had great fun!

    Great product but needs little improvement
    My son was so excited when he saw this. It was easy to put together. The tracks and the cars, everything is of great quality! Very impressed. It came with instructions but can be better. It's an excellent toy but, 1. if you speed up the cars they fly off the tracks 2. The cars make a humming sound when running 3. The instructions are not kid friendly. Clearer would be better. Once set up my son had an amazing time with it!!

    So cool!
    This track set is amazing! It is super easy to setup and my boys (4&5) and my self have been playing for about two hours! The only thing I dislike is that the cars fly off track if you go too fast. Its already hours of fun and teamwork building which is a plus for any parent! The colors and details are great too! Hands down a 10/10 we LOVE it!

    My kiddos were very happy with the cars race track. They enjoy playing together and racing eachother. We love that there were two control so two people could race the cars at once. When it came they played with it for a good hour without getting up or stopping. I see myself buying one soon for my nephew and my niece to play with together!
