Not happy
The bolt is too long. I can't get it to install on my car properly. Also there's no cushioning on the metal plates? It's metal to metal contact from the j hooks to my crossbars. The j hooks will damage the crossbars.

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser07/24/2022Good value, good qualityOverall construction is sturdy, good padding, instructions were easy to follow; I gave them 4 stars because of an issue that the longer bolt on each holder was 1/4" too long to fit between the luggage rack bracket and the roof so it had to be cut shorter with a hacksaw. Also the teeth grips on the tie down strap buckles seem rather weak to hold firmly so am using other heavy duty ratchet straps instead. Overall, good buy for the price.Nanatriker

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser09/24/2021Good value for what you get.It works, but a bit archaic. Pleased that I found this low cost solution to transporting my kayaks atop my car with its round crossbars.Dawn

2.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser08/30/2021Not practicalGood price but not practical at all. Middle bolts are too long; you'll need to cut them, so they don't bounce off your roof. Wouldn't recommend it. Spend more for a brand name like Thule or YakimaAJ Figueroa

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser07/20/2021Kayak Carrier Installation Required ModificationI mounted the carriers on a 2008 Toyota Sienna. It came with roof racks and because of this I had to shorten the long screws, but not too much so as to allow the finger-tightening nuts to fit. And yet for the screws to be long enough to accommodate these same nuts. It was a trial and error process. And since I plan on taking the carriers off at the end of my kayak season (when the water gets hard), I'll be taking pictures and coding which screw goes where. I think I'll be looking for wing nuts for the future reinstallation.xRich

1.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser07/15/2021JunkThese are junk. Mounting hardware is a real inconvenience. The mounting screws are Philips head screws, they should be hex bolts. The screws are also way way to long so they will dig into your cars roof.Dusty

3.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser07/07/2021J RackThe racks came with no instructions. They were difficult to put together for one person, and the holes for the bolts were little off which made it difficult. With help I was able to get three together of the four. May need further assistance to get the fourth done.Kerwin2
